From the Furnace Soundtrack (2019) - 7. Ride from Hell

From the Furnace is a 2019 independent feature film produced by Footsteps Productions, to which I contributed as director of photography, editor, and co-composer.
Ryan McCrumb wrote a majority of the film's score (available at: footstepsprodu..., but I gradually contributed a number of additional tracks as they were needed, totaling more than 15 minutes, which comprise this EP.
The score is a mix of orchestral and electronic material, depicting psychological torment and a looming, unhinged threat, along with occasional shades of hope. My earliest work for this soundtrack was completed in early 2016 with the first of two trailers I scored (included here as "Inferno" and "City of Chaos," earlier mixes of which are available elsewhere on my channel). Various motifs established then were maintained as I wrote additional music for the film, including the opening title sequence. The main theme ("From the Furnace") conveys perseverance through unthinkable struggles, and other themes represent the anarchic threat of the main villain ("A Game of Anarchy") and the reckless criminal enterprise of Joey Cohen ("The Capitalist").
This score is my most complete (and certainly most labor-intensive) work to date, and I'm very happy to finally share it!
