@@CarolinaCustomClassics When FedEx stopped hiring their own people and started contracting the deliveries out things got worse. Of my last three packages FedMess dropped two at a neighbor's house. The last one never arrived and I had a real problem getting a refund as FedMess kept saying their delivery man left it at the address I gave them. Since they misdelivered the last three his words meant little to reality. Finally the company hosting the seller back tracked and made it right. I now tell any person I order from to not ship it FedMess.
Reminds me when i had a 56 bel air wagon..i had to fix everything..it had a factory heater and variable speed wipers..i traded a model 1894 winchester 30-30 rifle for it..replaced the floor from the firewall to the spare tire boot..one head light worked one taillight and one wiper (passenger side)..lol.someone converted it from generator to alternator..it wouldn't charge the battery they had the wires mixed up..had to replace the alt.voltage reg.and fix a lot of wires..new ball joints upper and lower control arm bushings everything in front end and put power steering on it too..the interior and headliner was new when i got it..the motor wasn't running..it had a 61 283 in it i was going to put a 350 in it but got the 283 running..it had a 3 speed on the floor..i was going to put a 4 speed in it but someone made me a offer i couldn't turn down. kinda wish i had kept it..sold it in 79..you are doing a great job .. stay on it and it will turn out well..see you no the next one Cheers 🍺🍺🍺🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
New tank, pump, filter, and reworked Carb.... You should have no problems on that for quite a while....Nice idea to add new hoses for the tank as well... Looking good, Cody....
Yes, I enjoyed this video... You ran into a problem or two and you worked right through them!!! Way to go!!!! I can hardly wait to see the next video!! I hope things are well for you and yours!!
Hi Cody , that '57 sure is moving in the right direction . Your for sure going to have fuel , and spark ... should run like a top . So refreshing to see an inline 6 . Looking forward to the next video .
That’s going to be a fun car to drive around, I grew up when you could buy 57s that weren’t to bad for a couple hundred dollars. I would definitely drive yours!
I bought a HEI dist on e-bay for my 235 1957 Belair for under 100.00 and made all the difference on how engine ran. It burnt all the fuel with higher spark. It smokes less during idle and started easier. Best money you can spend on a old stovebolt like we have around here with all by buddies converting to HEI on all of the old girls Check it out.
Thank you so much for the kind words and for watching! I been thinking of buying a 69 Chevelle 4 dr 307 car I found near me, really solid as well to get it running and driving then resale it maybe?
Carolina my man! Nice work on the fuel pump sir. I see you got a chrome air breather for the chrome valve cover. Looks great buddy. Catch you on the flip side. Big Al.
Excellent video Carolina Customs (Cody) :) also best to fuel filter to from tank to fuel pump inlet plus put rubber under fuel line near stater front to back too so won't leak or spray fuel in future on starter from fire! Garden hose or nice black will help was one thing Ford and GM plus Fargo also 1955 Mercury trucks plus Studebaker had happen to fuel tank in cab also inlet ones from 1940 to 1976 years on 6 and 8 cylinder motor why burn to ground or from leaking on inlet under seat to drive axle Hump plus hot exhaust to starter was no recalls ever but happen to lots those trucks ever! But lots mechanics told motor companies but nothing happened on Recalls also lost my cousin Jerry from his 1975 Ford F250 extended cab fuel line happen to on investigation MTO in Ontario Canada found what happened after truck fire put on November 11 1993 and found that happen! Also Army Friend Steve of mine he found leak on his 1955 Chevrolet pickup 1/2 ton he did new line plus rubber hose plus from floor to Y pipe to Starter , fuel filter to pump also to Carb ! Glad caught in time or 1955 could be bad loses truck to fire or life and smell give hint to check up fuel lines plus more! Hope don't mind do to Cody my Brother buddy and save from happening too!
