The Mantis app has a "SIRT / DFM" option you can use instead of "DRY" -- with that selected it is extremely rare for my X10 to register a Dryfire Magazine reset as a shot.

Super helpful video. I hear Hannity advertising it everyday, but wanted to the opinion of someone that I know and trust. Thank, Nick.

I absolutely like this system and I found a few more cons with this system. Rapid Fire both Live and Dryfire can be inaccurate Sometimes shots will not register. The way the system works is that in order for it to detect accuracy it has to estimate the point of aim. it does this by sensing the gun stationery for a selected period of time and then detects the movement from that point. If you are firering too rapid it will lessen the accuracy. I have used this in conjunction with Laser Academy and while I am scoring the hit with the laser I am scoring 67% accuracy with the X system. The other thing is during live fire the movement of the firearm is detected again, especially during rapid fire, and the accuracy detected doesnt reflect the accuracy on target.

You can also just glue an inch of picatinny rail on the bottom of a mag to mount the MantisX.

Stupid question; did you try to switch from 'Dry Fire' to 'Dry Fire SA'? It seemed to help me avoiding spurious firing detections.

Needing a holster with room for the attachment on the rail could be an extra expense.

Devine could be attached to the mag plate by changing it to a plate with picatinny

So, here's a question about another potential con. What if you have a standard holster that does not accommodate a weapon light? Will your pistol still fit in the holster with the Mantis X attached? Or do you have to purchase a holster that accommodates a weapon light? If the latter, then many people will not be able to practice drawing from the holster with the Mantis X unless they are also willing to invest in a new holster.

I feel like the mag mounted option would help here. You think that could work?

@@crysthianchavez2588 It could. I did not know Mantis X had a mag-mounted option.

@@MegaChadu They also sell mag baseplates with an attached rail for quite a few popular pistols if you just want to quickly swap out baseplates on a mag. You could also buy a spare baseplate and peel/stick a rail on that if you don't want to pay $25 for the premade baseplate+rail.

There are lots of settings in the Mantis app that will let you configure for dry fire mags (DFM), even the CO2 barrel options like CoolFire. If you're registering 2 shots for the pull and reset, you can fix that. Soooo that's not a 'CON'
Also, my X10 Elite came with hardware to attach to the bottom of any old mag, so I don't see why you need a special DFM with a rail if you're on a single-stack gun (or have an attachment, like a light on there) Sooooo also not a 'CON'
I know it takes a LOT of work to make a video like this, but you may want to revise and re-upload.

This is good to know. I had no idea about those settings. I'm surprised Mantis didn't inform me of this. I sent them the video before I even posted it.
