@@Jason-ie1ih it depends on the level of the rock tho. It'll still create a lot of sun tho.
Sun mint is a good alternative to gold bloom if you're lazy, plus if you have a few sun producers they make a lot of extra sun.
Enchant mint allows f2p's to get toadstools randomly. Not a lot, not that powerful, but still useful sometimes.
Explode mint is a great screen cleaner, plus it makes certain high level explode plants extremely powerful, should the mint not do it.
Reinforce mint is decently good, plantfooding all wall plants and knocking enemies back. If in a world without instakilling zombies reinforce mint can shut down everything.

mainly due to the fact that she has a much slower cooldown _and_ the fact that she powers other Shadow plants. due to her being the only way to constantly power Shadow plants, you'll wanna make sure she's actually protected. alongside that tho, you also don't need to spam her down most of the time. as long as you get down like 5 (6 if you're not using other Shadow plants) & make sure they're all fully powered, you'll have huge amounts of excess sun in no time

I would love to see a "Masterclass on seed slot somposition" video! I struggle to slow down the game in the beginning, and then struggle to deal enough damage at the end, likely due to plant comp, when to use stallers, or place attackers. All of those issues come down to seed comp / utilizing your seed comp right, so I think a video on it would be great. I think the topic is specific and important enough that it will catch attention on yt, and general enough to offer something for everyone watching it. Thanks!

    • @dogma32
      @dogma32 22 дня назад +2

To compile your issue and attempt to fix it:
At most two slots dedicated to sun production. We are talking one primary and one secondary. Sometimes you dont even need a secondary producer if you stall the zombies enough.
One instant stall and / or one instant damage plant. Iceberg Lettuce and Potato Mine are great in Ancient Egypt, and later you can upgrade these to Stallia and Primal Potato Mine. These plants are used in the early game to keep the zombies off your sun producers while you hoard sun. Try to keep the first zombie or two from being hurt until the next zombie walks in, as the game will immediately call in more zombies if the current wave takes too much damage.
Main attackers. You should always have at least 2 options for dealing your main damage, and both of them should be somewhat permanent placements on your lawn. You do have the option of going for one light attacker and then one heavy unit. Like say, a Red Stinger and a Winter Melon. Two light attackers can work for easier levels, but you really want to have a heavy unit ready to keep the late game in your favor.
Panic button plant. Self explanatory, something that will kill what the main attackers dont. Cherry Bomb is the best example of this.
When to do what? Spend the first two or three zombies stalling and spamming sun producers. Hoard all you can. Once you see the zombies start to come more than one at a time, start placing your main offense. Use the sun field as a meatshield while attackers cool down, or use instant stalls to help you get your offense up. By the time you have every lane covered with at least one attacker, its time to slowly replace your sun field with more damage. Remember your panic plant if you start to get overwhelmed.

I use Primal Sunflower and Gold Bloom (and Imitated) to produce a LOT of sun early-game, since my favorite plants tend to be on the expensive side (Winter-Melon, Strawburst, etc). It's a lot of fun that way.

this is genuinely a really cool video and could really be helpful for a lot of people in learning how to play pvz2 and it's mods better and faster instead of having to figure that out themselves the hard way (eclise is brutal if you're fresh from vanilla man)
I know this is a fairly complex topic and if it were to be done, it would be later on after having introduced things like walls and stalls but I would really like to see a video of this style on knockback plants. there's plenty of them like primal peashooter, chard guard, kiwibeast, levitato and even some in mods like eclise stallia. knockback, to me at least, is a really cool effect that has its uses offensively and defensively. heck, several zombies even use knockback to some degree by being able to push your plants backwards. I just think there's a lot to expand on there but hey that's just me

Tbf, these videos are targeted toward people who play PvZ2, where it’s assumed you know what these plants do.
      But for context:
Sunflower: Costs 50, produces 50. Unlocked at tutorial.
Twin Sunflower: Costs 125, produces 100. Slower recharge than other sun producers. Unlocked after Ancient Egypt - Day 24.
Sun-shroom: Costs 25. Starts by producing 25 sun, then starts to produce 50 sun after producing once. Starts to produce 75 sun after producing about 3 more times. Unlocked after Dark Ages - Night 1.
Primal Sunflower: Costs 75 sun, produces 75 sun. Unlocked after Jurassic Marsh - Day 17.
Moonflower: Costs 50 sun. Depending on how many shadow plants are by it, produces 25 sun (0 shadow plants near it) to 100 sun (3+ shadow plants). Unlocked after Modern Day - Day 1.

Twin sunflower can be your only sun producer. The dtrat is just to keep planting them around the middle and use iceberg lettuce + potato mine or chili bean while you build them up.
Currently only tested yo to frostbite cave, and it kinda falls apart for most challenge levels in wild west.
For the challenge levels, specifically the "don't spend x sun," just don't use any sun producers, they are very much possible without them. For "don't lose x plants," either use none at all or use a column of cheap ones (like normal sunflowers or sunshrooms)
I geuss I'd call this strat "all or barely any" due to its "all or nothing" style, with a side of occasional "some"
Bad strat, but it works and is VERY effective in normal levels.
In frostbite cave I just spam snapdragons and do something similar to this.

My strat for 80% of ice caverns was pea shooters in lane 1 then torchwood, then sun prod. Optionally switch out torchwood for pepper pult or other heater and move torchwood row ahead to allow for 2 easy rows of sun producers and a good defense against weasels.

I disagree. And i also believe that they do. All of them have one trait that goes with each other. They all synergize well. Primal sunflower is cheap and makes alot of sun. Primal potato mine can be used similarly to normal potato mine. Primal peashooter lets you get more sunflowers down via stun and knockback. And primal wallnut. Being cheap. Spammy. And ok against gargs. Works well against jurassic garg. The only thing thats still a problem at that point is stego and pterodactyl
