Unless there is something I am unaware of that allows a 1 stroke penalty in this situation. Unfortunately, the score of 77 is reported wrong...

Sure! In speedgolf, your score is strokes + minutes. Scott shot 77 in 43:18, so his speedgolf score was 120:18. If every shot is a minute, it means you need to be extra careful to sink your short putts!

Me too! We generally play speedgolf at about 6,000 yards (plenty tough for all but the best golfers) and you can still challenge a golfer quite a bit even at that distance. Stay tuned for Kentucky Speedgolf Open - much more challenging course.
In speedgolf, you play a lost ball just like a lateral hazard. One stroke penalty + drop. You can look up our 'rules of speedgolf' video to see the diagram of legal drop locations. This was a legal drop.
i want to know if jumbo grips will work with the silo club carrier! if the grips are bunched up would they push the shafts out of their holder? and where do i get the spike to stick it into the ground? this was alot of fun to watch ur a monster lol. congratulations on the ace!
Great questions! I want to know about jumbo grips too. I think if they are too big, the clubs will squeeze each other out. That's why I haven't done it yet. The spike is custom made, but Scott is working with Rival & Revel to get a mass-produced version. Stay tuned!
This may be common knowledge but open question. What do you do if someone catches up to a player a ahead of them? I'm trying to plan a tourney and can't find this specific information online.
Good question, Rob! Passing is rare in speedgolf tournaments, but it happens. If you want to pass a golfer, you shout 'FORE'. The other golfer is then supposed to move aside so you can hit. You (typically) finish the hole together, then you tee off and the other person waits on the tee until you are out of range.
You're not wrong. Pretty straightforward course. 6,000 yards, rating 68.0. The small greens will punish you, though, if you're not hitting approach shots well.

In tournaments, we send out a cleanup crew after the round (golfers fix their pitch marks on the green right away). In casual speedgolf, you fix divots immediately

Most tournaments are lift and clean when conditions are like this. Even happens in PGA tournaments - they had lift clean and place at the Travellers since they were expecting weather.

Sure! Horton Smith is a 4.2 mile run if you’re hitting it straight. I'd guess he ran 4.3 in this round

A typical 18 hole couse will be in at just under 4 miles. Even when not speed running through it, that's still a lot of walking
Depends how straight you hit it. This course is about 4.2 miles if you play well.
To be eligible for speedgolf records, the course has to be 6,000 yards of golf and a minimum 4 mile run.
