Another wonderful video Mads. Really appreciate to the GETTING THERE info at the start (as usual). So much better than helplessly wandering around without a clue, when you've done all the ground work for us. :)
You’re doing everything right Mads! The pictures, The drone footage, your explanations, yeah, everything! Thank you for all the effort you put in to your work for us to enjoy!
I keep on going back to this series watching it time and time again, most often when I feel a bit bummed out in life in general. Every time I re-watch it, it fills me with some sort of calmness and I always end up feeling a lot better after watching your work. Mads, you are a great artist and you have created something special in this Iceland-series. I really like all your series, but this one is in my opinion one notch above everything else. Thank you for making this, and keep up your great work!
What a absolutely valuable video this is, especially towards the end with explanation on 'zooming in', loved it Mads, as ever, I watch in great awe of your ability to bring such wonderful landscapes to us all, Thank you !
Peter, I am SO glad you and Nigel are friends! Do you guys ever socialize with one another? I have followed his videos for some time. I discovered your tutorials and videos only yesterday 9-20-2019. both of you are gifted photographers and I enjoy learning from you and viewing your amazing photos. Yes, I have subscribed.
Thank you so much again to share your expertise, in this beautifull location, that I cant wait visiting and photographing by myself in less than 2 months from now...
Great vlog and Beautiful and spectacular Shots with that pink to rose colored light on the glacier and the mountains. The northern lights just adds extra beauty to the whole scene. Looks like you and Nigel are a great deal of fun in Iceland getting these epic and amazing landscape shots.
Just amazing. Having that drone really does come in handy for getting angles you could never get otherwise, like the sunset shot looking back at yourself. And this video has me even more looking forward to my first ever Iceland photo excursion this October. We will see what I can come up with over 10 days and with a little simpler equipment. Thanks as always.
Tnx of putting your drone through these risks for our entertainment :-) Tnx for sharing the beauty of this landscape (inaccessible to so many of us) through your videos and photos. I've been following for sometime now.
Mads, what a truly spectacular episode. The drone photography, the timelapse with the Northern Lights and the final images all combined to again push the boundaries in terms of quality and entertainment of online content. Just had to watch this a second time before I commented as this blew me away
Great Job. The Northern lights are high on my bucket list, but I hate cold weather. I live in the southern US where it was 91 degrees Fahrenheit today.
Ohh. Flashback. It was one of the nicest evenings in Iceland I had 2 months ago at Svinafellsjökul. Amazing scenery. No tourists when I visited. I was permitted to fly inside the NFZ and got some amazing footage. These glaciers truely are amazing. Again, Mads, a great video from you. Looking forward to editing my version soon of this glacier. BR Ulrik
Great video Mads. My Danish nephew is just getting inspired to do photography so I’ve forwarded this video to him and hopefully gained another sub for you! Thank you! Tusind Tak!
Svinyfe...Sninafjelly....the glacier looks like its a really tough location to shoot and pronounce lol but amazing for drone photography and those northern lights were just spectacular. As always Mads a wonderful mix of beautiful images and down to earth clear information
Nice work with both your camera and drone pics. The video from the drone is also amazing. Are you flying the Mavic 2 Pro? Just curious. Take care, and thanks again for the wonderful video on this magical place. I am so stoked to go next July!
Awesome as usual. All the more special for me as I’ve driven passed this glacier 2 times in the past few days. I hiked up to a glacier near Höfn but I can’t find the name now...grrr. No good light at Eystrahorn due to bad weather. Next time....
Great work and planning on watching all of the videos before my trip around equinox. It’s really generous of you to share all the details and settings. One quick questions .. what’s the location ( how to to get there) where you zoomed in on Nigel? Thanks
Stunning images of the Northern lights! I've never seen them in person. Do they move and flow as you show, or are they more static, with the movement accentuated by time lapse? Lovely images, thanks. Good teaching points on the use of telephotos.
the inside of your jacket for keeping camera/remote/drone batteries warm? How do you deal with cold as a photographer in freezing situations, fogging etc pls? 2nd question - do you have an app to predict the northern lights probability
Thanks for a great addition to your Iceland series. Was the footage all taken recently? I have a second trip to Iceland planned for 2019, but currently undecided whether to go in summer or again in early October. Any thoughts to sway me one way or the other appreciated.
Great video!! Thank you! Two things to keep in mind - there is a warning to go there right now on safetravel.is because of the unstable mountains/land. As part of the Vatnajökull National Park sadly flying a drone is forbidden there.
Thanks for the notice on safetravel.is. In regard to the drone flying it's forbidden yes... unless you have enough money to pay them off (Hollywood does) or you get a permit. There is no birdlife what so ever above or in the glaciers and walking away from the tourists and not flying above them (as you should) does not put them in danger, making all the reasons for the prohibition completely irrelevant. Local photographers fly there often. Hopefully, some proper drone rules will start appearing soon.
Mads Peter Iversen wasn’t meant to offend you or anyone. Would love to fly there, too. Same with Jökulsarlon. Nationalparks are forbidden, there are rules. Don’t like it, too, but understand it at some spots. Rangers get stricter to check and fine nowadays, too... Also visiting several times a year, sad that it changes that fast...but seems necessary though
Daniel Günther I wasn't offended at all. No probs :) The illiberal drone "laws" offend me though. I understand why anyone don't want drones above or too close to other people. But without good reasons for closing off such a huge area (which is literally the middle of nowhere) is just marvelously bad politics. It's illiberal rules made fast to try to control something which is only a minor problem in very specific areas. Also, if you can buy yourself to use this technology in disregard for the reasons to not use it. I don't see a reason to respect the "rules". Especially, when you're not hurting anyone or anything - nobody should care :)
Mads Peter Iversen that’s the way it should be, definitely. Always taking care, too. Flew at many spots where I got to see a forbidden sign next time. It’s the people who disturb others, behave badly etc and the amount of tourists that seems to cause it, together with not knowing how to handle all the visitors I think. Then doing it perhaps the wrong way. Difficult. So much footage left here, made it to only one video yet :D. Would be great to fly at Hornstrandir National Park which I cross west to east in August, but sticking to the rules...
It's also one of my favorite spots. I was there with the family last year and therefore bound also with what they want... Nice to see it with the light you get when you're patient. I placed my video about this glacier at ruclips.net/video/PQYdFPNdOh0/видео.html
When you talk about compression (with emphatic repetition) you sound like a magician insisting "nothing up my sleeve" before you perform the trick, hey presto it looks compressed (but it's not) LOL
Pictures are awesome as usual, but.......I have to admit between you and Nigel and others on RUclips who do the same kind of stuff, I am a bit oversaturated with Iceland.

