      My 2014 SXT Blacktop Charger (bought last year as is) it already has Magnaflows on it and a rear muffler delete. My pipes are 2inch from cats - back end.
      My question is: If I get my pipes redo and bigger to 2.5’inch all the way through so I can weld on my 2.5’inch tips. Would I have to get a Dyno or re checked? Or would I be fine.

      It's ok guys. I promise a mid muffler delete is perfectly fine and absolutely does not affect performance in any way on these cars, good nor bad. The middle muffler, is a muffler. The resonator at the tail of the exhaust is a resonator. Words have meaning use them correctly. This gentleman is correct on one issue. People have got to stop removing catalytic converters or installing headers without getting the car tuned. Keep in mind this gentleman has a job to do, and that's what he's doing.

    • @2dudescamp
      @2dudescamp Год назад +2

      Agree with you and @Mikes05Hemi. This guy does talk a lot, and not all true. Really, the only true statement is properly tuning after any header replacement. Any piping work after the cats have zero effect on engine performance. Also, like so many who don’t quite understand fluid dynamics as it relates to automotive exhausts, “back pressure” is absolutely not what you want. That hinders performance. What he struggles to explain is the importance of a properly tuned exhaust system that takes advantage of exhaust pressure pulses creating negative pressure behind them to help evacuate the cylinder of spent gases. Header diameter and length are the important players with this. That’s it. Once the exhaust flow enters the cat’s the dynamic is lost, hence the reason mod’s after the cat do nothing to performance.

    • @2dudescamp
      @2dudescamp Год назад

      Okay, just to add to the back pressure understanding, it’s not a matter of need. The engine definitely does not need it. Back pressure is in fact bad for engine performance. What this guy was struggling to explain is pressure pulses from combustion being used to help evacuate burnt gases from the cylinders. That requires understanding fluid dynamics to “tune” the exhaust (correct header length and diameter). Changing headers can improve or worsen this, either way it also requires tuning the pcm to correctly adjust a/f and spark to match the changes.

    if cars needed back pressure they would be on top fuel dragsters and funnies. Boosted cars need the most, least restrictive exhaust gas pressures to maximize efficiency. N/A cars need proper pipe sizing to effectively "scavenge" exhaust gases to pull them through and through. back pressure does non of that.

    Bro back pressure is bad for engines, it’s called exhaust scavenging… if your exhaust pipe diameter is too big or if you have a restrictive exhaust(meaning your exhaust creates back pressure) your car can’t expel all the combusted gas when the exhaust valve opens… so that residual exhaust in the cylinder lowers your Air fuel ratio causing that lost of power in low rpm… these cars have X-Pipes to aid with scavenging so mid muffler delete does not affect the performance of these cars at all

    He literally said stop being a cheap ass and buy a full exhaust. If he was an any other mechanic he would take the quick money. Just reading the comments I already know who took there car to the paisa down the block and paid 50 bucks

    Too funny, a four cycle engine doesn't require "back pressure." A two cycle engine is a different story. This is why competition 2 stroke motorcycles, and even chainsaws for lumberjack competitions have expansion chamber exhaust.

      Use the black key in rain to reduce the chance of spinning. It does so on dry pavement fairly easily, just more so in rain. Otherwise it handles just fine like any other car if driven like any other car.

      @@2dudescamp he doesn't need the black key for that. Just use 500 mode even with the red key or eco.

    Why do you people want an obnoxiously loud car ❓.... I advise you people to call your mom first and have her give you the attention she withheld from you as a child cause that's what you people are really seeking.
