Very easy to follow and thorough instructions. The verbal instructions along with the visual demonstration allowed me to fully understand each step. I am much more confident in doing this now. Thank you so much for your helpful guidance!
How do you handle the part to be trimmed in the corners? It seems to me unless you make a diagonal cut inward from the corners before trimming, the window film will "bunch".
Please use a blade to cut the corner at 45 degree to make two parts, one for horizontal direction and another for vertical direction. This will help the film sit into the corner nicely on each direction and you can easily trim off the excess.
Great video, really helpful. One question please, using a metal knife to cut the film against the window, won't that scratch the window permanently? Thanks

Window film is not designed to use on the exterior of car, but to use on interior window of car. If you want to wrap your car, you need to use either wrapping film or paint protection film.
I live in Chicago and we have freezing temperatures and my issue is the film is actually curling off of the window... Do you have a remedy for this please
Freezing temperature is not the recommended condition to install. You may try to reinstall when you have warmer temperature. But we are not sure that the static ability of the film will be continued or not, because it depends on the contamination level of the static surface.
It seems I can only buy film that is smaller size than my windows/doors. Can the film be applied as though it's joined and appear seamless ? Will it look professional if I do this ?
Yes, you can. First, vertically or horizontally overlap the films about 1 inch. Secondly, cut the middle of the overlap films. Thirdly, peel away the cut loose top film and the cut loose bottom film under the top film. Lastly, spray solution and squeegee firmly to finish seam.
Sorry we never tried. But it may not be adhere to vinyl roller window shade. And even if it is adhere, vinyl roller may not work correctly, due to thickness.
There are 3 kinds of bubbles. First, water bubble will go away. Second, air bubble will not completely go away. Last, dirt bubble also will not go away. To avoid air & dirt bubble, please clean the window before installation, use enough soapy solution on both film & glass, and squeegee out the solution firmly after apply film on glass.

Hi I would like to know if this static cling film would adhere to a vinyl roller window shade?
Sorry we never tried. But it may not be adhere to vinyl roller window shade. And even if it is adhere, vinyl roller may not work correctly, due to thickness.
Does the texture side go against the window glass or smooth?
The smooth side goes against the window glass.
Smooth. The sticky side.
How do we remove and save for later use?
Once it's dried, you can just peel it off and roll it up. It comes off easily.
why cant you just use plain water?
Mixture of water and soap makes slippery solution. And we need this to install film on the glass easier and better.
anyone 's bubbles eventually disappeared by themselves?
