Very clever. I’m glad you said because I have one that I never knew quite what to do with it. I’m going to rescue it now for just that purpose. Thanks from Australia.
I love your videos and your openess to share your family. I am sick with liver issues, so I spend alot of time in bed. I rewatch your videos alot. I have just started going to my goodwill on senior day. Not near as nice as your store. Keep up the good work!
@@anneyday3493 yes and the Balto story was a true story. I think the Iditarod race started out as a tribute or re enactment to that heroic journey to save the children from a dyptheria outbreak.
Thank you for sharing even the small pick up, because when I go to goodwill I would say I leave most of the time with nothing. When you kids was younger we all way had something, I miss those day.
That is called a kitchen witch my family is Hungarian and Czechoslovakian and all of us women have one hanging in our kitchen it is good luck to the Cook

When I was doing ceramics in the 70’s, I used to paint the eyes and faces on other people’s figurines for them. Clearly the person who had Mrs. Clause didn’t go to the same place I did 🤣
I would have saved the fused glass cat. I had a cat with a bobtail. As you continued along I saw something that looked familiar at 3:15. Then I realized I have or had that tin with the teddy bear on it. I wonder if that's it or if I have it in a box somewhere.
Good morning! The kitchen witch 🧹 is Halloween decor, motion activated and should have a hanger, (ours hangs from a ceiling hook) when you walk past, she cackles and vibrates!
I would have grabbed Miss Scarlett in a heartbeat. Bought every Gone With The Wind DVD I could find. It’s a classic. Kind of like Cat in the Hat. Ridiculous to ban such great books. I think the Franciscan Rose bowl would have sold without a lid. Easy to repurpose. Some collectors are happy no matter!
I was like OMG, it's not like a character from Gone with the Wind...It is a character from Gone with the Wind...Miss Scarlet. My Aunt loves that movie, I hate it. LOL She had the plates, books, dvd, ornaments and all kinds of collectibles...I think she sold it all off though and just kept the dvd and books. I felt the same about the "sugar bowl?" as I thought hey it could be like a cute little planter or trinket dish for a collector.
I’ve noticed you have a lot of items on your ebay store that have not sold for many months. They are the higher priced items. Do you ever have a sale or discount them at some point?
Are you thinking of the book “ Call of the wild”? I’m not a fan of red. It feels like an angry color to me, so I wouldn’t find anything in the red aisle either. Lol
I suspect that it's not Call of the Wild she's remembering, but Dogsong by Gary Paulsen (or another of his books). This would be more her era ( she's close in age to my daughter, and that's what she read in middle school!), or yes, Balto would be a good option too!!!
I saw one of my sold comps while you were checking! The Christmas polymer angel (with the brick background) was the one. I let it go for $20 because I wanted to make my daily goal. Not too bad for a $3 find.
So true. My cat doesn't have a tail. The vet had to take it of last summer after a dog got a hold of him😿 He is fine and he has the cutest little nobbin😊
@@rikkemeek1506 I'm sorry to hear your kitty lost his some of his tail but I'm so happy hear he okay now and turned out to be a beautiful little kitty cat with nub 🥰
I see a lot of people calling these kitchen witches, but they are not. A true kitchen witch of Scandinavian origin wears a scarf, not a witch hat, and an apron.
Hey Jocelyn!! I know it sounds silly but the next time you're there and if you run into the sad pizza slice can you please grab it?? It's too stinking cute to be left on the shelf.😍 Thanks!!
I decorated my daughters room in primary colors with a hot air balloon theme in the late 80s. She was about 6 when I did it. Thanks for the flash back!!!
I'm so jealous. The goodwills near me in Virginia are all bare in the hard goods sections. I'm lucky if I find 1 or 2 things in good condition to pick up.
Was the book about the alaskan dog "The call of the wild" by Jack London by any chance? It was in my hands while I had your video playing and I thought to myself that can't be... :D
The copper tray you picked up was from Coppercraft Guild back in the late 1980's. It sold for around $50.00 new .
Oh! The Lid that was missing. I haven’t heard you say that a lot here lately but on this day I wore your “Missing Lid conspiracy” shirt to work. 💜
I use napkins rings as tie backs for my curtains! Also the sugar bowls with no lids for my sweet and low packets 🥰
Good ways to reuse items of value! 🙂
Very clever. I’m glad you said because I have one that I never knew quite what to do with it. I’m going to rescue it now for just that purpose. Thanks from Australia.
Thank you for allowing us to tag along, Jocelyn! Always a good time, even if you only find a few things! 💟
That yarn doll. Wow. Had one as a kid that was blue. I used it to hold hair accessories. Mine was made by my great-grandmother.

