- Arthur can get the Legend of the East outfit once he completes all the challenges. Now he has it in Chapter 2, but you can't do Bandit 6 in Chapter 2, so what is going on???
Here are a couple of ways to get the Legend of the East outfit without needing the horse fence. As a bonus you can get the Hungarian Halfbred if you haven't managed to find it before.

Hanging Dog Ranch and the open field nearby is absolute goldmine for completing challenges and other tasks. Even the Hungarian Halfbred spawns up there, but not not very often.
Arthur's game knowledge and commentary makes it very pleasant and enjoyable to watch

I'm not sure if changes were made to the PC version, but on the Xbox version the Hungarian Halfbred spawns a lot of places that Arthur can access. Just Southeast of Bard's Crossing, West of Horseshoe Overlook along he Dakota River, North of Emerald Ranch, South of The Wapiti Indian Reservation and East of Hanging Dog Ranch are places that I have personally seen the Hungarian Halfbred.
Mine died chasing the train I was driving, made me sad. I should have hitched him properly.
They can spawn everywhere, but it's really randomized. Hungarians always spawn at the edge of the Restricted area, no matter what. There are others spots in Available area, but they are not guaranteed

Yo, when doing horseman 10 i was looking for a Tenasse Walker near Twin Stack Pass and i found 7 HUNGARIAN HALFBREDS, literally the whole horse pack was identical hungarian halfbreds...
Dont you get a Halfbred up at the Porter Homestead. I stole a Buckskin Standardbred from there in my current playthrough right at the start of C2 before paying the visit with Javier, instead of buying the P-Dap at Valentine stable, but I thought one of the other options was a Halfbred. I know you can get a Paint but who wants one of those. I might be getting Halfbred and Warmblood confused though thinking about it. Anyway, its a good early game source of quality free horces.
The Hungarian halfbred regularly spawns near Flatneck Station. The wild horse spawn is to the right of the tracks going towards the big bridge. Just make a save at Flatneck and keep reloading until the Hungarian spawns in that wild horse group.

This is an absolute genius guide, great video, extremely creative thumbs up frome me. The quickest I’ve been able to do is at the mansion at saint denis that was on my Xbox so I might do it again on my PS five but this is a brutal challenge and it blows my mind why you wouldn’t have a new game plus with something like this when people want to play the game with the outfit so this video is a savior good job

I can confirm this works as of 8/30/23. I completed Sharpshooter 10 inside the mission replay with all other challenges completed besides the Bandit challenges and got the LotE outfit in Ch 2. Thanks a lot for the tutorial

Had you unlocked Survivalist yet? I haven’t reached fishing with Jack but completed everything else except for Bandit 6 and Sharpshooter 10
Yes, I had also completed the survivalist challenges, which meant completing the Jack fishing mission. Hope this helps

Its a shame the legend of the east outfit doesn't look as good as the legend of the west outfit in rdr1
I agree. I think part of it is the fact that Arthur's original hat isn't part of the ensemble, and the one that does come with it is kinda goofy with that tilt.

Just go to big valley, eventually all 10 of the horses you need will spawn. I just got all of them from that one spot.
Awsome vid man! Was trying to do this in cp2 with the buggy method for herbalist but had forgotten about the orchids locking at 4/5 so i had to go into cp3 to get the horse fence but it still worked for skipping herbalist since i screwed myself by trying to get a jump on algernons quest. Thanks man!
I always found it pointless getting legend of the east outfit so late in the game.

also the Legendary Pronghorn...we really needed that trinket when doing the Hunting requests, but can't really get it until the epilogue! yeah I know there are ways to do it early, but the game didn't intend for us to get that until the epilogue!

