- Taking you for a drive in my Tesla Model 3 on the UK roads. POV with a 0-60 test, reversing, narrow lanes, pot holes and mud tracks around some country roads. Giving you an idea of what it’s like to be in the Model 3 mixing a combination of POV and passenger angles.

Have an idea for my next video?
If you pursue aftermarket 'fixes' e. g. for wind noise, road roar, or mods (covering the shiny piano black etc) that would be interesting. Or covering the minuses of the car - e.g. wipers, fit and finish, but in an even handed, objective way. No fanboyism, no "it's a lemon!" Very listenable tone, good vids btw. .
Thanks Adam, I love the car, but definitely trying to keep it real too. You're right too, it's too easy to be blinded by the good, to not cover the negatives. Good idea.
V3 supercharger road trip?
Make a video of tips of what NOT TO DO! With a Tesla model 3 there’s a lot of habits we bring to the Tesla that is a big no no example we are a custom to just turning of our car and walk in to our home now! With a Tesla we can’t forget to charge it I know sounds simple but it’s a must!
Would like to see how it handles speed bumps. Now no air suspension. Imagine performance edition would be worse.
Love how he blurred the speedo when he was breaking the law 🤣
frrrr lool
I spend half my week driving, and I just watched a man drive for 11 minutes. Very relaxing.
Was it a tesla tho?
what car do you drive
Thanks for sharing your beautiful car again. There seems to be very few videos on RUclips of decent Tesla videos in the UK specifically from owners and not people reviewing a rental. Love your style. Humble and are not showing off at all. Loving your journey so far from picking up the car to this little route. I thought It was nice to see both camera angles. The POV is great for the drivers angle. A great video would be a reaction video to any passengers you have, especially on the 0-60.
Thanks Lee, I really appreciate that, and the time to comment too. Great idea on the reaction video, I’ll have to have a think about that too.
So true
This channel is literally like heaven for me. I'm a tech enthusiast and I gain alot of inspo from this channel also this video is absolutely beautiful. Love the English countryside and will eventually want to get in a Tesla! Keep up the good work SpawnPoiint
Thank you mate. That’s so nice to hear too 🙏
Great video! Been wanting one of these model 3s since it got announced but I'm kinda waiting to see the new VW id3 to see what that's all about. Also loved it how you blurred out at mph when you went over 60 hahah
Love the POV, feels like I'm driving. Also love the challenging roads, good choice. Feel anxious when you pass parked cars in case a pet or person didn't hear you...
You're in Market Weighton in between York and Hull.
Specifically, you start off in Market square, and head out up spring road past St Helens Well and head on towards Kiplingcotes. You were roughly passing Dalton park when you cut the camera. When you had turned around, you can back down past Dalton Park and this time past the race course, and turn left back towards spring road. Then you detour through Goodmanham before coming back to where you started.
Also, much preferred the passenger headrest mount. Way easier to see things, but it doesn't give the drivers perspective as much. Consider mounting it on a suction mount with the sunroof in the center?
Spot on,
Really great vid thanks! A good demonstration of the car and our typical UK road "system" ! I've been driving for over 30 years, owned 60+ cars, the Model 3 is the only car I'm am yearning for! Hopefully, I'll be in one soon! Nice cam work, pass seat cam was better!
Thanks Mark, see what you think to my latest video, I've got a new mount for it. Also, best of luck, hope you get your hands on one.
It is nice to see someone actually driving a model 3 instead of just using autopilot all of the time
Yeah
Great idea to do one on country lanes (narrow roads) as very specific to the UK, I think. Does the screen give notice of oncoming cars any quicker than what you can see with the naked eye please? Say if you were driving on a bendy country lane where it’s always a bit touch and go as to what the driver can see, would the screen “see” the oncoming vehicle at all? Cheers, nice video mate!
Good question. I’m not sure if it would see much further than you can.
I've watched many Tesla Model 3 videos but this is the first time I got a real sense of what it would be like driving it. I love the minimal interior and lack of buttons and knobs. The acceleration is insane. I hope I can buy a Tesla someday.
