Man, something hitting me hard with this song and the times tonight. Coincidentally 82 is the year I was born. Idk, back then not only were the times simpler... everyone was just so much more, dare I say, genuine. There wasn't as much putting up a front, pretending to be someone you're not, clout chasing, or whatever you want to call it. People were who they were. This performance was raw and unassisted by any digital enhancement. These were the times when pure talent actually mattered. Bravo, a simply amazing performance.

I love this song. It brings tears in my eyes, for I had never had in my life or found a true love in a man. I am 75 years old, too late for true love(for a man) but I had three cats who had gave me unconditional love which I will always cherish and love, two had gone but one is still with me, got him from a shelter. But still I miss the loving arms of a man to hold me, now I'm to old for dating or to be in love with a man, but still yet that song Endless Love will always hold a special place in my heart cause in my next life I will find my endless love.

song pours out of him, and into her. it's magic.
I recently read an interview with Mr. Richie in which he said the one regret he had in his career is that he had not had additional opportunities to work with Ms. Ross, either performing or recording. At the time of their duet -- named by Billboard magazine as the most successful duet recording in history -- both were incredibly popular and in demand, with bookings extending years in advance, so it was not logistically possible. Of the recording, he said that he had felt good about the song when they went into the studio to record it, but when he heard Ms. Ross perform her portion, with the touches she added, her magical phrasing, and the way their voices blended, he knew they had something wonderful, and indeed they did. I guess you can look at from two points of view. They made the most successful duet recording in history, and it would have been difficult to top it -- or even to come close. On the other hand, the two artists are so gifted, if anyone could have done it, it was the two of them. Happily, this song will live forever!