@@macwettruclips.net/video/glhH52i9fyw/видео.html This is one way; its hard but it is possible to hunt it using the buggy method! however, while in the buggy you cannot use eagle eye. you have to know exactly where the clues are. you will not be able to skin and collect the pelt, but they will of course be delivered to the trapper. if I'm not mistaken the items needed for the trinket will also be delivered to the fence. I had my doubts about this method but I tried it a bit, and I did find the first clue inside the buggy (there was a question mark on the mini, but was not able to find the second clue. not being able to use eagle eye from in the buggy was a real problem for me. getting out of the buggy is hazardous to Arthurs health because of the invisible sniper. (I was killed twice while gathering the herbs in New Austin needed for the herbalist challenge). I saw it done in a video once, I think it was the legendary cougar they were hunting, though. same principle for the pronghorn of course. you can find the buggy just leaving St Denis.
@@macwett You use 3 main strats:
1) Covered buggy from Saint Denis - there is a certain type of wagon that covers Arthur's head from Sniper's shots. It can be used to get every Herb and Dinosaur Bone as well as kill each Legendary Animal in New Austin.
2) Benedict Allbright and Reverend Swanson - using "Good, Honest, Snake Oil" or "Who is Not Without Sin" you can get to South portion of West Elizabeth without Pinkertons spawning. For either of them, you need to put them on your horseback and that's done. You can explore the previously reffered part freely (and catch Legendary Fish I think).
Also, you can carry Benedict to New Austin as far to the El Bozo hideout at Gaptooth Breach to get Turtle Shell Trinket, as the enemies don't spawn and it's easier to get behind the stairs with him. All you need is to angle your camera so the sniper shoots Allbright, then while under the stairs you pull out a knife so you drop him easily and then you open the lockbox.
3) "Angelo Bronte, A Man of Honor" mission - there were various methods of using this mission to gain access to New Austin, as well as save the game with cheats still on. Most of these were patched, and those that weren't - are hard to pull off. During the escape, while still in the cementary you want to get wanted by law (they must see you). After that, you escape them and get NEAR the destination. Get close enough for John to pull up, but not close enough so the game doesn't fail you for leaving John. Then you can ride to New Austin without worrying of invisible sniper. This part usually is controversial, because it's not working 100% of the time - some people claim that you have to use Cinematic Camera while riding, and some claim that you have to take a specific route while abandoning John. I haven't done it YET, so I can't tell how to do it correctly.
Additional 4) [NOT CONFIRMED] You can use a deer carcass as a shield from invisible sniper in New Austin to get to Del Lobo hideout in Gaptooth Breach to get Turtle Shell Trinket. Follow the steps in the second strat.
@@macwett the main way is the buggy method, it’s where you get a one horse buggy from Saint Denis (it should have a canvas with a little hole in the back) and ride to where the legendary animals are. The cool thing about the buggy is that you can inspect the clues without getting out (you just need to position yourself over them
Wow, amazing. I have played this game so many times to 100% in all the achievements but only 97% in the missions for platinum,Getting gold in each is a bitch. The zoology achievement is my favourite, although the A. Wasp side mission with the orchids and plumes is great. I just LOVE this game. Wow! Well what do you know!!!!? Thanks much, brother. I replayed the Rev Swanson mission without winning any rounds pre-replay. I won three in a row in the replay and then left immediately to continue the rest of the mission. After I respawned near Horseshoe Overlook, I got the message saying I had gotten the LOE outfit. in the mission “A strange kindness” when u get free roam after the cut scene plays u could to go black water without lawmen. Just found that out yesterday(the mission is at the very end of chapter 2)
Hungarian halfbred also spawn on the heartlands and by hanging dog ranch, but that wouldn't be as entertaining!

It took a lot a patience and many tries but I learnt how to dismount, pick, and mount the buggy without dying. I got 3 of the 4 plants, panicked and got killed getting the blackcurrant. Went back just for it he blackcurrant and got. Advice: move your sticks to keep Author's head hidden, be patient and keep trying. Once you pick one, you will get it.
Herbalist 9
I'm on ps4, I would swear this method is patched out for herb 9 because I've tried dozens of times with a buggy and two times my horse has dropped dead before I can get out of the plains without patrols nearby
For some reason when I get my Arthur in the great plains, none of the plants spawn up for me. There is absolutely no plants to pick at all. I feel like R* might have made to where some people can't get them. I'm fixing to try the leg. fish over there. I hope that at least works for me lol
@@richardbigham4138.try using a wagon instead. I personally think it's better. I Never had any luck with a buggy as it kept getting blown to bits by gun fire crossing the great plains.
Again practice getting off, picking herb and getting back on wagon to find the sweet spot so camera doesn't pop through the wagons canvas.
If this happens while picking a herd Spam the pause button, this slows down the sniper shooting at u ,u should be able to collect the herb and hit save before he kills you.
Have had luck with any wagon but I prefer a Appleseed wagon.

