Mississippi Pot Roast is a winter staple in this house. Looks like we're going to have to get one more in this weekend before spring really takes off. Great video Kev!
@@BongDonky not at all. The peppers, and the pepper juice, depending on how you like it, balances it all out. I’m not a big ranch guy so I don’t add too much ranch.
Watching your videos IS A TREAT - thank you for your content Chef Kev, and as usual you make cooking delicious things attainable for the average person!
Yes, we make this all the time. We love it so much. And, yes, it is so damned easy. I would not believe how great the flavor is -- for what little work you put into it.
Good afternoon, Kev, and wow, those look amazing!! And I love pepperoncinis, so that was a great addition… Another great dish that I’m gonna have to try to re-create… Hope all is well with you, and as always, sending good thoughts and healing prayers, my friend…CHEERS!! ✌️
Kevmo! Hey bro, I purchased a shirt from you & the Nevada brining co. last week but I still haven’t gotten an email confirmation or any updates on it. I’ve called, left messages & emailed the brining company but haven’t received any calls or emails back. Any advice on what to do? Thanks in advance!
You just need some zippy zap on there and you're good to go 😂 If you know, you know. Definitely gots to make some gravy anyways but I'm sure it's delicious either way. Little pro tip for everybody, that ranch powder is pretty dope mixed with a little garlic powder on some fries. Used to do it in the wing restaurant we ran and it absolutely slayed
Mezzetta peperoncinis are one of the best things to grace this earth. I consistently have a jar of them in the fridge and I eat at least a couple daily.
Here in the UK we would roast the beef with carrots, garlic, celery, onions, oregano, bay leaf, basil, beef stock and red wine. After watching this I'm going to give it a try
I’m literally making this right now as I type this 3/15/24 at 12:15pm Eastern time. I followed everything you said down to the T. I hope it’s as good as you claim it is. I’ll know in 4 1/2 hours when it’s done cooking. I’ll be back to give my final verdict.😊
Hello to Kevmo and to one of the most positive RUclipsr communities I have ever found. Hope you’re doing well today. I wanted to share with you a channel I found today, Outdoors with Casey, who was born without arms yet cooks effortlessly. Watching his videos and hearing his story about wanting to spread positivity with his condition motivated me to comment his channel on as many of my favorite food RUclipsrs as I could. I hope that someone else checks out his videos and is affected as I was. Stay cool y’all!
As a native of Mississippi of over 50 years I have never heard of this and have never seen any Mississippian nor any restaurant make any pot roast like that.
Mississippi Girl here that lived in Chicago for a while. This recipe is nothing like a Chi-town Italian beef, but it is delicious and scratches that itch if you are craving a beef sandwich! It’s extra special if you can find or make some authentic Giardiniera! The kind in oil, not just vinegar and water! Thanks for sharing!!
I’m sure I’m in the minority with this one, but I just don’t love this flavor profile. I love old fashioned pot roast, but just couldn’t get with the ranch and pepperoncini+juice when I made it. Others seems to love it. 🤷🏼♀️

Never seen this one before! Looks amazing, thank you Kev!
Just had this last weekend. Delicious. I just also add a packet or two of beef gravy.
Must taste very salty?

I'm gonna try it out. Thanks for tip.@@jessegreene4553
@@BongDonky also if you’d just rather, add a beef bouillon. Whatever your preference is.
Ok, now I’m hungry!!! Going on my Cooking playlist and DEFINITELY trying very soon! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Looks delicious! Love a good pot roast.
Definitely different than how we do pot roast up here in Canada. Looks delicious. Thank you for sharing Sir
Just water works well..
I like to slide in a cornstarch slurry the last 30 minutes. Makes an awesome gravy especially to serve over rice.
Never seen this before but you better believe I will be trying it! Looks amazing Kev🤘

You ever get your shirt?
I always cut off the pepperoncini tops so the stems don’t get in the way when I’m shoveling this down my throat
Wow! Straight 🔥
Very cool recipe I had never heard of, and I see you are repping UNR. I lived in Reno for a bit! Nice video!
I also add in a packet of au jus or brown gravy packets that are like 75 cents a pack, adds a little extra goodness to it
Ma boi went crazy with the peppers
Sending love from Colorado!
This is new to me.
Never heard of this dish.
Looks good
I’ve made it a few times in the crockpot! Delicious…
I make this all the time, it's an absolute favorite of mine
♥️ the recipes Kevmo. Go UNLV 😻. God Bless You. ♥️🇺🇸
Delicious 😋 as always, hope all is well Kevmo ❤
You have a sweet job!
I had a pot roast just yesterday with a couple buddies. WE ALL GOT BAKED! 😂Just kidding Kev! I only need your videos to get the munchies!🤩
I've never heard of Mississippi pot roast, but I'm intrigued 🤔
I’m from Australia never heard of pepperochini or seen the packet ranch dressing. The result looks 👌
I gotta try this with venison shoulder. Great idea
You forgot the beef gravy packets big kevmo!
I’m adding this to my menu next week.
Man those sorority girls are lucky to have you! I always like to think of how much they all must enjoy all the meals you prepare for them
Hey Kev, Love making this, the meat is The Best 😋😋👍‼️🙂😺
One of my fav. Comfort foods. Great over mashed potatoes.
You know it, Brother
Wow!!❤❤❤
What would u serve this with??
Looks Delicious Kev. 🥰 What do you serve it with? Maybe mashed potatoes or rice?
Excellent
I also heard to add Italian dressing seasons to this recipe.

Yeah we do it that way usually
YO!! KEVMO I fell off watching you for like a year now. Glad the algorithm sent you back. Definitely subbed up brother!

Comfort
I’ve never had Mississippi pot roast. How do you serve it? In a sandwich or with mashed potatoes, gravy , and veges? Is it spicy from the peppers ?
My stomach envies yours... hope all is well Kev, Godspeed.
Thank you sir.
This is a strange recipe but I’m here for it

Yummy❤❤❤
I use banana peppers and a packet of au jus, yummy!!
What kind of steak cut are those and would I have to request it from a butcher?
Yum dude
As a native of Mississippi of over 50 years I have never heard of this and have never seen any Mississippian nor any restaurant make any pot roast like that.
Delicious, I prefer the Chuck roast and steaks.
I love boiled chicken and meat. I recently tried beef cheek. It's a lot like oxtail but more meat Slooooow and low.
What does the butter do?
Here in Mississippi we call it Italian beef. Throw it on a hoagie bun and pour the juice over it. Can’t beat it!!
Saw a lady in the background with a hair net on. Any reason you don't wear a beard net?
How has no-one else noticed the topless woman walking past at the beginning???

man is Mississippi fuckin ok
I made this once in a crockpot and it was extremely salty. Maybe I messed something up. I’ll have to try again.
I bet that thing was bananas
Super delicious kevmo and i hope you're feeling well today👍😄
Good stuff
Theo Von said it best about Mississippi.
The ranch is so necessary. Peppers too
Yay-us ❗️❗️❗️❗️
I thought he was going to pour a bottle of Mississippi Mud in there.
Love you kev, keep on cooking brother!
annnd now im hungry
👍🏼
Weird ingredients for my Yankee Kitchen 🤔...looks alright
God I love this shit
