Thank you, Dr. Chung for being honest and providing me with the right diagnosis. I went to see Dr. Chung last week. He was kind to give an early appointment. The visit lasted for an hour, and I explained to me my condition, which was not the hemorrhoids but anal spasm . I felt very relieved . However, the pain I was going through was somewhat unbearable . Dr. Chung gave me the right medications and mentioned to see a physical therapist for pelvic floor exercises. It's so worth meeting a good proctogist . Thank you!! Keep up with your videos. 😂

@humausman2823 Hi, Dr. Chung asked for personal health history and allergies. After reading my conditions , he prescribed Tramadol 50 MG for muscle pain and Valium 2 mg for pain. Only take them when the pain is strong. Ibuprofen also helps. I take them with almond milk . Also, Only when I have pain.

So pleased to hear you discuss Chronic Pelvic Pain.it was the primary reason I discovered your channel a couple of years ago when I thought I had severe hemorrhoids. I have scinced learned from our local proctologist and urologist that neither hemorrhoids or my prostate were the problem -- it has been my tight pelvic floor which has just caused misery and has turned my life upside down. My inability to sit for more than just a few mins has cost me a well paying office job after 25 years and has also significantly impacted my social life as it is impossible to do simple things like travel in a plane, car, or train or even go out for dinner or a movie. I certainly welcome any advice you or your viewers can offer to make the pain more tolerable.

I'm a patient of Dr. Chung and I suffer from a chronic fissure. He had me try Diltiazem, which gave enormous relief but did not fully heal my fissure. He never once suggested or pushed Pranicura, but I was curious so I asked him about it. I am now on my second bottle -- it is a life changer. That stuff works! He also recommended pelvic floor physical therapy, which also helps. I like that Dr. Chung does not recommend surgery, unlike other doctors. He listens and "hears" patients and provides them the tools. He's cracked the code when it comes to butt issues. Thank you Dr. Chung!

Pelvic floor physical therapy helped me so much to completely heal my last fissure. Now I’m having a recurrence. CRS says milder than last time. I’m already doing PFPT on myself. One of the things that help me most was realizing that the more I stayed calm and breathed and try not to tighten up around the pain, the faster, things, healed, and the quicker I was out of pain. Pain is in the brain. I highly recommend the book, “the way out” by Alan Gordon. Thanks Doc!

For the females among us I go to a female special physical therapist, she specifically gives therapy for the pelvic floor.
She does a before and after the therapy.
She uses vagina to reach my pelvic floor.
There are also specifically curved wands you can use.
She doesn't use my rectum because I have TENESMUS and so if she would use that to do pelvic floor therapy it would be to pain and uncomfortable because I would get a constant urge to use the toilet.

Hello Dr. i am 23 turning 24 in a few weeks. I have been looking through all the comments going crazy trying to figure out my best option. I live in Hawaii & we aren’t known for the best doctors…
To keep a long story short.. I have been dealing with severe stomach pain & stage 4 hemorrhoids for just about 3 years now. Ended up in the ER at 4.7 hemoglobin & flown to another island in order to get enough blood back into my system. Developed really bad anemia to the point where i need 1,000mlg of iron every month. Everything I eat angers my BM, so it just resulted in not eating or avoiding it all together.
It took my life over to the point where I can’t work, eat or go outside… I’ve been seeing multiple doctors. Gotten multiple opinions/suggestions. Ran multiple tests which some required money out of my own pocket to get to (outer islands) my insurance definitely helps but idk how much longer I’ll have it since I can’t seem to get to work.
I am currently 20hrs into my clear liquid diet whilst I clear out my system for a second colonoscopy. I’ve almost given up. Don’t feel like I’m being helped. Feels like every doctor I see only has an opinion & no solutions.
I’ve seen things on laser removal of hemorrhoids. This is my next talking point when back in the hospital.

