You are a good man. Thanks alot for this knowledge. I'm a Tanzanian from East Africa, Mbeya region. I liked it. Thanks again.
That’s a good schedule Moses. 3 days off per week. Some people can’t handle working weekends, but I know this schedule has great benefits.
CD LA I used not to like working on Sundays but this schedule works very well for us as a family. Without COVID, I go to church in the morning before leaving for work.
Love your channel inspired me to film my journey . I work the LA rails jbh.. getting a GoPro soon ..
Awesome! Just subscribed to your channel so I can stay in the loop
Much knowledge 😇🎄
Very Good 👍
It is nice watching this video cause i just started with JBI out of Lithia Springs, GA 4 days ago. I'm gonna be working Tue-Sat night shift.
Tyler Poole welcome to the team
Tyler Poole, did you have to take a road test or the Smith system van test?
I have a potential start date of 12/7/20, but I'm nervous about my backing. I'll be great doing my road test, its the backing I'm concerned with!
@@garyclay9899 if you know the basic mechanics you will be fine. They don’t make it hard. They know some people have 3 months experience. They want to see that you know the basics of how to back up.
What route do you cover? I'm out of Kentucky and planning to move south
Been seeing a couple of Schneider boxes out of KCS last week🤔🤔
Hi Moses 👋 Drivers Success 😃🚛
Marcos Ramirez 👋
How do you get into the driver's lounge after hours at the Dallas terminal?
Where are you located? I am with JB Hunt regional Amazon regional acct in Northern Kentucky and I want to move south Carolina or Florida. Wondering if it would be a pay cut
I had JB Hunt call me about a job interview and would like to get you’re input on it
Moses@driversuccess.com
I work Friday-Sunday ! 4 Days off
Jackie Golden WOW!! That’s even better.
Driver Success maybe I’ll get to see you one of those days
Jackie Golden if you’re out of Haslet I’m sure we will cross paths
Driver Success yes I am.
What's up Bro can you wear a Blu parrot headset while driving?
Don Taylor JB Hunt policy is no calls while driving including headsets. You have to be parked to be on the phone
@@driversuccess....all mane that would be hard for me because time moves fast sometimes 😪
Hi Moses your videos are very helpful. I’m starting with JBI on 29 Tue-Sat, i was wondering that is the mileage for empty or bobtail paid and do we get drop and hook payment for dropping the empty trailer and bobtailing out?
Karan Patel you get paid for all miles the truck runs during your shift. At the beginning and end of your shift, you will record the miles. That’s what you get paid in terms of miles.
As for empties, you get paid for an empty move only if it’s a job assignment.
Driver Success Thank you for the information
@@driversuccess what is JB paying you, cpm wise? So, you don't get paid hourly whatsoever? What about a pay percentage on a load delivery? What about wait time at customer site or other terminals? And do they pay for tractor breakdown tjme?
@@genep.6008 as intermodal local drivers we get paid by what we call “activity pay” we get paid a flat fee for each drop and hook, lives and all the odometer miles we driver in a day.
The times we get paid by the hour is if we are delayed at a customer place, at the rail, during a breakdown, safety training, etc
We also have various flat pays called “exceptions” that we May get paid for if encountered. As an example, if you went to a customer and found them closed or they cancel the load, you get paid for that.
The other thing to keep in mind is that even though we get paid the same way (activity pay) the pay varies by state.
@@driversuccess is drop hook about $9? And what if you wait in traffic, is there a wait en route hrly pay for this? Thanks for all your work, great informative videos!
I’m about to move down to local home every day what you suggest to me about the local and what’s the pay average compared to regional
Pay really depends on how you work. You may average the same but with the advantage of being home everyday or you may end up making more.
Hey Moses do you know anything about the Petco account? Or anybody with information about it, would definitely help thanks 🙏
Unfortunately I don’t know anything about it or anyone on it
Does JB Hunt do road test or the Smith system for their 3mon. experience regional position?
Yes. You will do both
How’s the drivers who infected covid are they alright and good if yes pls convey my wishes to them.
Caleb Manuel 17 oh yes. He came back after 2 weeks because that’s what the company policy was but he wasn’t sick of COVID. He just has asthma and that was really the problem.
Driver Success praise god l hope he will get better
Please you are in Canada right
No I’m not
Hi Moses I know intermodal can be somewhat unpredictable. But let’s say I wanted to work 8 hours a day. I know the pay wouldn’t be as good but I’m OK with that. Would I be able to work around 8-9 hours a day?
It would be hard because they expect us to at least put in 10 hours....and depends on your location too. Some terminals are busier than others
@@driversuccess I’m in Phildelphia PA
@@driversuccess I could do 10 hours but 12 is pushing it
Can you choose to start your day at 5-7AM?
Depending on the need, yes
@@driversuccess interesting. I heard about dedicated, I wonder if you’re able to pick your time. Start times are questions for a lot of ppl that may have other things they do outside of work.
@@DerrickPJames flexibility is usually hard to get on dedicated accounts
@@driversuccess around what times do desiccated accounts start?
@@DerrickPJames every account is different so it depends on their operation
How do you get paid? Milage, hourly, etc? Also what is your average weekly gross income?
Kenneth Massey this video will give you an idea but the numbers are kind of different now because there was a small pay change/increase.
Also keep in mind that the pay depends on your location. Here’s the video ruclips.net/video/nPGQ2Gjw6pk/видео.html
@@driversuccess you shouldnt be working for that low of an amount.
It good talking to last night young man be safe out on the road. Need make video about insurance
John Polk was nice talking to you too. I actually already made a video talking about JB benefits . If you search for “JB hunt benefits” on RUclips, it should be one of the vids that pop up
@@driversuccess I find it
So I should expect to work at least 50 hours and 5 days a week?
I would say between 50-60hrs for a 5 day week.
If you’re sharing a truck, your days should be less that 12hrs because you will need to turn in the truck for your slip seater.
IM NOT UNDERSTAND WHY YOU DON'T KNOW WHICH KINDA TRAILER U NEED TO PICKUP OR WHICH IS DELIVERY OR DROP
What do you mean? They tell us which load/trailer we’re picking up and where we’re taking it.
How many miles a day u average?
Luis Sanchez usually 250-350
