Just a word of advice: when changing the MQ-24 battery, do not use the case edge for leverage with a scredriver or similar tool, while prying on those two steel legs. You will most likely chip or damage the case edge, especially if the plastic is old and fatigued. In my experience, it's better to use something sharp and plane, like a knife edge, and slip it in the seam between the case and the caseback (but carefully so the gasket won't be damaged), and then pull. This will use more surface for leverage and there is a lower chance that the plastic will be damaged.
Wow!…that’s crazy how one-for-one of a copy these are to the Citizens! I remember when this model was out (minus the Rebel Alliance motif) by Citizen originally back in the day. If I had the dough…I’d get the C3PO version. That faux sensor grill at the bottom replicates his mouth and the top dials his eyes. Great review! And oh how precious little Bubble is!

Great unboxing mate! Obviously you can never go wrong with a casio, this one looks elegant, simple and is an absolute bargain! The Humpbuck looks so cool, it doesn't look like the build quality is great but for the money it's well worth getting. Definitely a Star wars vibe and I'm loving Imperial Pilot! You just reminded me that I got the same watch that Casio somewhere......nice little thing, very clean design, but a lume or light at that watch is nowhere to be seen.....otherwise it wouldn't be 20 bucks....with a light it would be called Timex Expedition maybe and it would be 40 bucks. that second one is a little (half analog) hommage to Casio AE20 twingraph, but a main difference is that AE20 works perfectly after so many years (because it's made in Japan) and there's no fakery anywhere at the watch. good video

As you mentioned, this Humpbuck watch is a "replica" of a Citizen reissue of a watch from the 80s/90s alluding to the StarWars universe. Skmei (2198) also has a variation of the original Citizen watch.
I have an original Citizen, a humpback and now I’m going to buy the skmei. Thanks the info. My dad gave me a brand new citizen Ana digi in 1986 (still works), so these watches bring good memories to me.

First thing that came to mind when I saw the thumbnail was that retro Citizen whose first copy I wanted to buy a few months ago. I’ve done a few double wrist days with the following watches. I’ve two of each of these watches in different color ways. AE1200 AE1300 WS300 AW500 A171 MTP-V005
Wearing a watch on both wrists was coined "Schwartzkopf" by @theurbangentry ,in honour of the general with this name. Who wore two simple mechanical watches in order to keep a second timezone, perhaps also for redundancy in the harsh military environment. 6:45 Not a good fit, the left symbol and right x-wing fighter are from the rebels. So rebel fighter, perhaps x-wing operator would fit better. This looks like an interesting piece, if not something I would wear myself. Do note that the temperature gets influenced greatly by your wrist when wearing it and that it takes a long time for it to cool down to room temperature again. As posted in your Discord, I'm in on the challenge. I could use a stand and delay to shoot both wrists simultaneously, but am just uploading separate images.

What I know about the Pope's watch: He has been snapped wearing a gifted Swatch GB743-S26. It has unique hands with a day/date complication. This watch was later auctioned off for charity. (Great looking, but, sadly, more than 3 times the price of the MQ24😢) I've never seen any documented proof that he's ever owned or worn an MQ24, but it's not impossible, and certainly a nice story for a Casio nut like myself😁

For the Casio the orange dial one looks really summery. The Star Wars x Citizen imitation is disappointing. Wish you got the real thing. I’d call it “The Cloned Imperial Chronograph.”