Another wonderful video Mads. Really appreciate to the GETTING THERE info at the start (as usual). So much better than helplessly wandering around without a clue, when you've done all the ground work for us.
:)
The square cropped glacier detail shot is stunning.
It's always a big pleasure watching your videos and pictures!!!
That's just STUNNING! Thank you!
You’re doing everything right Mads! The pictures, The drone footage, your explanations, yeah, everything! Thank you for all the effort you put in to your work for us to enjoy!
Its all been said already Mads - simply stunning - and epic photography
WOW!!! Stunning, simply stunning!
Thanks for sharing another incredible video of Iceland and for your valuable tips and suggestions.

I was overwhelmed by the last several minutes. Magnificent. Great to see you and Nigel enjoying the adventure.
Positively beautiful!
Simply stunning images and video! Got the message too- don't walk out on the glacier!
Thank you for posting such high quality work Mads.
Beautiful photos.
Beautiful work Mads. Everybody already used every word in the book how great this video is.
I'll say it in my native Dutch "PRACHTIG"

So happy you got that pano of the gorgeous pink light and leading lines of the glacier! 😍
Glaciers and northern lights certainly makes for a spectacular combinationt. Great episode again Mads.

Thank you as always, Adam! Much appreciated :)
One word.....WOW! Brilliant drone footage and images!!
Really amazing footage. We are so lucky to have the technology needed to get images and photos in places that are so in-accessible.
Brilliant mads. Loved every second of that. Stunning images oh and thanks for the warning on venturing out on to the glaciers
Yesterday we got a new 55 inches oled TV. It is now absolutely stunning watching your videos. Highly recommended with shivers inclusive!
I want to see that too! :D