Thanks for the kind words, appreciated! Good luck too, it's an awesome car.
I love combustion engines - the sound, the sound, the feel and the act of shifting gears. BUT, its fair to say this is the future. I think if ever I came into some money and could afford it I'd have solar panels and an electric vehicle at home. At the moment, an electric vehicle is just beyond my financial means and I live in a very rural location (more rural than the video) so I'd need some 4x4 type electric vehicle just to reach my cottage as its just a rough track. Also, my work van is diesel and at the moment I just cant change to electric, but I would if I could. I'd actually like to see no talking and just a typical trip from say your home to your work place or wherever. Just ambient sounds are very cool sometimes.
Sheeesh those roads are so beautiful and that tesla sound is perfect
Mix of both good. But much more stable on the headrest...
Thanks for making these videos, and I can't wait to get mine. The camera on the head is best I think. Enjoy the Yorkshire 'God's own' country 😉
The lack of an instrument binnacle bothers me, a heads up display would be handy
Great video! Fellow East Riding folk ‘ere 😃
The passenger headrest mount is a very good view surprisingly! I’d say it’s better than on your head. First person I’ve seen try it, very good 👌
Thanks mate.
This is like a spaceship. It moves without going through different gears and rpm range. This will be the model i would get if i buy a Tesla. Performance version is just overkilled for my life style and commute. Great vid.
Enjoyed that, quite relaxing and encouraging having just ordered a Model 3! You’ve also convinced me to buy a head harness for my metal detecting videos 😂 thanks for the video 👍
Thank you, enjoy the new car (and head harness) 😂
Great effort, seems more stable when the phone is on you,and more involvement.Keep up the good work 👍
Thank you. I have a new mount which will be even better next time too 😊
What a car it's my dream car when I'm older
Enjoyed the ride around the Yorkshire Wolds immensely - you live in Market Weighton 5 miles from us!!! Fascinating car but I like the iPace personally.
Spot on yes, not far at all then.
All areas of the uk looks the same, I’m from Hertfordshire and I could say this was Hertfordshire also
It's good old yorkshire that
Was thinking Wiltshire?
Angel Starr all parts of London looks the same 😂
Fun video. We are lucky in England. I love these rural roads, seeing all the old walls and buildings.
Harry Marshall I live in England and they aren't fit for purpose. Shit roads, potholes
@@honestrunescaper Lucky? Huh. UK is the least fun place to drive I've ever lived. The road in video is actually typical, this would be a normal connecting road between rural towns not a 'fun' optional route. I'd say 10% of driving here is enjoyable and relaxed, the other 90% is inching past cars/obstacles
@@latorregolf definitely; the roads are tiny here
Oh wow! What a gorgeous car. I'd say middle of the country. Maybe Cotswold or lake District although your accent sounds a tad Bristolian.
Cutting edge technology, really impressive. Looking forward to the day the price goes down and electric becomes the norm. For now I'll have to admire Tesla while I'm in parking lots or driving past them. Tesla model 3 is definitely FTW!
KhalsaSoulja haha good guess on the accent 😂 spot on. This is filmed in Yorkshire though. I hope electric becomes the norm, and the second hand market gets flooded with these 🙏
Have you only got one arm? Two hands on the wheel please. Is there a heads up display option on the three?
Sorry Dad.
@@SpawnPoiint just the old habits. Ex roads policing here 👍
EVs are heavy, you are decreasing your chances of reacting effectively to such things as tyre blow outs etc. Good advice is just that, take it.
East Yorkshire definitely. Perhaps near Bursea or Spaldington? Or somewhere in that reigon.
Edit: I think I saw a sign at 6:43 that said South Dalton and Market Weighton
Spot on!
Love the driver perspective. The interior is so clean. Looks like a breeze to drive. I think a Tesla is great for accessibility it has lots of features other designers don't consider for drivers with a disability (like me) Not too sure of the suspension though, your video highlighted that well, unless seat comfort makes up for it, might need visit to spa after a trip on country lanes. Thanks for posting, I found this video interesting and entertaining.
