Glutathione is referred to as the "master antioxidant" because it helps protect the body from oxidative stress and inflammation, and it is crucial for aging gracefully and maintaining overall health. In this episode, I will highlight the functions of glutathione, such as detoxification and its role in various diseases like chronic liver disease, autoimmune diseases, and infertility.
We will also discuss the impact of behaviors like aggressive exercise, smoking, excessive alcohol consumption, and stress on glutathione levels. We'll take a look at a few research studies that support the use of glutathione as a therapeutic agent for several diseases and its potential benefits in cardiovascular health, exercise performance, and respiratory health.
Join me LIVE on Thursday at 12:30 PM!

Better to do NAC as a precursor instead. Then the body produces the glutathione it needs instead of force feeding it without a buffer.
@@chrismyers9951 True true, however Liposomal GSH will be a game changer if serious illness strikes, as well as massive doses of Melatonin. Wondering if GSH production which drops with age will be restored with NAC and Glycine.... they say it will, but that may not be true for everyone.
@@chrismyers9951 I used to do that quite often but it just didn't work as well for me.
My asd son had almost non existent glutathione on his OAT.
HPHPA and immunizations exhausted it. Regressed at 3 years old
Same for me, even tough not tested. My asd symptoms drastically decreased when I started taking Gluthaione alongside other Supplements, people don't recognize me as autistic at all anymore, not even experts. That also made me found out that many of my health symptoms had nothing to do with autism. Skin got clearer too, much clearer.
Thank you Dr.Osborne.No man is save by ignorance, indeed. And knowledge is power to save one's life.Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us.
I recommend Dr Osborne's content to friends regularly. I wish all doctors knew as much as he does.
Your intracellular nutritional test has helped me so much…
It’s amazing what we don’t know but can learn. Thank you 🙏
Oh wow what is that and how much did it cost?
So very helpful to see how the pieces of the puzzle work together!!! You’re so helpful in explaining all the important interactions to help us heal!! And maintain our health and wellbeing!! So very grateful to you for your willingness to contribute to all of us!!!
8:00 helps break down medication and excrete them out😊
14:32 many disease burn through glutathione stores. Can help with inflammatory diseases
22:42 ferritin levels and inflammation?
Thank you so much! You are a great teacher!
The diagram at 37:00 shows "folic acid" at the top. Should this read "folate"? Using these terms interchangeably can be misleading.
I have use glutathione for 2 years at age 47 years old became pregnant with a healthy baby my Dr thought I wasn't going to carry baby to full term .
Thank you Doctor Osborne, I love all the information you give us each week. Having taken your Nutritional deficiency test has been my best investment in my health.
How many vials of blood did you have to give?
I really appreciate this valuable knowledge- thank you
❤
Thank you!!
Thank you! this was extremely important and helpful
Another great video. Thank you Doctor.
Copper is needed to ACTIVATE glutathione. Nerve cells have 2 mln mitochondria, means are highly energy dependent. We CANNOT MAKE ENERGY WITHOUT COPPER. :) no matter glutathione :)
Great basic step by step informative session.
Thank you Soo much for these ...
What about BORON?
Thanks Dr. Osborn❤
Helpful, as usual, Dr. Osborne! 😍 Best regards from Germoney!🇩🇪
Simply the Best Thank you
Wow, very informative. Thank you
I use NRF2 which helps my body make glutathione. I have been taking is for years.
Big thank you Dr Osborne. As always, empowering information. 😊
As always....THANK YOU
Amazing information as always really want to have this nutritional testing done and have sent this to my daughter in law who is having concerning issues with her health…thank you Dr Osborne
Thanks a lot Dr. Osborne 🙂 Ure doing a lot for everybody 🙂

I had no problems & I'm 71yrs old!
I just starting using glutathione as I have diabetes, parkinsons', and other comorbities and feel so far
that it does no harm and does help. How does one test INA? My doctor won't test my vitamin levels except for vitamin D.
But Doc. ~ How does the double MTHFR mutation affect ability to make Glutathione ?
@Peter Osborne At 24:29 you say that glutathione combined with vitamin C decreases heart rate. I have low pressure and I don’t want it any lower so should I avoid glutathione completely or avoid taking glutathione along with vitamin C? Thank you.
I used to take glutathione but someone told me since I take NAC that I don't need to take glutathione as NAC generates it.
Hi, I took NAC, two of 600mg and I had a bit discomfort because asthma, for couple of hours. But the positive effect was very present beside this Asthma crisis. Any advice on this? To avoid Asthma crisis but still taking it?
I’m a carnivore and many of those foods I like to try and avoid like spinach due to it higher content of oxalates and so on. So is the carnivore and or keto good to help keep glutathione in our body? Kind of confusing. Peace
Where can I find the slides of the info?
Is also vitamin b2 involved within its production ?
While I was going through the diagnosis of non responsive celiac disease my deficiency were B2, B9, iron ( despite a full carnivore diet) and a really high ferritin.
Same here. Just found out. Anything that helps you?
@@jenniejohnson5497 I am using Questran, which it helped my folate absortion ( strict carnivore/fish diet) with no more bile acid malabsortion.
Vitamin D is also increased but the sun exposure is helping.
Homocysteine has decreased ( from 30 to 15) but I am sure that I have some type of vitamin b 12 malabsortion ( eosinophilia in my stomach with Gerd).
Which symtoms do you have ?
@@jenniejohnson5497 My ferritin is 400, serum iron 120, saturation 26%.
My hemoglobulin is high ( 18). I think that the suppression of my b lymphocytes ( I was diagnosed as a seronegative) compromized my bone marrow.
@@il3mendoa lot of people seem to be unable to get a b 12 diagnosis and have to just buy injections themslves. Avoid the cyano one i had aweful side effects from the cyanide involved. Seem to be super sensitive to everything. Which is good when i need it. Im trying to figure out whats wrong with my son hes exhuasted and his hair is falling out ..doctors of no help just handed us a result of a blood test eith zero explaination...he had high co2 and high something else. Its worth a try with something.
Yep…love the smoking comment…definitely have bigger problems, if you don’t get that…
I damaged my hypothalamus from water fasting, can you do a video on how to heal the hypothalamus.
What do you mean? Can you explain please. How do you know you damaged your hypothalamus. What tests did you get?
Iodine selenium together. Magnesium all the b vitamins. Complex. Fatty acids omega 3s and 9s especially keep the ratio at or higher than 6 in your diet. Keep the ratio of magnesium above calcium intake. Cronometer app is helpful for tracking those. Others I'm just getting to know but thise are base for nerve brain damage as well as the other vitamins. I found from using that app a lot of things constantly deficient. Theres also herbs but i dont know enough about them just learning.
Do you toxins in your brain when you have low glutathione? Or virus in the brain?
I have supplemented with NAC, and found that it leaves me with an odor, some might say fish, or squid like. What can be done to minimize this side effect, if anything?
I had the same, and that might be an asthma crisis side effect
Isn't the cheaper glycine converted to glutathione?
I had a positive Cologuard test blood and DNA (?). Since that time I changed my diet to mostly plant based as well as berry smoothies ( I was already eating organic as much as possible)but when I got off work, sometimes went to Toco Bell for a Power Bowl and snacked on Sun Chips at work as well as red wine with my dinner every night. It is taking so long to get a colonoscopy and I ordered Glutathione and Glutathione suppositories' (suggested by a nurse at a IV bar). I have not used the suppositories as of yet. Concerned that it is a bit overkill. Can you comment? I feel good and have lost 6 lbs. No wine, green tea instead. I am 75 , 5'3 wt - 158
Just reading your post & as an observer, I think it would be an overkill for sure.
