First of all: I'm German. Many years ago, I first came across to this genre. Despite the fact that it's light music (in the meaning of popular music), it has an incredible musical depth and tense. Since I'm a drummer (non-professionel), I pay close attention to the rythm section (guitar included). The live version is very different from the studio record. Regarding the studio version, there is one of the best hi hat work ever recorded to be heard. From my point of view, truly a masterpiece.

Je suis Burkinabé et je suis née en Côte d'ivoire à l'époque, mon papa avec les cassettes de Franco, Pepe kalé, Rochereau , Koffi olomidé et je me rappelle que chaque matin, il faisait jouer cette musique très tôt le matin et quand il se sapait pour le travail, il ne faisait que danser et chanter et tous les weekend, j'entendais cette chanson et je me demandais ce qu'il comprenait à cette musique pour être amoureux de cette chanson et je le découvre aujourd'hui, je suis touché jusqu'à au fond de mon coeur.
Un lingala chanté magnifiquement bien ..on ne l'entend plus parlé comme cela désormais....trop de mots français a présent se mélangent ...sans doute un vocabulaire qui se perd. Merci franco pour cette chanson unique et eternelle

Cette chanson me donne de la chaire de poule même si je ne comprend pas le lingala 😢 … je l’ai découvert sur la chaîne de radio africa N*1 quand j’étais tout petit à côté de mon père qui l’écoutait tous les matins avant d’aller au travail. Ce même jour un de mes amis avait perdu sa maman et on n’arrêtait pas de pleurer et cette chanson m’a fait encore plus couler des larmes 🤦♂️ … la vie n’est rien et à cette époque tout était beau , les gens étaient très polis et surtout moins agressifs .

Cette chanson me donne de la chaire de poule même si je ne comprend pas le lingala 😢 … je l’ai découvert sur la chaîne de radio africa N*1 quand j’étais tout petit à côté de mon père qui l’écoutait tous les matins avant d’aller au travail. Ce même jour un de mes amis avait perdu sa maman et on n’arrêtait pas de pleurer et cette chanson m’a fait encore plus couler des larmes 🤦♂️ … la vie n’est rien et à cette époque tout était beau , les gens étaient très polis et surtout moins agressifs .

C est normal puisque le makossa provient de la rumba et à l époque tous travaillaient en live que ce soit les congolais ou camerounais.Tous possédaient des bons chanteurs à voix et des grands instrmentalistes.Pas aujourd'hui ou le makossa a perdu sa valeur ainsi que la bonne pure rumba

I love this song though the meaning escapes me. The Franco and Madilu duo was electric. Even without harmonizing, I mean both sang same part it still worked.Needless to say the guitar was simple and magic.