GTA is getting crazy realistic! cool video mate... did you get any funny looks wearing the phone on your head?
Mate, I felt like I was the Google Street View car 😂
SpawnPoiint future career change ahead 😂👌🏻
well you are near Market Weighton (lovely Village) so I'm gonna say you're driving to Pocklington? Met the mother of my Daughter in Pocklington. Lovely part of the world!
Countries are the best for relaxing drives.
Glad you enjoyed mate, thanks for watching.
Hello Yorkshire 😄 .. great video, soo tempted to hit that order button on Tesla’s website .. mainly due to how effortless it makes driving!! But range anxiety kicks in and diverts me towards the Macan 😄😄
Haha spot on. Wow they are totally different, not even close. What do you think you’ll do?
SpawnPoiint 😄😄 Not sure yet.. I drive an Audi Q at the moment and deciding whether to keep it or trade it.. my friend recently got the model 3 and that display which constantly shows what’s around plus the self driving features especially on motorways are just brilliant features .. think no other cars can match that level of tech!! Will decide on something soon and do a video on my channel as well 😊 but really nice video .. liked both the pov perspective & the driver headrest view 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks mate. I appreciate the feedback. Good luck with whatever you decide.
I chopped my Macan turbo in for the model 3p - never looked back 😀
Very interesting. I've been driving ICE cars for nearly 40 years, and the quietness of your Tesla is uncanny, but as you say it's remarkable how other sounds start to sound intrusive at a lower level. The footage from your phone looks great. I like the passenger POV, not for the image, but also because it clearly records how quiet the car is.
I like the passenger side pov since i have never been in tesla model 3 before. It gives me a idea for how its like to be in a model 3.
I genuinely chuckled to myself when you floored it just before 4mins and blurred the speedo! LOL
Can't be too careful 😂
This is most definitely East Riding.
Thanks for the videos, I was debating which model 3 to go for but after watching these videos I went for the LR.
Good spot, it certainly is! That's awesome too, hope you are/will enjoy it.
@@SpawnPoiint Only ordered it the other day, hopefully I should be allocated one from the boat that is sailing across the Atlantic at moment.
Enjoy the boat watching. I did that for months too 😂
Was not expecting to see Market Weighton on a Tesla POV video. Lived there for a couple of years, moved to the big city, well York at the end of 2020. Driven those backroads in this video many times myself.
I do remember seeing a Model 3 round town at the start of 2020, they weren't a common sight on the UK roads at that time, so I can only assume that was your Tesla.
Hi, thus has only just popped up in 2024! One of those roads looks like a back road from Friday Thorpe to Malton that i used to use for work...or at least that area.
Have you tried taking it abroad and driving on the wrong side of the road? A quick pop over to France could be interesting, see if it can deal with that in any way.
Thanks, I think (?), for making me so homesick for the UK. Great video.
You should.look into the rubber window seal kit that's available for roof glass it cuts down wind noise considerably
That was the bridge near Kiplingcoats station, I have a Red model 3 in Beverley, Cya around Maybe!
I'm sure I will, I frequent Flemingate (not right now) for the free charging while we shop.
I've been looking at Tesla Model 3 videos fr a while but this is a superb insight from a practical viewpoint. I get my Tesla 3 delivered in April . It'll be nice if you did a video on the cost of running this / the interiors and the infotainment -- am sure your viewers would love it since you take a no nonsense approach..also ..are there any accesssories you recommend ? kudos....
Thanks for the comment Syed, I appreciate that. I did cover my running costs in my last video (titled 6 weeks later), see what you think.
@@SpawnPoiint Yes --just saw it --top man... i have raised two queries --one for the spoiler link (where you purchased it ) and the benefits of tinting the car.. will appreciate if you could answer those.. again ..well done..these videos are so effective... hope you reach 10000 subscribers soon..
Superb video as always dude. Still can't get over how quiet it is and also that 0-60 time. Would love to take the Mini on some of these roads 👀😂
Haha thanks mate, these roads are awesome 😂
What happens if something goes wrong with your Tesla ? Is it expensive to fix ?