How? Already done all of the challenges, got gold medal in who is not with the sin, but didnt got legend of the east outfit in chaptee 2. What i did wrong??
Well, it worked today with the last version. Allready got it with save corruption glitch which allows you to get it scenaristically earlier, but i was stucked in early chapter 4 with no mission available. Got it also in chapter 3 once fence unlocked 2 times. So i've completed all the challenges possibles ( for herbalist using wagon method basically, you can also do it with the carcass method but that's harder ), and only let so Gambler 10 uncompleted. The glitch didn't work 1st time donut know why, but the second it did. So i won the hands at Flatneck, then replayed Swanson mission and win two hands again, ( Got a pop up that the challenge was done once i exited the party ), then finished the mission, and got the outfit as the video showed. Great job dude, only Arthur deserves it ^^

After long breaks of not playing this game when I load it up I am always initially completely blown away at how beautiful it looks and I don't even have the best monitor out there. Sure is a nice one for the price though.
I think it's cool that you figured out. Shortcuts in the game to unlock achievements.
Like unlocking the outfit.
Personally, I do not use any shortcuts or cheats to advance in the game. I am 40 years old so I do take my time .. just to unlock thing as the storyline progresses
The purpose of the glitch is so you can obtain the legend of the east outfit as Arthur. You still have to do every other challenge which takes 18+ hours of gameplay.

Still Works! Got the Legend of the East in Chapter 2 with 85/90 Challenges finished. I did it with the Hungarian Halfbred method because the Gambler one wasn't doing it for me.
I remember the first time I was on the journey to obtaining this fit in Chapter 2 and I failed because I didn't know about the Gambler replay mission method and just played Poker in Valentine meaning I went through all those challenges for nothing well I could've gotten it in Chapter 3 but I only wanted it in Chapter 2 so I had to restart and redo everything all over again.
It aas a fun journey but I'm really glad it's over and I can finally attend to other things in this game. Thanks Insane Troll 😀🎉

I can officially confirm this. I made this glitch 5 minutes ago. The last challenge I have left is Horseman 10 and Break Wild Hungarian Half Breed in Great Plains. I play on the PS5 console. Of course, the rest of the bandit's challenges remained, just like in the movie.
You are THE MAN!! Thanks again for these tips! I tried for too many hours to do the buggy trick to collect all the herbs. I keep getting sniped somehow around Armadillo? So, I'm going to try this to collect the last 3 herbs. I have all other challenges complete except the Bandit as well. So, this would make Herbalist complete during the mission, and should reward me the Legend of the East as well. I'll let you know when I take a shot at it!! Fingers crossed!

Okay, subbed. Awesome content. I play on PC but I don’t like to cheat so this is gold. You know you can get the Hungarian halfbred near hanging dog ranch? I’ve gotten one there multiple times.
Informative AND entertaining. Alas, I cannot try this because I tried reloading RDR2 onto my Xbox One from the CD to try and play without all the party pooper patches and now it will no longer install. It stops halfway through. Two days of trying later, I just gave up.
There’s also about 10 other places to find the HH horse but this was more enjoyable to watch 😂
The Hungarian Half-bred spawns for me in the Heartlands all the time. Just yesterday I found two up on the ridge where the Mustangs appear. Seriously, in all my playthroughs I never had trouble finding it.

I seem to remember getting the HH to spawn by the fort after and in the woods if you make the trip from Lone Mule to Fort Riggs a few times.

