Even small food pantry hauls are a blessing and helpful. It amazes me how many people don’t know how to use a lot of fresh produce. Or how to preserve it for later use. Every month at our produce distribution we have to tell people how to utilize their produce to make it last longer
I love squash. Pro tip: Cut them up into coin size pieces, add salt and pepper and simply put them into the microwave for ten mins (don't add water because the squash will produce it's own water). You can even add onions. I'm fortunate enough to have a fair amount of food pantrys around here that are decent, so I love to try new things. I generally hit about 5-6 per week. We now have 5 freezers lol. I love those little baby fruit pouches. I was at a pantry today and they were encouraging people to take as many boxes of those as they could possibly use. I took 3 large boxes. I LOVE to put them in the freezer. I pull them out for about 20 mins from the freezer when I want to have one, and it's like a smoothie. Fantastic. :)
I'm not familiar with food pantry, I've seen people adding items to a blessing I'm assuming its the same thing? Are these for people who are finding it hard to budget on the money they have? We have food banks in the uk that help people who are going through a difficult time. Sorry lots of questions just trying to understand the context.
Every little bit helps. I love sautéing zucchini mushrooms onion and cherry tomatoes in garlic butter!

I like adding pizza toppings to sliced squash/zucchini and bake.
There's all kinds of things you can do with squash. You can fry it, saute it, make a casserole with it. But then I'm in the south 😂😂
I am not from the south and that all sounds delicious.
