If you read the lyrics carefully, I see it as a case of when someone says they are fine/ok, but they are not actually fine. The “not fine” is expressed in how they dance in an energetic way quickly followed by tired way and then a member is picked up when they falter. At the end, they are emotionally exhausted from saying they are fine when they are in reality not. Its like the social response or lacking honesty when not wanting to burden others.

It is sort of a call for help from a depressed person and it was quite popular for a long time, it became something of a slogan/logo for people who suffer from depression. I read from a website about a theory was that they somehow was inspired by this and so they made this two songs. The lyrics were also from a point where they wanted someone to save them (Save Me) and then found a way to tell themselves "i'm fine" which saved themselves from depressing moments. I could be wrong, but their music definitely helped me through hard times.
