I equally praise your professional knowldge, didactic presentation and generous sharing of this outstanding material. You are as amazing as your value system; a true role model for most humans. Great job and thank you!
Very good information and Great looking photos during sunrise. It looks like we need to do a majority of our photo sessions late in the evening to keep away from the crowds and get the best lighting. I guess we will nap and take advantage of the hot springs during the middle of the day.
If you're in Iceland in the month around midsummer I'd suggest shooting from 10-11pm until 3-4am. Sleep to midday and then explore/travel/scout/enjoy life before shooting again ;)
wow another awesome episode... i love the drone shots and the way you capture the magical sights of light and steam... without people it looks so natural! as always, great work and thank you :)
I like the vlogging style. I will be visiting this location in a few weeks, can't wait. Perhaps you could explain how you choose the exact camera settings when at the location :)
Hi Flo. Cool you like that part. I have an upcoming episode where there'll be more of that. I can never explain exact camera setting since there is none. It's a creative choice. The most I can do is show my settings, which I do during the pictures ;)
One of the best drone footage from your series. Fjaðrárgljúfur is also quite stunning when it comes to an aerial perspective. Sadly, I neither do I have a drone nor have the budget to buy one (ATM). Do you know if there are gear rentals in Denmark or around? I'm planning a visit in Mar-Apr this year and your videos are just inspiring to say the least. Love the narration, the way the videos carry you around and the photographs above all. Nice work. Already subbed and liked your videos.
So impressed by your work Mads. I am going to Iceland very soon and all the tips and angles you have highlighted in your videos are very inspiring :) Would you say most tourist attractions are best photographed in the night (given the midnight sun) and if so, what time would you recommend going to, say, Geysir?
Thanks a bunch :) Around midsummer it's at night, but the darkness returns fast, so late summer it'll be all dark during night again. Aim for the golden hour for the most part unless you want to do nightphotography :)
Your work is fantastic! I enjoy watching ! I do have one question: I see you have a lot of drone work in your videos, I am a drone owner, and I'm wondering what rules and regulations are in Iceland for drone photography?

another cool video Mads! I wonder in which month you shot it...
Hi thanks, it was in June :)
Thx for the reply!! Then I'll better take a beanie with me on my trip scheduled in June, it looked rather chill :)
Yeah definately, it can be rather cold, but it's probably not freezing at all. Also remember some nightgoggles - it's light all the time ;)

great video. was the last photo taken from a drone?
Thank you, yes it was - even though it just erupted, you can't but think the worst :P
which drone did you use?
DJI Phantom III standard
At what time did you go?
It was around 9th of June I think :)
Please be aware that the use of drones at the Geysir area is strictly forbidden now.
