I love RUclips. I flip houses and do all the work myself thanks to videos like this I’ve become one hell of a carpenter
Make sure it’s safe though, or get a structural engineers approval before you do something like this.. it can be really dangerous
Hey, thanks for the yadda yadda when going over the lentils.
Lentils are a good source of protein and high in fiber!
LOL!
Wall Lentils >>>>> WALLLLL
nice one though, lol
Haha, I spotted this too and wondered if broccoli might be more suitable. 😆
you did a excellent job sir, beer is on me!!!
We always put in 100% with no shortcuts. Thank you for commenting.

I'm not sure anyone noticed, but according to the text narrative he installed "lentils", incorrect spelling of "lintel"...in other words he filled the wall with beans! Hahaha. I'm sorry but that made me laugh for a good minute.
Thank you! BTW a lentil is a bean.
In this case it's a header
RUclips hall of fame video right here.
Nice video! i am wondering since circular saw was used to cut the opening, how did you repair the overcuts in the corners? If there any way to create perfect corners without overcut? I have a circular saw too...and a jackhammer with flat chisel. thanks!
They knocked the blocks out on the corners and put new ones in
Great video. Is hard set mortar a type of cement?
and what is supporting the weight of the bricks above the opening... dangerous method. YOU need props and strongboy for this
- You meant what's gonna support the wall when it is still not supported by the Lentils!
- The freaking wall is not gonna collapse, concrete is not that easy to fall apart, besides concrete walls are put in a way that blocks are not aligned perfectly parallel to each other, they're put like a ladder, so each block is aligned with the middle of one below it or above it.
PS: Yes, it depends, but in this case, it is fine, the wall is gonna be fine.
The message is too fast for many, but more than enough for the wanted receivers.
Itself support on that stretch.
Wouldnt you need an angle iron on the top if it was a weight bearing wall?
If the door opening had a joist bearing in the middle then yes. It all depends on many factors.
YOU CAN SEE THE LINTELS AT 2.45
SORRY 1.55
@@johnyates1232 that's not a lintel. It's a piece of plate. This guy is going to kill someone
@@bigpapaj2617 2 back 2 back lintels[ 4x4 angle iron] fill in with 4 in block easy peasy nobody should die
Hi I want to make a wall opening between two units of factory. the width is 2 meters and the height is 2.5 meters. the total dimension of a wall is width 6 meters and a height of 6 meters. lintel beam is required?

Nice Job !!
Awesome video!
I need to make a crawl space entrance on an already built house. Can I cut the block out without the rest of the wall shifting?
I need to see where cut will be made, most likely it's OK but I need picture inside and out of where you need to cut...
What type of mortar did you use?
Company... Your getting sued for incompetence....me...but I learned how to cut the hole from a RUclips video! I swear it looked like he knew what he was doing
Possibility of that in this scenario is 0.0% in short run and 0.000000001% in long run
What kind of cement are you using? Can it dry quick and will it be suitable for window and door installation into this opening?
It's type N mix. it is suitable for windows and door installations. It needs to set for some time though before.

What is the lentil made of? Solid concrete block?
Sometimes we do it with reinforced solid concrete block, on this job we installed metal L angles.
the metal lentils are hidden behind the blocks, because the wall should look like a freaking wall.
What size rotary hammer did you use?
CND iv bn using utupe I'm saving lot of money and tnx
No rebar? You got lucky on this one job would’ve been 10 times harder!
May I ask the name of the cutting tool you used?
a screwyou driver
quickie saw

Mexicans, there is absolutely nothing they can't /won't build, amazing
LINTEL not lentil.
Wrong!
Really...you use lentil: type of annual leguminous plant, also its edible seed.
