  • This is not a sponsored video, I bought this saw to do a few projects and wanted to show how it works. I'm showing in this video cutting a opening in cinder block wall to install a new door with Evaluation electric dry cut concrete saw. There was a window where I cut this opening so above is a steel lintel across the top of the opening. Never cut an opening in a wall unless there is a support (lintel) that spans across the opening and is supported on both sides. I also show how to take the blocks out and give some info on the saw at the end of the video. This is a dry cut saw only, next time I'm going to try a vacuum and add a filter to the air inlet on the motor to prolong the life of the saw. The saw works really well but I've only used it for two projects so far. When cutting in a doorway you should make it wide enough for framing on both sides and room for shims to rough in the new door. I used a dust mask outside at first than switched to a respirator for inside because the dust was crazy. Big Thanks to my Subscribers, hope you're all doing well. I'll be posting homemade machines, electrical, DIY and other projects soon. Thanks for Watching, If you're new to the channel ‪@kurtscottage‬ Please consider subscribing and turning on notifications. Peace

Get the Bauer one from harbor freight that has a guide fence on it, screw 2x4s to the wall as a guide for nice perfect cuts that don’t need to be cleaned up.

Does that guard not move ???
The way I prefer to cut is start at the bottom cutting upward making you first pass 1.5-2 inches deep that way on your way down all you have to do is make sure the blade stays in the cut line and your done

Should have used a hose to run some water on that as you cut to keep dust down.

First thing you better hook a vacuum to the saw next you could use a tarp to make a dome around the area inside, use frog tape to hold up on the walls. There will still be a ton of dust, you'll have to have a good respirator, good luck, You're welcome.

Using a hatchet as a hammer???!!!??? Use what you have I guess, but seems like quite the project if you don't even have a 3lb sledge...Looks like it came out pretty good.
