11:50 Remember to weave in your ends as you crochet! It is literally so easy! I find it harder to hide them in a knit project! Even as a person who started knitting at the age of 7 lol. My mom owned a needlecraft store for 80% of my life!
@@MademoiselleRuta I always crochet over them and pull them backwards at the end to really give them a good hold! If you lay it on the same color, aka up and over, then no one will see it at all!
It’s wonderful how you’ve spread your wings and gotten out into the world since your break up. Looks like you’re really broadening your horizons! Bravo to you!!!
I made a hat like this! A tip for changing colors if you’re using natural fibers: I used the magic knot method when changing colors so that I didn’t have 100000 ends to weave in!
HEY! I'm in Alaska and I even just read through the rules. Nothing states that you have to be an Alaskan specifically however your piece would have to be submitted August 4th or 5th and you wouldn't be able to pick it back up till September 5th and 9th so it would be on display for every day of the state fair. They do allow certain items to be mailed in for submission but they have to get approved first by one of the folks running the crafting competitions. If you look up 'Alaska state fair crafts 2023' it'll take you to the right page with more info. 😊
I must congratulate you. Every time the girls from Canada go somewhere and come back and claim to be tan I can never even see it LOL. I can honestly see that you are a different color so you win!
I DID IT! I made my own bucket hat. I’ve literally been trying since this video was posted. But I’ve never crocheted (I have knitted one scarf but it’s not the same and it’s a really bad scarf). But I DID IT!!! It looks nothing like your and it’s not scrap yarn but it’s a hat!!
As a teen in the early 70’s I had a crochet bucket hat made from granny squares, it was so cute and had a large brim to keep the sun out of my eyes. I don’t know what ever happened to that hat but wish I still had it. ❤
So yeah I went to camp (main organizer here and had a million things to remeber as is) and forgot my hat at home. Instead of buying a hat I ran out to buy yarn and a hook and made this. Because Jenna said it was cool. She wasn't wrong. Even got a lot of compliments. And it got the job done. ❤
Hi Jenna. So fun to make another bucket hat. About the tortilla chips. You can buy or make no oil, no salt tortillas, throw them in the oven a few minutes and break them up. Voila! Check out "well your world." They have lots of healthy versions of yummy stuff.
I always love your choice of colors! You've inspired me to be more bold with my own color choices and i can't thank you enough for that. The way you crochet these bucket hats has always reminded me of a raglan crochet sweater and I would love to see you crochet one! They're super easy and you work them from the top down so you only have to measure the neck and try it on as you go. Keep up the great work, loving the videos! 💖
I love your scrap yarn projects, even though we all know you have a huge untouched yarn stash! But this low key looks identical to your old hat!! Maybe just a bit less yellow haha! Love your style! Especially that last dress! Breathtaking!
Lol I just love your personality. I got nervous for a second I said where’s Benson did I miss something then he came to the sofa lol it’s so adorable when he gets under the blanket . Thanks for the pattern 🫶🏽❤️ bucket hats are my favorite makes right now
I like the top not being “flat” with a definite edge. I like the slight brim that doesn’t require wires or plastic inserts. Thanks! Wish you’d uploaded this a week or two ago, I made a rather…interesting beret. 😅
I have just started learning to crochet about a week ago. I loved this video so so much because it gave me inspiration to keep following through with my project. Your video’s always put a smile on my face! 🩷🩷
Wow crocheting at the beach is such a vibe! Obsessed with this hat, and you 🫶💕 thank you for the free pattern! Definitely next on my crochet to-do list 😮
Hi Jenna! I wanted to say that I love your youtube channel and your videos. I always make sure to watch your videos whenever they come out and they always brighten my day. I just started to crochet in November and I enjoy it a lot. I have been making things for my family and friends but I have found that I have been making a lot of things that people have offered to pay for but when I give it to them they do not pay me. These are for small projects and I only ask for 10$- 15$ just to cover expenses. I want to get started in selling things like blankets, plushies, hats (etc) but I am afraid that I will make the products and no one will buy them. People come up to me when I am crocheting in public and ask me if I can make them something. When I say yes and mention paying for it they shy away from wanting it. It's hard because I love making people things but it sucks when they don't want to pay for it, even when it's handmade. Do you have any advice?
Also- this is random, but- if you want to peel a hard boiled egg without losing half the white with the shell, peel it while it is submerged in water. My grandmother taught me that and it always works. Sharing this simply to share, you did good peeling your egg- this isn't a commentary on your egg peeling skills. ok- bye :)
Funny i just made a crochet bucket hat this weekend. I made mine a single color. My next crochet bucket hat should be a scrap yarn crochet bucket hat. Your hat looks awesome! Thank you for encouraging others to create. 🌹
I love your granny square bucket hate. Although you didn't necessarily do a full tutorial for it, I still love it and want to make one that is similar.
Colour control is my thing, I'd love to just let go and wing it, but I just can't...so that's why I love your video, also I weave in as I go along...oooh I'm so controlling...need to work on that. Xxx
I just moved into my first apartment, by myself, for the first time ever in my life... and it was a process! Frist I was like "I'm so lonelyyyyyyyyy!" and now I'm like "Booya! No one telling me I'm crocheting too much or I'm eating to much chocolate... yeah!" XDXD so I relate to you talking about living alone a lot. I can do and eat whatever I want... but, no one's going to clean my toilet for me so... you know. XD
Had to watch again for some relaxing jazz and throw back Jenna. Just wondering if you will make a Jenna's craft room in your new home or just all over your lovely space. 😍
Jenna, You're a little crazy. But I have to admit, if I lived alone I would act just like you. I really enjoy your videos. Keep up the good work and keep crocheting.
Because of how easy you seem to crochet, or show crochet I really want to start it as well. Had an opportunity to learn it as a kid, but never did. Would like to try out this bucket hat in the future! BTW your tan, WOW. I thought you were more pale than I was, but I never tan that way, might have something to do with me only getting the Dutch sun, but still.
Jack and Benson make me so happy. Thank you for including them in your videos. And the "Nipple Bucket Hat" is an amazing name. You should make a bikini top to match :)
Peanut butter n jenna time!! You are looking super tanned, you almost made it from pale blue to white! Great job! 😂❤😂❤ Edit: I'm from Australia so no idea about Alaskan Craft Fair soz ❤ 2nd edit: 10/10 😂
the fact that I just searched for a free crochet bucket hat pattern yesterday - yes, now I'm convinced Jenna is my crochet fairy godmother
Yes
She now qualifies as a crochet fairy godmother
Ikr
reminder to everyone that you can take the ends of the yarn along as you crochet so you don't have to weave them in later
Who agrees that whenever Jenna post's a video it's makes are day better and better💓💫🙂

I don’t think it looks as nice to take them as you go. It’s so much nice to do it after and tuck them all away perfectly.
@@MademoiselleRuta I always crochet over them and pull them backwards at the end to really give them a good hold! If you lay it on the same color, aka up and over, then no one will see it at all!
I want this confidence... everything Jenna makes *looks at her project* "10/10 am i right!?"

I have to agree with this. Being from Arizona, I have to say that this girl is still pretty fair. But I do see some color there so thank you Mr. Sun.
I wanted to make a bucket hat for weeks but didn't know where to start and than this video pops up. love it
