Great lesson! Very melodic sounding I’m going to work on this at home 1st chance. Do you use the caged system at all to teach? Trying to find ways to visually connect these scales up & down the fretboard since I don’t really read music much. Thank you for these ideas 💡
I’m glad to help! Taking a lick and making little ideas from it is so useful and fun. And it gives you nearly endless possibilities. Thanks for watching!
That’s a tough one especially without seeing your playing first hand. If you’re already an advanced player simple things like holding your hand in front of your fretting hand limiting motion or placing an object in front of your playing hand limiting motion like a wall or table or something. Possibly just being very observant and limiting motion and doing things slow with small motions will work. Honestly weird things like making sure you’re breathing properly while playing helps, always tapping your foot to the rhythm. Distracting yourself slightly with TV or a conversation or something. It’s a complicated issue but you being aware of it is a super valuable and important first step. Just stick with it, try new things and eventually over the months or years you’ll play with no tension and small relaxed motions. I hope this helps!

yes i need it. thanx ❤

Thank you!
You’re welcome 🤘
Any tips on keeping your fingers close to the fretboard? With pentatonics mine lift too far off , causing tension.