The Syroco wall hangings reminded me of my childhood! My mother had quite a bit of it decorating our walls! So MCM!
Could the book have been “The Call of the Wild”? It’s about some sleigh dogs that help deliver medicine. The movie is really good too 😊
That's what I guessed too ! I bet Ashton would enjoy it.
Balto was the dog who delivered medicine. Call of the Wild was a different book by Jack London.

Yep! I read it too!
Or maybe, White Fang? IDK 🙂
Jack London, either way:-)
Yes. Call of the Wild
The someone from Gone With The Wind was Scarlett O'Hara. Definitely.
The book you read was probably “The Call of the Wild” by Jack London

I think the book you are thinking of is call of the wild and the sled dog's name was Buck. My homeschooled my son and we read this book together.
Such a good book. That one and Where the Red Fern Grows.
Are you sure it wasn't Balto? The wolfdog in Alaska. It was the sled he led to bring back the medicine to the townspeople.
Thank you! I couldn't think of it either. It was driving me crazy!

Oh I have one of those blue mountain pottery ashtrays with cats on it! I’ve never seen the deer ones!
Love the Vanity bottle,Wolf pictures, hanging doll, hot air balloon plate. You should of got the sad pizza!🍕 Ew! That’s one creepy Witch!
The book you were trying to think of is "Call of the Wild" by Jack London. I also read it in school.
The picture of the Wolfes Jack London Fang and Call of the Wild.
Great Walk-through. Please Stay Safe. Happy And Healthy. Have A Wonderful Day
The cat with the short tail could be thought of having a short bob tail.
Yes, Call of the Wild by Jack London! Classic...
Balto....the best Alaskan dog story ever....
The tall purple crayon is a bank! I had the same one in the 90’s 💖
I thought it might be a bank. I remember them.
Wondering just where in the world you find Goodwills with all that stuff...none of them around here have much glassware at ALL...some have None.
Another great video - thank you! Anyone else shouting "look at the Kitchen Aid" into the phone 😂
Yes !!!
Jocelyn, Lol… I think you need that sad curly pizza 🍕 in your life! You are so much fun to watch!
I also want to paint eyes on Mrs Claus.
The speckled glazed pottery thingy is a wisk holder for making matcha tea. Nice!

Call of the Wild maybe. It was required reading in 7th grade at WHS

At about 14 minute. It’s terra firma pottery from NY.
The big purple crayon was probably a bank. My kids had one 30 years ago!
The book about the Alaskan dog was probably Balto. My daughter was obsessed with the movie!
The mudman you skipped over is from approximately 1980. I used to collect and quality can be exceptional. Should have had fishing pole in hand.
Since the fishing poles are frequently missing, is it kosher to replace it?
@@kathysmith2541 just saw your post and yes I have replaced.
The crayon is a bank! My sister had one when we grew up in the 90s.
Also there is a book by Jack London called White Fang. It's about an Alaskan dog.
The yarn doll is from Mexico. I believe it is representative of a sun god from their Indian culture
I like how you're using your pregnant belly to help you look at the bagged items! Too funny!!
You could've picked up that pottery bowl that was in the blue cart. It would've been great for your back yard bird bath.

Call of the wild. Classic read.
