  • The Turkish Get Up is an awesome total body workout, (if done correctly!) and has to be my all-time favourite kettlebell exercise for building strength and mobility!
If you’re new to the TGU, then make sure that you’re priming your joints and stabilizer muscles before attempting the full Get Up with these variations below!
    STEP 1:
    KETTLEBELL ARM BAR
    4-6 Reps/Side
    STEP 2:
KETTLEBELL ARM BAR TO HALF GET UP
    3 Reps/Side
    STEP 3:
    THE TURKISH GET UP
    3 Reps/Side, or 6 Reps, Alt.
TIP/CUE: As mentioned in the video, please make sure that you’re looking at the kettlebell throughout the entire movement. This will help to keep the bell stacked over/in line with your shoulder, helping you to stay balanced, and preventing any possible injuries!
Don’t forget to hold that bridge by keeping those hips high and glutes engaged!
    Who else loves a GetUp?!

I don't think I like someone's form more than yours, for this and for any other exercise. Great videos, Steph.

This girl has become by far my favorite fitness person to learn from...I really appreciate that she rarely talks on the shorter video clips, just getting right to the moves

It’s like the cameraman is deliberately cutting off half of her body and not showing us what exactly she’s doing with one of her legs.. Amazing channel and the girl but camerawork in every video is horrendous.

Not sure what you see but her legs are clearly visible and the camera moves throughout the motion. It’s a Turkish get up/stand up and easily googled for different views. Her motions are very controlled and deliberate for even the newest viewer or practitioner. Good luck and keep training! Positive vibes my friend.

@@Joedeee23 I can see her back really clearly. In the beginning of the video her bent leg when she moves it to the other side is not visible. I couldn’t understand what she was doing with it. I only caught a glimpse of it further into the video and realised she was extending it all the way down next to her other leg on the floor. Some other videos of hers - the cameraman often is zooming in to her stomach or other parts, not important in that particular exercise. So annoying! I mean, it was - I stopped watching this channel because of it. 🤨
