This may be a silly question: how does the system know what you're aiming at? Do you have a paper target hung or is it just essentially measuring the wrist/trigger pull relationship?
The MantisX is a sensor that attaches to the outside of your firearm and senses all the movement of your firearm and gives that data back to the MantisX app to show you what is going on and how to improve. It does not have a laser and does not use targets, it is movement-based only. It is gun specific as it attaches to a rail on the outside of the firearm, if your gun doesn't have a rail, we have adapters available. Let us know if you have any other questions!
Great video, i've been using Matis x for the past 6 mhonts now. And im really satisfied that i've bought it. Approved a lot my gun handling and accuracy. It's unbeleviable how accurate the mantis X tells you your mistakes... I've noticed on this video, that you've placed the sensor on the bottom of the pistol mag, but the on screen app is shoowing tjhat i'ts place on bottom of gun rail possitioning forward!? Maybe the reason for not so good % of shoots on video....
Glad you're enjoying it! It doesn't matter where the sensor is placed on the firearm, it will detect the data the same. Let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.
i was wondering the same becasue for the lazer cartridge version they sell it with "smart targets" i bet you could do the same for this one and have some targets to connect to the app
@@joestewart8966you can use both and it’s awesome. You’ll get to actually see your shots with the laser system, and have the X10 analyze your movements.
I don’t use a holster. So, am I correct in assuming the x10 only offers recoil analysis over the x3. If I don’t live fire is there any reason for me to not just get the x3. Thanks for the great video.
The X10 offers holster draw analysis, recoil analysis, it has drills in the app that the other two don't have. It can also be used with shotgun and archery.
@@MantisX Thanks, I should have said X2. Based on how and where I shoot, it is probably sufficient. Did you ever have any bluetooth or battery issues. Not sure what bluetooth formats it supports. Have latest iPhone. Appreciate your feedback.

most modern firearms are perfectly safe to dry fire without needing snap caps or anything else in the chamber. We recommend contacting your gun manufacturer to see what they recommend.
Using the 10X since January, has helped a lot. Love how I can take it to the range for live fire as well
I got the X3, I'm wondering if I'll end up regretting not getting the X10 for recoil analysis.
Love the honesty of the video (55,67,47...). Mantis rocks!
It honestly has really helped me out for sure. Great product and would reccomend.
Let’s see what Jerry Miculek’s chart looks like
It probably wouldn’t even pick up Jerry’s shots because he’s so damn fast. lol
The app and OS would crash.
Then... the phone would explode, lol.

Also it's not on the lower rail because of his gun light
@@MantisXI don’t get how it can give accuracy feedback if there’s technically no target?
excited to get mine in the mail! do i just dryfire at a wall while the app is open and this information will be on display?

I was skeptical about this gadget at first, but I went ahead and bought one anyway, and this training tool is legit.
thank you!
Yellow line is when you break the shot, the blue line is when you’re tracking the target !
yep
"tightening grip... anticipating recoil..." I like to know the mechanics this device uses to determine the various feed back.
it senses the movement of the gun and gives the feedback based off of that movement.
Does your firearm need to be zeroed in first ? Can this help with zeroing in your firearm?
we don't recommend using our Mantis products to zero your firearms.
How did you happen to have a rail on your mag? Does it come with this part? Otherwise, there is no way to practice the pull. Thanks for the video.
I have the same question. Thinking about using a lil Velcro. My question is how does it affect the aim?
Yes, the Mantis X10 comes with a universal adapter for the bottom of a flat magazine.
My magazine has an indentation on the bottom, how did you get it to attach to the bottom?
We may have an adapter at our website, or our Universal adapter may work.

Can you use iron sights
yes, this does not change your sights.

You can aim at anything you want. The phone gives you data from the movement of your firearm.
Not using pop caps to protect your striker ?

@MantisX My hellcat pro needs snap caps is the laser system safe
@@SKITTLES_POX Yes, the Pink Rhino laser cartridge would act like a snap cap.
Always use snap cap… on the MP 2.0. Broke my firing pin because I only “occasionally” used snap caps
I bought it and tried it but thinking of returning it. I have no idea how this is going to help me. I guess I’m not smart enough to understand.

If you close your eyes, you can hear napoleon dynamite.
200/100
So i have to mount shit to my mags to use this?
@mr.martyr8573 You can mount it to the magazine, or if your firearm already has a Picatinny rail, it can also be mounted there.
So the ATF can analyze*😂
sorry, no. :)
