FILM DESCRIPTION:
Bella (Kristen Stewart) awakes -- as a vampire -- from her life-threatening labor, and her newborn daughter, Renesmee, proves to be very special indeed. While Bella adjusts to her new state of being, Renesmee experiences accelerated growth. When the Volturi learn of the baby's existence, they declare her to be an abomination and sentence the Cullens to death. Bella, Edward (Robert Pattinson) and the rest of the clan seek help from allies around the world to protect their family.

I just see this as a Mary Sue moment. The other vampires struggled to control their blood lust and she gets it on her first day as a vampire
You may be right. But here's my opinion (might be in the wrong) since Bella already knows about the vampires and knows a bit of their story, that changes everything. All the others never heard/saw vampires when they got changed.

You can always say to yourself "yeah I can do that easily" but when you actually do it weeeelllll not as easy as you would imagine. She should not have been able to master it on her first day.
They explain in the movie that its part of her powers as a 'Shield'. It gives her more control and is also why no one could read her mind or see her future clearly.

@@keybladegames_real She’s been a Shield since the first movie when she was still human. They just didn’t go in-depth and explain it until she was turned. So just good continuity really.
My grandparents' dog was named Bella, so when he told "BELLA DON'T" I laughed cause it was like he is scolding dog XD

well supposedly when going "vegan" drinking animal blood instead of human. Predators like mountain lions have more "appetizing" blood.
Edward explains to her that carnivores taste better than herbivores because they eat things with blood!
I think it was also symbolic.
For so long, Bella was the prey animal threatened by predators.
Could be a sign that she hasn't lost her sense of who she is.

Always a staple fave of mine the entire Twilight saga movies! In my own personal opinion one of a few greatest love stories with horror(ish) mixed in to boot!

I think they tried to avoid the Mary Sue problem in this moment, but it was just too quickly resolved.
The visuals aren’t bad, but a bit poorly executed with all of the cuts and weird editing.
It goes without saying that splitting the final book into two movies was incredibly unnecessary and driven by studio greed after it worked out extremely well for Harry Potter.
But it's pretty sad that the more interesting stuff is in the second part and yet they can't really explore Bella being a vampire at all bc they did so much bullshit for 4 movies.
It's interesting that most film adaptations of books are like that. What I mean is Harry Potter, Twilight, Hunger Games, and some others all have the last book being split into two movies. For Twilight, I personally think it worked out in a sense that we get to see her as a human (and the decline of that) in Breaking Dawn Part 1, and then her as a vampire in the second part. I do love the books, and because I read them first, watching the movies was a bit of a let down (as it is for any film adaptations in my opinion). I am a huge fan of reading and have been since I was a kid. I was the kind of adolescent (and still am at 25) to read a whole book series in a week (which I did on multiple occasions). Because of the fact that I was ten when the first movie came out, I didn't watch it at the beginning of the hype about Team Edward vs. Team Jacob, etc. that came with the popularity of the movie. I believe I was 13 when I read the books, so I saw Breaking Dawn Part 2 in theaters when it came out (I had the other movies on DVD). Of course, the movie, which I still think is great, was more focused on the action sequences. There are so many plots that they didn't include in the movies (which I understand is expected), however, I do agree with you to an extent as I had more hope as they could include more book plot points. As fantasy filled as Stephenie Meyer's saga is, there were some very "real" aspects to it (like interactions, teenage awkwardness, etc.) that were included in the book, which gave more depth to the characters. In the movies, having a more stunt coordinated movie (like focusing on the final battle rather than the littler details), much was left out. You can always expect a film adaptation to not include/change a lot of things, but I do think that they could have added some things to make the movie more similar to the book's plots as they had two movies for a just over 700 paged book.
Exactly it wasn't necessary. Harry Potter was the first to do it and it was necessary as there was too much content to cover and an actual story there with the multiple backstories and characters. Twilight wasn't that necessary, it could've been fit into one whole movie. Breaking dawn part 1 was filled with nothing.

Great! Hunt the cougar instead of the deer so the deer becomes overpopulated. What is it with pre existing concepts demonizing predators? They are as neutral as prey in the food chain.😢

Killing predators that kill our potential food sources is not just a vampire thing. Human hunters did it dating back to the ice age glaciers. It's just that a fictional vampire can do it without weapons. That deer won't always be safe from Bella. She is now the apex predator in her home range.

If you wanna find out why, just read the first chapter of Breaking dawn, just the first, you'll see that almost NOTHING of Bella's first experience as a vampire was shown here...so disappointing
