Southern California has great food banks went to a lot of them years again when husband layed and they helped alot now i do husband back to work. I did go to food banks to stock up they helped alot on stocking up. Great video thanks ❤😊
Your food bank hauls are mind-blowing. I've never seen anything like it! You are so generous to give away food boxes. You are very inspirational because picking up and then managing all that food must be exhausting!
Lol, it kinda is. I love being able to help. I used to have money and could just buy stuff if people needed it. Now, l am limited on funds but I have more time to help and share. Being a part of a small town church has been so fun. 😍 lots of needs, emotional and physical pop up at random. I like to be prepared!
I went to the food pantry today and it was bountiful. I got fresh milk not out of date and that is a rare experience, because most of the time the milk is out of date by a day or two. I live in a small town too. Great people at local food pantries we partake at, eh?
There are a lot of grants out for food pantry proteins. Grants look daunting but are more about networking and communication than good writing. Ours just got a grant just for protein. It's not usually like this.
You some hidden valley ranch dip and Frank's hot sauce, and chicken in a crock pot on low for 8 hours. And it will be so tender and fall apart as you are shredding it.
Idea: freeze the bananas whole in freezer bags for smoothies and baking banana bread. Cut up and cook the apples and freeze for cooking and baking. Etc. There is always canning too. With the citrus, you can squeeze the juice into ice cube trays and freeze for adding to ice tea or lemonade or just free mix g it in bigger baggies for juice. The possibilities are wonderful. I am so glad you got so much good usable food! The haul is a blessing to the givers and the receivers!!
Ooooo, I had not thought about juicing the citrus. Going to have to do that. I learned the hard way that you need to peel bananas BEFORE you freeze them. Lol, what a slimy mess. Yuck.
@MargDBX this has been pretty new. And the ladies love my kids. We have done a lot of volunteering before our income changed. They get spoiled I think.
I volunteer at a food and clothing pantry. We try to give cakes like this to families with kids. Some weeks we are very heavy on donations and others very low. Some weeks we have lots of customers and some weeks few. The food has to be distributed as it will go bad and we do not have a lot of freezer capacity either. We use the term “haul” all the time as it is a haul to get it all out and loaded in the car. Customers get the word from us and it has nothing to do with the awesome appreciation we get from customers no matter what words they use. God bless!
@BlueyGaming101 that's how ours started, except it was beans and old apples. 🥰 Volunteers go and pick up bread and bakery items and some write grants and others get grocery stores to donate. If we didn't have super active Volunteers we would not have much.
That’s a TON of food! That’s a blessing to receive for whoever in need, I feel like the poor working class and disabled is feeling the pinch of the economy.. things are still high and will continue to go up, all of us are doing good to stay afloat much less having to afford groceries these days..egh
If people knew what to donate for non perishables it would be better. Like, flour, sugar, baking stuff, spices, you know things you need to cook. Cooking spray, oil , shorting, baking powder/soda, cinnamon, vinegar. I could go on n on. I use to only think people just need can goods and cereal jiffy mix ……
Yes! When my husband was in boot camp, the guys from Oregon and Wisconsin and Michigan would all argue who made the best cheese and ice cream. It made me laugh.
My food bank has been working really hard and grants and the volunteers that drive an hour one way, twice a week, to get bakery leftovers. It is pretty amazing and I am very grateful.
Nice to see you 😊

They are. My neighbors give up their Saturdays to serve people and I admire that. My daughter has started to go with them when she can.
Great score
I wish our food bank would give out meats and poultry. Wow, that's a nice pantry haul.

Enjoy the blessings

Great haul! I'd love to see a video on how you're able to bless others.
