hats off to Eli for making a less complicated trick look like an advanced one. that takes a ton of talent to do!
The student is teaching the master. Eli knows his stuff and is very confident on camera.
Honestly, Eli's awkward-ish patter actually totally works. I'm invested in his character and actually have fun watching him perform. It's a weird dichotomy between genuineness and ironic-detachment. Love it!
I got Lennart Green-vibes of it.
@@MrViippola wanting to say that, just cant get it out, sort of that sloppy and dont care vibe
@@meh2499 Yes, exactly. That style in itself is very effective in disarming any spectators.
@@MrViippola green's style is somewhat similar to dani's and juan's imo. Its chaotic , green's more of an uncle joe trynna do a card trick vibe, but these type of performace will lead to a more natural way of handling the card. Because the audience expect u to be sloppy. You can get away with lots of move
Yup. Agreed 👍
How good is Eli at walking theough the technique, though? Absolute quality!
Absolutely brilliant trick and explained very well. Eli has some good skills. I also love that he knew the history of the trick as well. :-)
this kid is wildly talented. there's some shyness there, but he hid it so well that no one probably noticed. he has teaching talent too. please put him on again when he has new tricks.
I saw Eli peek the deck, however the first shuffle fooled me, looked like a legit shuffle. but caught it on the explanation. Really slick, and a great flourish on the end makes it look amazing.
I missed the peek, but I thought I spotted the first shuffle, so I paused it and went back in slo-mo :P some REALLY slick slight of hand there.
I missed the peek AND the fake shuffle on the first go-round.
I've practiced false shuffles for a long time, never been that slick.
That was a really good one, simple with a couple of good moves to sell the illusion of making it more complicated than it really is.
Now he just needs to learn how to style his hair into long spikes and the lad's good to go^^. The future of magical social engineering.
I went to elementary and middle school with Eli. Dude’s always been good at Magic. Keep it up homie!
I havent seen many videos from this channel nor am I familiar with magic, however these dudes are amazing keep it up this is the kind of content that needs more attention. Very well put together and informal.
Don't forget to check out the second channel. Modern Rouge!
I've watched these guys for years. Great content! =]
"Shall I count?"
"No!"😂😂😂
Just my personal opinion, in my mind if I want a mentalism effect like "memorize the deck order" or something else, better I use least fancy move in that routine. But I learned a lot from your video Brian, as always, thank you for sharing.
Dude, great job.
I want to see more of you on this channel, Eli.
That was brilliant.
_"The circle is now complete. When I left you, I was but a learner.... now _*_I_*_ am the master."_
_KKGGGHHHHHH! SHHHHHH!_
Nice light-saber onomatopoeia. Now I'll take a stab at the action:
VWUNNN! VWUN!
All right. That’s one of the coolest, flashiest no-setups I’ve seen in a while. Impossibly simple to perform.
Well done Eli!!
This is a great trick. I always love cold setups.
smart move, I really bought it came from middle of the deck
Ditto. That dude's definitely done his practice and shown me something I've personally never seen before... And it seemed as though Brian hadn't either!
Love how Eli (Lord Night Plague) do his routine !
So the future hosts of Scam Nation and Modern Rogue will be him and Josie ?
Boy does time fly. I remember when it was Scam School and the sponsor after every video was Go Daddy. I miss being a kid.
This is pretty awesome! 🔥 content as always
Eli is so cool, and his dad is a great singer/songwriter as well!!
Really cool simple move!!!
Excellent!
5:39 my exact response when someone says something dumb.
Kudos, Eli!
Great video.
Excellent trick and simple enough even I could do it with a bit of practice (the height of sleight of hands for me is not spilling my drink). Looks like Eli is taking over.
That was beautiful!
Very good move
Very well done. I didn't notice the peek but I suspected a key card would be involved when the card was put back, however those shuffles fooled me. That flick got me, I really thought the card came from the middle of the deck. And to round it off, the explanation was excellent.
@@gernotg8480 Help how?
The flick move was awesome, but the false riffle definitely needs some work lol
And he didn't even make you buy him a soda to learn the trick.
Cool move....
Eli is the goat
My man 🤘🤘🤘
Hey that’s a nice looking deck Brian! Where might one procure such a deck?
This all day.
New move? I learned that when I was 10 years old. Lol
It doesn't HAVE to be underneath the card, it can be above as well depending on how you cut the deck.
Discord squad! So crazy seeing Eli teaching on the channel now, and a great trick too! I met him years ago at Tannen's Magic Camp, great to see him continue to do great magic!
Hey man!👋 Good to see you’re doing well! Thank you for the kind words.
Put him in more videos
😊
@@elicarll1398 you killed it man, your false shuffles are so crisp. Also for someone so young you have natural charisma whilst on camera. Keep smashing it man.
@@punkbmx Thank you so much man!
*3:28** Nice try mr or mrs editor, but I caught that cut. Can’t for the life of me figure out why you had to do it.*
Why not find the card in the deck using the key, then count x number of cards past it (the quantity is entirely up to you), then cut at that point and actually position the selection at a specific number then count down to it? You can still note the cards before and after and add that subtly in too. No one is going to believe that the card is at the number you say. It’s never proven so the premise falls a little flat and it’s just a fancy production of the selection.
While that would be impressive also, I feel like it would cheat you out of that flick-move moment, which-- for me-- sells me a new flashy move I want to learn!
This will go over smootly when i´m showing of dtunk :-)
💎
love the trick. Just wondering how often is a magician getting sloppy/unlucky and cuts between his key card and the targets card?
Probably about 1 time in 26. That's no problem, since the cards are still in order... if it happens, you can just cut the deck while you're leafing through it, in plain sight. Don't explain it, but make it look like, ok, I've memorized these ones, now let's get them out of the way so I can memorize the next ones, and tuck them underneath.
So when will Eli fight Brian over molten lava and Brian claims that he has the high ground trying to stop Eli from becoming the Dark Wizard
I didn't know there were interns in the scam life.
Ok, I want to be your intern now
Interns these days, man
Discord squad has arrived.
It was easy to follow all the cheat moves he did
He taught it wrong... when he does it at the start brian does the first cut and he doesn't even get a chance to look at the key card
He looks at the key card even before the cut happens. Check at 0:55, he looks at the bottom of the deck because when completing the cut this will land on top of the chosen card.

I miss Josie :(

Howdy People! Hope y'all enjoy the video! Brian and I had a lot of fun shooting it!
You did great. When's the next video? 😃
@@JB_inks Not sure! I'm already thinking of new ideas though!
Hey Person! Enjoyed both the trick and the explanation! Now I'm gonna watch it again...
When you did the trick I didn't see the first cut when finding the card, so it looked like you split the deck and swapped the top and bottom when you found it, then took what originally was the topmost card and bottom most card of the deck instead of the middle ones.
But since you already looked at the cards, couldn't you instead memorize the first and last card before the cut and just show those so you don't have to do the swap?
Let me be your intern please

@@elicarll1398 Any other scam school videos coming up you're in?
@@McKMagic We'll just have to see
Mate josie is like 14 hes 18 lol u mad
I guess you also want to flick the card as it drops down, right? And I guess you need to be a nail biter to make that flick with that method.
Are you guys ever gonna start filming at bars again?
Probably yes, however we are also building a bar at our HQ to bring people to us as well.
@@cranfill holy shit really? That's gonna be awesome. Also, how's about getting DJT back on?