Nice pov. Sold my M3 LR a couple of weeks ago and miss it already. Though upgrading to a similar crossover that’s arriving in a couple of weeks. Think I’ll miss the go-kart feel of the M3 the most..
Oh nice, what did you go for next?
Yes 1000% market Weighton, my sister lived on finkle street! I used to go to that pond all the time
Haha spot on!
Great video. Really found the experience of the car quite interesting. Still amazed at how quiet it is.
Thanks David. It’s incredible just how quiet it is.
@@SpawnPoiint I find my Model 3 to be noisy - lots of wind noise above 40 or so. Would love to do a compare - near Wetherby here, not a million miles from you.
Thanks for the pleasant ride man!
Great video. Loving the head cam view. You could use that as a dash cam. :) Hoping to get a SR+ soon.
Thank you. Luckily there’s a dash cam built into the car anyway 😂
NE Texas here. No clue where you’re driving :-) Although it looks as though you’re driving on one lane roads, which was a little terrifying.
Beautiful car. I would live to own one. M3 long range.
Definitely get the mudguards or it will probably have paint issues from the mud and stones. It maybe free from tesla
Great work. Cheers from Sydney Australia 🇦🇺👍🔥🍺
Thank you.
Loved the video, please upload more trips!
Very relaxing. Nice vid mate.
Prefer a speed reading in front of me not just in a corner of a big screen, I have driven a model x a few years ago big screen and a little screen behind the wheel. Better for areas with lots of speed cameras
You need a cybertruck dude
If only they made a #cybercity... City-car version...
Hi @SpawnPoiint - Cool videos😎
Would you do a video of how much your battery capacity has gone down since you got the car?
Thanks for this, I’m seriously looking at the model 3 and your videos have really helped. You may have already mentioned this but I wondered whether you have standard Autopilot or if you went for the full self driving with summon etc. and if you did then whether you think it’s worth it? Cheers
Thank you David. I have the standard autopilot, not the full self drive option. I don’t see the value in the FSD here.
SpawnPoiint Thanks, for that. I agree, I’ve had a C350e for the last 3 years and never used the auto park once but used the Distronic cruise control all the time. Cheers
Market Weighton?
Looks like Norfolk with all the potholes lol
after watching the video this really made me wanting to test drive a Tesla
Worcestershire
Thanks dude, I’ll take that as a compliment! I hope you get chance to drive one.
Me and the Mrs ordered a model 3 using your code just before the lockdown, Tesla called two weeks later to say our car was ready to pick up , we hadn’t even managed to get a home charge fitted ! I’m hoping we can still go ahead after this nightmare is over fingers crossed , great video and looks like the East Yorkshire Beverly area ?
Ah that’s awesome. Thank you too. How are you finding it?
SpawnPoiint no I’ve asked them for a delay I’m not sure how things are going to pan out financially after this lockdown , I was just amazed at the two week delivery time , as the estimate was 2 months !
I love how when you hit the speed limit you blurred out the speedometer
Can’t be too careful even if only 1mph over 👀
love that car .
Perfect conditions for autonomous driving 😀
These are the perfect roads for a blast 😍
You near York/Beverley?
How's the paint? Been a lot of complaints about brand new paint being covered in sanding marks etc. 2 or 3 hae had to be corrected from new nearby
The second half of the clip have given me an idea for an ASMR video
Where do you rest your left hand while driving, I too drive the same way in India, Right hand on Steering and left hand on the Gear or Arm Rest. I would like to see more driving Videos of yours with a calm explanation, I feel I am driving.
love the video really cool! have you noticed any problems with leaks during heavy rain or stuff like that, basically any water getting into the car at all? thanks!
No issues at all yet with water. Even the reported boot lip (when you open the boot water can enter the boot) issue I’ve not had.
@@SpawnPoiint that's great thanks for the reply!!
Do you always drive one-handed?
Great vid, thanks very much. How much did this cost all-in in £?
