Have you seen anywhere a compilation of all the soldier narration diaries that were played between every mission? I would say they were even more interesting than the cutscenes.
one thing never made sense to me about this storyline. the leveler comes up once every 1000 years and the world is plunged into darkness for 1000years till someone beats them and starts a golden age. The narrator says its only been 30 years since the fallen lords came up so if you beat them all during the campaign who's gonna be the bad guys for the next 970 years?
My brothers and I surmised it would probably be Alric or one of his descendants. Its mentioned by the narrator that Alric states that Balor was the great hero Connacht during the previous age before he became the Leveler. It's like their world has a never ending, evil, king-of-the-hill archetype that takes the previous strongest person and makes them embody this persona.
@@ConfusedRockJudging from Connacht and his companions. The next Leveller is bound to be Alric and the Nine. It's another story altogether if its Alric's descendant because it'll open a hole can of worms.

Brilliant games Myth 1 and 2. Both had good animations, the first, american style, the second japanese style but they both worked.
first was disney style, second anime. I liked the first a little bit better but you're right they both were good.
