I didn't realize either because it wasn't obvious. I went in rage mode while installing this and it was barely holding on, then after few days it fell off.
Thank you a million times over for showing easy way to separate the cling window film. I had been working to no avail for over 30 minutes and I found your you tube. It is a breeze now. Thanks.
Sorry to hear this. Just for sure, please make sure that the surface of skylight has a flat & smooth glass surface, and you remove release liner before installation. If yes, please clean up the surface of skylight fully again, reinstall with water only (No Soap), and squeegee fully without any folded corner, before or after the time of direct sunlight. We hope this works for you.
When this has been up on windows a few month - does the sunlight interact with the water making green mold? is it better to use boiled water with less contaminants?
If you ask which side of film has to be installed on window, it will be the side of backing liner. After removing backing liner, install that side of film facing to the window. We hope this helps you.
To get static cling power, both film and glass surfaces have to be flat and clean. Please clean up both surfaces and install static cling film on the glass with water one more time. And please squeegee out water between film and glass thoroughly. We hope this helps you.
Sorry to hear this. Please check whether you remove liner or not before installation. If you did not remove, please remove and retry. Otherwise, please contact our customer service to cs@buydecorativefilm.com.
Sorry but, we recommend our static cling window film to be installed on the inside of window. Because it is designed to install on the inside of window.
on amazon it says to use "Soapy Water" this just says spray some water... I swear I can just never find something that pertains to my current ordeal lol
Sorry for confusion. For static cling film, both water and soapy water can be used. To easy adjust during installation, we recommend soapy water for static cling film also. Thanks for your comment.

After proper squeegeeing, water usually will be dried up within couple of days. And you do not need to use boiled water.
Thank you so much!!!

If glass surface is flat, this will work. But if not, this will not.

So is there really need to use distilled water? If yes, don't forget to put it in the video, you can still edit it through RUclips. ;-)
No, you do not need to use distilled water only.

No, it will not fall off after dry.
Can I put on the outside of the window? I don't want my kid to peel it off. Because I know he would.

I did this today and just used regular water. Did I mess it up? Looks great but now I'm worried...
Regular water with static cling film is fine. It just makes it a little harder to install. The end result will be the same.
