- Maybe it's just me, but it always seems like there isn't a single friendly player on official DAYZ servers. To be fair to these guys though, I did seem a little agitated. This is typically why I play solo on official servers most of the time haha.

If you play official witch is worse than rust and that's coming from someone that started on arma 2 as a mod dayz standalone and now arma 3 dayz epoch. Community servers are better, however rp servers are best for a real reason dayz was made. Going on my 500th character on epoch, even got a special role for it in our discord.

Nothing is more scary than running into another player at 4 am in the pitch black deep in the woods
,no spawning in a wide open field , and hearing gun shots ,..... that's scary

Oh, I don't know, it's pretty scary to be chased through the woods at night when you have no night vision and your antagonist does... bullets hitting all around you as you weave and sprint, until you run out of stamina and the inevitable red screen... adrenaline rush is real in DayZ.

What!? It's a pvp survival game. He straight up told them he's not in a position to be hostile, if he was in that position he'd still gauge the situation accordingly, and possibly be friendly.
For that guy to kill after knowing ops intentions and is empty handed is just cowardly or a need to kill someone to make himself feel better. He got nothing out of it. Not even peace of mind.

This guy would be dressed exactly like this in real life. The guy is fully immersed so much so I think he’s playing it in VR, naked with a 22 of old English and a pack of Marlboro. He puts in 8 hours at the plant, 12 hours on the game, gets 4 hours of shut eye then repeats. As far as he’s concerned he has 2 lives and in one of them he’s immortal.

My crew takes turns popping shots in the air to draw people in. Sometimes we'll overlap shots with each other to make it sound like something just went down. Typically leave with better gear and more ammo than we showed up with lol.

When I play with friends I always get one shotted from enemies, but when going in alone, I always come across the most kind humans. Yesterday a Russian saved me from starving and another guy gave me a shotgun when I told him I didn't have anything to hurt him

He agreed so he started making his way out of the complex we were in, died around the block to some zombies lol
I was once knocked out and tied up by another player telling me he wanted to see the light leave my eyes as he hacked me to death with a hatchet. Never wanted to play again since haha
i found 5 guys on the coast and we all went up to nwaf as a gang and nobody betrayed anyone!
Now try and do it again lmao that’s a once in a life time kinda thing…on official at least
I did the same but we went to tisy military I then continued playing with that same group almost everyday after that for a very long time somtimes this game and create some beautiful moments

I spawned in yesterday to a guy chasing me with an axe! I ran to a horde of zombies and found a downed chopper and found a M16. He seen me pick it up and turned tail into the zombies 😂. He was stuck in a gas station. I ran by and opened the doors repeatedly letting zombies in, he finally ran out to say hi my half clip I had left...
I've done similar. But it was a different game. I let off a homemade explosive to alert a horde I had passed earlier.

that's what happens when the map is yo big and there's absolutely nothing to do other than bully people.
DayZ would be great with some sort of a side content like turning on a TV, better fishing, radios that work all around the map stuck on around limited channels
you dont know how many times I've gone into the server list just to find a friendly that isn't shooting out of a building and when I do find them they die on the way to me for texting back.

First and foremost, survival 🤣😂 I can't ever get to build a base or hideout due to some fuqnut snipe'N me... 😕Like, come on! 😮💨 There's way more to do.. I managed to stash some goodies on one server... 😑🙄But I forget which one it is😂 Then it's way up north... Took me 26 hours just to make it from one end of the map to another.... Yes, deaths included 😂🤣😂🤣 AND I STILL MANAGED TO DIE😂🤣😂🤣 And it wasn't even a bullet that did me in 😂🤣 sickness 😂🤣😂🤣 I love this game.. it's as realistic as a zombie apocalypse gets😂🤣 case and point judging by the vid😂
Really cool ideas man. I think the game desperately needs a statistics page - like how long your longest life was, distance traveled, sicknesses cured, things like that.
In this same menu you could have a set of collectibles found throughout the map, which once picked up will permanently show in this menu - maybe medallions/coins/trading cards/postage stamps/whatever.
Things like this, and your ideas as well, add depth

thats why i stick to friendly community servers since im new and learning XD. to scared to learn how to not die from sickness while constantly worrying about suddenly fading to black out of nowhere from a sniper 10km away.

I feel you bro but I can't help but to find shoot on sight 2x community servers. It feels way more immersive to have to hide in the trees and scout towns before looting. Even more invigorating when someone comes into police station while I'm looting it.

I met someone who asked me if I had any food. Since I didn't had much for myself I said no and he left. After searching multiple houses in the area that dude found a pistol and some ammo and tried to kill me. Well... he didn't hit a single shot and then died to my Shotgun when trying to melee me^^
And on the other hand I met a dude, we teamed up and sadly he got sick and we didn't found any meds. He then killed himself and left all his stuff for me.

Be honest. Those statements implies the true answer to his question which is that if you DID have something, then you more than likely wouldn’t be friendly and therefore you deserved what came to you. You basically admitted that you were only being friendly because you were in a state of vulnerability and he read between the lines