Enjoyed the ride mate :)🙏🔥
Thanks mate 😊
Wales or Cornwall or Devon lol. I can't remember driving on narrow lanes like that for miles Yorkshire dales or the lakes
Hi, have you got your model 3 wrapped or are you considering it ?
hahaha loved how he blurred his speedometer so he doesn't catch a case
went from a recording his driving vlog now to his gaming vlog you've came a long way spawnpoint
Thanks dude. Basically just share videos on what I like 😅
Both work very well.
Please keep us updated on how the car does long-term driving on such roads. My i3 is about 4 years old and the dashboard has picked up quite a few rattles.
Not a big fan of single lane country roads tbh, having to give way to oncoming vehicles and they have more potholes and are dirtier. I wonder if autopilot works on them.
I love to drive and i enjoyed
*In and around the Wonderful North Yorkshire moors not too far away from Beverly. Am I right or not ?*
Do you have autopilot? Would be interesting to see how it handles the narrow roads \ passing points that I saw in your video (my Tesla on order so I have no experience of AP yet apart from motorways).
The little grey steering wheel does not popup on these roads so autopilot is not available.
Autopilot is illegal on roads except motorways in UK I think
Are you by any chance around the East Riding of Yorkshire? Seems a bit familiar, kind of Elloughton Dale and Walkington-ish.
I can see that the dual motor will definitely be good for you living around roads like that in the winter, especially if it snows.
I'm desperately trying to save up a deposit, but due to budget it's looking like it will be the standard range plus I end up getting, but I'm sure it will be nice
Yes good guess, not too far from there at all. Are you around these ways? The SR+ is absolutely awesome too, I test drove one and loved it too.
@@SpawnPoiint I am just in the East Riding, to the West of Hull.
I saw an American model 3 in Manchester when it came as a demo to the U.K in December 2018, and then test drove the model S in Leeds in January 2019 and was lucky enough to be offered a lift back to the train station in a model X. I then got the opportunity to go back to Leeds last August and test drove the standard range plus, and really loved it. There is just nothing quite like a Tesla, as you are obviously more than aware. Fabulous cars
Wow, you’ve certainly experienced more Tesla’s than me! You’re probably not too far from me either, I’m west of Beverley. Oh, if you test drove in August 2019, I drove the same one (gunmetal SR+) also in August.
@@SpawnPoiint yes indeed, it was the gunmetal sr+. Maybe we'll both get a chance to try the model Y there too at some point, which according to the news today may be imminent. Hope so
yeah, is it something that I want to see again :)
I’m your 1000 subscriber.
Congrats and thank you.
I love tesla models. They are amaizing cars from my point of view maybe becacause I can't drive? :'D hahahaha My dream to have a car like this and drive it. Thank you for the video. I think , I will watch more of this to have some idea how is it to drive it.
You driving around Market Weighton near Hull/York as clearly shown on the signs around the journey ;)
Thought it looked a bit like East Yorkshire . . . and I was right! - (I'm based near Driffield)
KNOW WHERE YOU ARE. YOUR AT THE BACK ROADS NEAR POCKLINGTON AND MKT WEIGHTON IN EAST YORKSHIRE.
Spot on 👍
I'm not a fan of the tesla interior tbh
Location is St Helen's Square, Market Weighton, Yorkshire (East Riding).
Spot on 👍
Which town did you start in? Looks pretty
Very much like Australia, Lismore NSW, country roads
Can you compare the model 3 suspensions to a non electric car I mean which car or segment of cars equal to model 3's suspension? Is it soft? Any feeling of flying carpet or so? Thank you and greetings from Istanbul.
Hello, I’d compare it to a normal 3 series (non m sport). Thank you too.
@@SpawnPoiint Thats so cool thanks again
Great video ! My guess is Yorkshire between Beverly, market weighton and Middleton on the wolds 🤔🧐🧐
Good work Sherlock 😂 spot on.
Class, subbed. How much was the car and what version did you go for? Cheers
Prefer the head mount too
Thank you for the sub, this is the Long Range version, check my previous couple of vids 😊
SpawnPoiint what’s your real range at the moment? I have an ipace business lease looking at other options for when it’s done.
See my 6 week video, I cover my wh/mi and costs etc
feels like I'm in a Glide plane with no engine
