If I had been a woodworm in that chair, I would have said "Damn; I'm moving to some place nicer" long before you used the worm killer. Not the most beautiful piece you have restored, but your workmanship is excellent. Great video.
It still is in my opinion the chair still looks awful epoxy or new wood combined with the old is the only thing that can save this not to mention that he didn’t use a wood planer or a lathe either so it’s still going to remain sucky

Maybe if this was the chair that Ivan the Terrible or Napoleon or somebody always sat on to warm himself by the hearth, maybe then I'd think it was worth the time and effort to restore. The techniques and materials employed were quite interesting, though. I'd never heard of paraloid wood hardener. LaserPecker is a new one to me also. That might be a good nickname for this guy that I know, assuming he has not been exaggerating.
I was asked if I could save this little chair, I tried. However, the important thing is that You found something interesting, that makes me happy. With the laser I went very lightly this time😊

This chair must have extraordinary sentimental value to have put all that effort into it. How much of the original piece is left though after all the hardener, filler and glue? And where is the original bright blue paint, the nicest part of the thing to begin with?
Outstanding work. Please let me know when you do more resin-stabilized pieces. We have a product here in the states called Cactus Juice if you care to research it. It seems like it would be ideal for woodworm damage stabilization.

Very nice preservation for a piece that I thought was nearly ready for the burn pile.

I would’ve sworn this chair was only good for kindling. This is absolutely amazing.
It was almost unworkable, I tried to give it a second life.💙💚