Btw you can find HH's in a lot of places but they are still very rare.
As for going over to Blackwater like you did, if you get a single lawman from Strawberry to chase you for a minor offense the law in Blackwater won't spawn.
U can get missouri fox trotter in chapter 2 on the albert mason side quests. Its a little faster then the arabian and the glitch to get it isnt too difficult. Might be worth it to quickly get the halfbred

@@cavereschno it obviously didn’t work. All this prevents is the law from showing up in Lower West Elizabeth. The New Austin sniper is still there. Don’t understand why people believe this gets rid of the sniper. The best way to get to New Austin is the buggy method so you’ll have to do that.

One thing i find out recently could help with gambler ten, only issue is its a mission in chapter 4, but finding that out combined with this video lets me know how im gonna complete my gambler 10 challenge once i get there lol, but anyways the thing is the riverboat robbery "a fine night of debauchery"(not sure if i spelled that right) in that mission you are guaranteed to win 2 hands of poker *after guaranteed losing one* so you wanna do the riverboat robbery *then* this mission, i found this out because i ended up completing gambler one (i dont like chance very much) when i replayed the mission to get gold on it
👍Just when I thought I knew everything about this game. I'm glad this is possible, but being stuck at Rank 1 deadeye is the only downside. Plus I'm a stickler for journal organization and having all the orchids in horsehoe overlook doesn't feel right.
ive had my hungarian halfbreed from a debt collectors mission from strauss, wher u cant find that antique watch.. in the stalls from that place you can find one
I tried to take the reverend to New Austin to get Ottis Miller's revolver, but the snipers got me when I left West Elizabeth and crossed over to New Austin.
It's based on luck bust most of the rarer horses I found were around the big valley area just a bit south and southeast from hanging dog ranch.
That ending was great 😂

5th time relaunching the game, going straight to replay mission and speed to the spot where he finds the Hungarian. I found Morgans, Tennessee walkers and everything else in-between, but the Hungarian.

So many people are missing the point of this video! He obviously knows that the Hungarian Halfbred does spawn in more accessible areas...he is not saying you have to do this to complete the challenge, but that during a REPLAY if you complete the challenge like this, you can finish the challenges and get the LotE outfit as early as chapter 2!

I completed all the challenges, including the horseman challenges using Rampage Trainer to never be wanted. After that I found the Hungarian Halfbred EVERYWHERE across the river on the safe side.
For those who are struggling with the gambler I did two wins at flatneck and 2 wins in the mission didn’t work for me so I had to just play the mission and get my three wins in a row there.
I confirm, first time ( 6 months ago )i won 2 hands i the main game, and then 2 more in the replay, and today i had to win the 3 hands in a row during the replay , but still works
Can confirm as of 4/27/24 still working, just have to beat gambler 10 inside the mission, win 3 in a row.

AI Arthur didn't need to knock himself out looking for the Hungarian Halfbred.
Sometimes I'd pass by them on accident but they can be found in New Hanover I think.
Just look for herds of brown horses with white manes, they're usually in twos maybe with one Tennessee Walker with them.
That's where I found one on my first playthrough. I can always find one where you save the guy hanging off the cliff who gives you a pen

One quick question though, the Survivalist challenge can be activated only after you finish “Fisher of men” because that's how I can get the fishing rod and this mission is after Downes mission. May I ask how u activated the Survivalist challenge? I only have Downes and Mary missions at the moment, and I can't seem to activate the challenge no matter how many bluegills I caught!

to get the hungarian halfbred all u need to do is take it from Mr. Wroble from his barn in the Leopold Strauss mission, it saves a lot of time.

I didn't realize it was even remotely possible to do all of these in Chapter 2, so I never tried or looked for ways to do them. I was trying to complete as much of the optional content as possible as early in the game as I could, and had most of them completed in Chapter 3, and then all but Gambler, Herbalist and Horseman in early Chapter 4. I spent _HOURS_ trying to get the Hungarian Halfbred, and couldn't get any of the tricks to work. After reloading a save to try it for what felt like the 300th time, a Halfbred had spawned on the north side of the river... I was simultaneously ecstatic and enraged.