i may need to do this because while my flare up down there is sometimes low and mild, it's still very annoying to deal with because it would last for hours and would happen once a week. now ive lead a life of being seated for the last 2 years, dealing with constant aggravated stress and somewhat straining myself when using the bathroom (not constipated but i push more than i should to finish up quick and i should just let my body naturally go on it's own without i helping to push) and eversince i started to control all of that, i haven't had a single episode for over a week yet i can feel sometimes that it wants to start up again lol. im exercising now, managing my stress and not straining myself when using the bathroom and these exercises mentioned in the video is something i may have to do as well to really keep it under control. never noticed i was subconciously clenching my pelvic muscles from the stress. this sort of condition no matter where the pain is at down there, can really mess up your day when it flares up. 😔

Then said pelvic floor therapy and as a last resort injections.Have been going for 10 visits the sites bone feel better and I do all the exercises I am doing what can I do sitz baths use creams for hemorrhoids they get better then flare up.
PT has been doing some therapy both with anus and vagina.Always feels achy afterwards.I have been taking advil and ibuprofen.

Got tight again,,tried to do the work with my finger and it made me bleed. Do I still do it when my fissure, hemms are bleeding? With that
Being said I was able to feel an ano rectal intussusception on myself and had it verified by CRS. Thankfully I did or it may have been missed! Glad it was suggested I do the finger work. Oh and is ok to do the stretching etc on toilet?

It would nice to see a proctologist. I am 60 years old and have never had a colonoscopy. The prices for getting the things you need are too high. I can’t afford them. I suppose that if I am to die of cancer, there’s really nothing I can do about it. Maybe someday, it will be cheap enough that everyone in my family can get one.

I agree with many that your animated video is very cheerful, however, a bit repetitive to get to a point. If you had taken less time with repetition, you may have had enough time to explain what Kegel is and the best way to do it for men. Subsequently, I did search it, but I would have preferred to compare what I found to your practice of the exercise.

@@yourfriendlyproctologist Thank you, would you mind reading my other comment? I'm at a loss and I would greatly appreciate your input... :(
2 months ago I tried some anal play. I bought a small buttplug. There was no problem going in (lots of lube, going slow, breathing correctly), but after having it inside me for a few minutes and orgasming while it was inside me, it started burning and itching a lot, so I tried to get it out.
However at that point I was SO TENSE that I struggled to pull it out and when I did, it burned and stung like hell. My bum was sore for the entire day afterwards and since then I've been having burning/sharp pain during BM (I'm totally fine during the day otherwise). I visited 2 greatly reviewed proctologists and they said I only have some grade 2 and 3 internal hemorrhoids and no fissure at all. I don't bleed during BM ever.
Could it be that my muscles in the anus are so tense that when the stool passes through, it stings and burns because the stool is trying to expand the muscles which have some sort of PTSD from my anal play? I've been trying to gently massage my anus inside with my finger past days and it seems to be much more relaxed now but like 2-3 cm in, there's a spot where it still stings quite a bit when I put the finger there...
      I appreciate any input!

LADIES, do some research on using your thumb to support your vaginal wall. Very helpful in rectocele (that a large percentage of us have) and emptying the bowel efficiently. Also, it lessens the amount of exctements coming through the anus at the same time. I swear this is what turned my deep anal fissure around. Oh, and keeping stool soft and pooing crouching over a bucket with a plastic bag in helped immensly too. The last thing I did was seeing a physical therapist to diagnose and strenghten my pelvic floor. You CAN do this!

I've seen anal stretching by a surgeon using fingers on a patient under G.A. It was probably a severe case. At the other extreme some people do fisting which would be harmful in the long run, but it at least shows how stretchable the sphincter muscles can be.😊

I had three anal surgeries. anal surgery provides temporary relief but symptoms usually come back, the scar tissue from surgery causes anal stenosis which worsens hemorrhoids or fissures in the long run. Try to avoid surgery as much as possible.
