I truly appreciate your step by step tutorials.
Recipe for SKILLET STIR FRY CABBAGE
1 cabbage head (or half a cabbage head)
    Cut in cubes
1 can unsalted corn (the unsalted corn has a farm fresh flavor in this stir fry recipe)(drained)
    2 Roma Tomatoes Diced
    1/2 large onion Diced
About half a stick of butter/ cooking oil of your choice ( I like the flavor of butter)
    Salt to taste
    Pepper to taste
Dash of oregano or Italian seasoning
    Directions:
Start by melting some butter in a large skillet,,, about 1-2 Tablespoons, allowing the butter to brown a little to give the corn a earthy flavor. Add the drained corn and allow the corn to roast in the skillet.on Med high heat for about 5 minutes or so or until the corn looks a little roasted. Then add your onion, adding more butter till translucent. Then add I like to add about 1 teaspoon of KNOR Chicken bullion
NOW add the cubed cabbage and diced tomatoes. Add more butter if it looks like it’s drying out. Stir , and cover with a lid for about 2-3 minutes then add a little bit of water to allow moisture in the cabbage. Reduce your heat to a medium setting and a lower setting to simmer about 10-15 min or to You textured taste. This is a New Mexico recipe that I learned as a teenager ( to change it up, I like to add a small can of tomato sauce) it is SOOO DELICIOUS.
I HAD TOLD YOU A WHILE BACK THAT I WOULD SHARE MY NEW MEXICO FLAVOR CABBAGE SKILLET FRY. I HOPE YOU ALL LIKE IT 😋 HAPPY EATING
I LIKE TO CHANGE THIS RECIPE UP AND OMIT THE CABBAGE AND USE YELLOW SQUASH AND ZUCCHINI. OHHH GOSH , IS IT DELICIOUS.

I just found you today and have been binge watching. What I really appreciate is the timing you do. I think that the hardest thing for a new cook to learn is how to time their prep. and you seem to do it in all your videos. Plus you leave the oops parts in. Just a real cooking experience showing the kind of thing we need to know when we come home from work and need to put something yummy and nourishing together quickly.

I just discovered your videos in the past few days. Love them! I was born in Augusta, GA, and you and Chris remind me so much of home and family. I married into a family of Yankees (my hubby is named Chris too, BTW), and they just don't understand what it is to be a Southern Woman. :-) I live closer to my in-laws than I do my family and spend more holidays with them. I really miss a lot of my family's traditions with food because Chris's family doesn't eat the same things. I'm the only one who eats the sweet potato casserole or know what a fried bologna sandwich is in my neck of the woods. Watching your show gives me a little bit of home and family. Thank you both!

@@jamesgross6466 The hubby's family is from New York. They'd never seen a sweet potato casserole with marshmallows let alone tasted one until I made one my first Thanksgiving with them. They have traditions of their own that I enjoy. For example, a cookie that takes a week for the dough to rise that you can fill with fruit or nuts. I can't pronounce it or spell it, but it's mighty tasty. They celebrate St. Nicholas Day too which I'd never heard of. It's not all bad. I just get a little home sick now and then.

Gosh Tammy lve just got to tell you that youve made me so hungry watching you cook this country fried steak and gravy dinner. I had to ask him for a snack! ❤❤see hes my cook now as lm disabled after two strokes and lymphedema. So l had a slice of cheddar with my remaining leftover red beans and rice from Popeyes. It was delicious. But you made one of my favorite meals in record time. Its really hard to cook a whole meal and get it all ready to go on the table @ the same time. Girl you did an excellent job showing less experienced cooks how it is done and talked us through it the whole video. I could do the cooking part but would never be able to talk my way at the same time. You excell @both! I thought you should know. Great job. You have the best cameraman around and you and Chris are a winning team. Be sure and give him a hug for me. Tell him how good he is and reward him with a kiss. He deserves it.❤❤ God bless ya both! When making your mashed potatoes, warm your milk up in the microwave. It keeps the potatoes hotter. Also, you can use flour , butter and cream in your cabbage. It's an unbelievable taste. Thank you for sharing. It all sounds delicious.

I buy big bags of plain panko I get from an Asian market, then I season it how I need it for whatever I'm making. My grandma loved my country fried steak. My husband used to hate country fried steak till I made it for him. I can fry pork chops, fish, steaks, squash, and chicken strips like a champ, but cant fry chicken if my life depended on it. My husband cant fry anything but chicken. I'd say we're a perfect match. Brown gravy on country fried steak? Its gotta be cream gravy.

Great videos! I always cream my potatoes with a mixer also. I use some evaporated milk in mine instead of the other milk. I used to buy the cube steak but now it always has so much gristle in it that I don’t buy it anymore. Love your meals. You cook a lot like I do! Bless y’all!

Thanks Tammy. I never would have thought to use crushed dressing mix to coat the steak. You pulled it all together quite nicely. And just like Chris said with gravy all over everything. All the best...All the time. RMH/Ohio

Hey, I agree with Christ about the lemon pepper. I cannot stomach the taste. I also always use
"real garlic". I do not use the powder's. Thumbs up to Christ!!!

I gotta thank you Tammy for having Chris do your camera. I love your videos. I don't even watch your video before I hit that thumbs up. I think your biscuit cutter was a good find. Cabbage YUM. You know I am 69 years old and you have taught me something new. I never knew to use a cold rag to clean the counter. Gravy made from the drippings what ever they are.

My mom bout Saladmaster cookware in the 1950's. They were stolen except for a few lids, and a 3qt pan, when I moved. I am replacing it piece by piece and it has almost been a year since I began. I only have 2 more pieces to replace and I have the full set! I was born in '52 and I've used this cookware all of my life. Its the best you can buy, trust me when I tell you that all you need for a lifetime and more is Saladmaster and a couple pieces of cast iron cookware. You will never have to buy anymore cookware in your life!
