I appreciate you, thanks for watching!
You're a Common Patriot so be bold, be strong, and don't ever give up!
Great Video. I'm a beginner handgun user. This solidified my purchase of Mantis dry fire training. Thanks for the side-by-side view. This will save my husband and me lots of ammo.
Great job sharing areas that it teaches you!
What a great video. I am a beginner and this helps me to practice without danger and costing so much money with live ammunition. Thank you !!
Thanks for the content.
Nice review. I am really looking at the Blackbeard for the AR. It has the ability to reset the trigger. That will help with multiple target drills.
Great video! I'm more of a bow (hunter) guy, but man I love this vids!
Love the info and the video. This is perfect for my wife and mother in law. There's only so much i can teach as prior USMC.
Starting MIL from 9 down to 22. Wife started on 380 and loves it from the start. Wife at 30 feet... 5" group with nothing other than BB gun training.
MIL wanted a 9..... now down to a 22 to learn the basics.
MIL is mid 70s. We are in mid 40s. Just additional info for the peanut gallery.
One important note, I contacted Mantis on 9-21-2022 and asked about running the 40 S&W laser in a 10mm and this is their reply:
"No. .40 S&W is shorter than 10mm, and the cartridge doesn't seat properly in 10mm guns."
That said, due to headspace issues, it wont work properly... So this begs the question, has anyone out there used the 40S&W laser in their 10mm? how did it work? what did you have to do to make it work?
Which model is in the kit? I am wanting the x10
I've kind of always wondered...Why do you make sure ANY and ALL live ammo is out of the room. It's not like you're going to just go over and pick some up and load your weapon with it. I understand maybe not having it on the same work table you're on...but take it out of the room? I train (dry fire) in the same room my safe is in....I'm not going to another room simply because all ammo should be out of the room....please explain...
The split time is for mag changes.
Great presentation video and really liked the multi-view of you shooting and the targets. Looks like a really good investment to keep up on skills between real range sessions.
Is every foot a yard with the portable system?
does it come with a B8 size target
Will it work outside?
Does the ammunition hop into the gun some how?
My question is, how far back can you go with this system. Will it reach 25 yards?
I own one of these Mantis Laser kits. Wtv you do, you will be setting up your phone in front of the target itself. it should work from any distance as long as the laser shows on the target good enough for your phone app to read it. (In Theory) My regular practicing distance with this thing is probably around 15 yards.. never gone further.
Have you tried the dryfire mag with the system to see if it resets the trigger?
So with this and the dryfire mag you can pull the trigger however many times you want setting the laser off each time without racking the slide?
it doesnt rest trigger, just prevents slide locking open with a magazine inserted so you can train with a magazine in the gun to simulate the gun with a magazine in like you would normally carry
i'm confused... does your phone check for point of impact via the camera?
I believe yes.
So I guess my question would be that you have a Double Action Pistol. Like I can pull the trigger and it resets the trigger. Can I, in theory, not rack the slide and continue to fire the laser?
Yes you can.
funny how all these reviews have folks standing at like 5 feet away. almost prevented me from getting this kit. however, bought it, and its flawless at 5-10 yds. and likely farther…
Well the target is not full size. It’s simulating being further away.
Why would I spend the extra money buying the Mantis kit? I could just by the laser. The app and and smart targets are free! You could save over a hundred dollars!
the subscription to the app is only free with the kit and the targets that actually correlate with the app come with the kit or if you buy them separate they cost money still
Laser system useless or the most fired round, 22
this system is made to practice dry fire training to save money on ammunition and range costs, with .22 that's not really a factor seeing as how .22 is still affordable
Waste of money IMO. Just get a laser cartridge for 20 bucks
It’s extremely stupid and odd to use. I would just suggest getting a co2 power BB gun with blow back at practice that way. This thing is trash!! Don’t waste your money 💯
Looks really dumb. For one thing target should be 11X17 minimum. I've grown accustomed to hanging metal plates in the woods and using 9mm. My draw is pretty darn fast. Without the bang and kick it just seems a little lame.
Low quality, looks like something kids put together in 3rd grade. Comes out of the box broken, battery's are impossible to find local, no customer support or service. Spend a little more more for better products out there
Like what?