Thank you so much again to share your expertise, in this beautifull location, that I cant wait visiting and photographing by myself in less than 2 months from now...
"I hope I made myself clear" Indeed, you did!
6:48 OK, that was a quite graphic warning regarding not walking on the glacier...noted :)
George Reiss Better safe than sorry ;)
Magnificent!
Stellar work Mads. Pun intended. Northern Lights video is just other-worldly. Thanks for sharing it. Cheers!
Spectacular photography, as always, and yes, you made yourself perfectly clear.
another good one Mads, that glacier looked epic.
Fantastic Shots and Images!
Great vlog and Beautiful and spectacular Shots with that pink to rose colored light on the glacier and the mountains. The northern lights just adds extra beauty to the whole scene. Looks like you and Nigel are a great deal of fun in Iceland getting these epic and amazing landscape shots.
We had a lot of fun! A really great guy and travel companion :)

Thank you so much! I always love your praising comments but this was special :)
now that!!! was a serious warning 😳 Seriously good photography !!!
Great Job. The Northern lights are high on my bucket list, but I hate cold weather.
I live in the southern US where it was 91 degrees Fahrenheit today.
What an amazing place. Some great footage and images.
Great shots Mads, brilliant info as usual.

World class Mads!
Great video, thank you
WOW WOW WOW
Superb ! 📸
Fantastic Mads. Having visited there myself I totally agree with you. It’s an awesome sight but not easy to photograph. I used mainly my 70-200 too 😊
Awesome images and footage!
Great video Mads. My Danish nephew is just getting inspired to do photography so I’ve forwarded this video to him and hopefully gained another sub for you! Thank you! Tusind Tak!
Hehe thanks a lot, John! :)
Awesome video mads
Outstanding video Mads, I really appreciate your though processes as you explain them during you video, spectacular images, thank you!
Awesome
Svinyfe...Sninafjelly....the glacier looks like its a really tough location to shoot and pronounce lol but amazing for drone photography and those northern lights were just spectacular. As always Mads a wonderful mix of beautiful images and down to earth clear information

Your video cheered me up so thanks :)
I'm happy to hear that! :)
Awesome as usual. All the more special for me as I’ve driven passed this glacier 2 times in the past few days. I hiked up to a glacier near Höfn but I can’t find the name now...grrr. No good light at Eystrahorn due to bad weather. Next time....
Having coffee and traveling the WORLD with Mads Peter Iversen! Thank You!
Hehe you're welcome aboard, Brian ;)
Great work and planning on watching all of the videos before my trip around equinox. It’s really generous of you to share all the details and settings. One quick questions .. what’s the location ( how to to get there) where you zoomed in on Nigel? Thanks
That was like a movie intro incredible. If a big budget movie tried to capture this they'd has a huge risk with the weather not cooperating!
Marvellous as always. :)
Nice video mads!
Stunning images of the Northern lights! I've never seen them in person. Do they move and flow as you show, or are they more static, with the movement accentuated by time lapse? Lovely images, thanks. Good teaching points on the use of telephotos.
Check out my video on the auroras and you'll have all the answers :)
Outstanding !
Knall som vanlig! Skal Island i Mars og og man finner ikke bedre forberedelse enn dette. Veldig bra serie! Nesten ferdig med alle fra island nå. 👌
really amazed :)
So beautiful mate :D and do you use polar pro filters for mavic ???
I do sometimes. Most often not when I fly around sunset/sunrise.
Hi Mads, I love your videos!!! What time of year was this video taken ?
Hi Cindy, it has footage from February and March :)
Mads Peter Iversen Awesome!!
6:57, Well that took a very dark turn
Quick question, is there any restriction in flying the drone in Iceland?
what month of the year were you there? Was this your second trip? Thanks.
February and March, this was my 4th trip :)
you are the best. I've told you before!
Thank you so much, Gheorghe :)
the inside of your jacket for keeping camera/remote/drone batteries warm? How do you deal with cold as a photographer in freezing situations, fogging etc pls? 2nd question - do you have an app to predict the northern lights probability
Check out my video on the auroras for the 2nd question. I normally just warm up the batteries between my legs if it's very cold.
No words. Just enjoyed every minute. You're living the dream and I appreciate being able to enjoy some of the journey with you!
Thanks for a great addition to your Iceland series. Was the footage all taken recently? I have a second trip to Iceland planned for 2019, but currently undecided whether to go in summer or again in early October. Any thoughts to sway me one way or the other appreciated.
I shot it during Feb and March of 2018 :)
Great video!! Thank you!

Would be great to fly at Hornstrandir National Park which I cross west to east in August, but sticking to the rules...
Who did the music for this episode?
Take it from me, someone who does NOT speak Icelandic, your Icelandic pronunciation and accent were perfect..!! LOL!
HAHA! :D
Justified use of the word stunning. :-)
