great music from kenya
Many comments below mention cherished memories of the past and disappointment with current music.
I am not disappointed with current music, it is not the same as in the past only different.
I am only disappointed that I do not have the same cherished memories for the reason I was born outside of the continent and my family is non-african.
But my children now already have those memories because I am that dad to them who plays African music when inside a car Видеоклипы

Les Wanyika is a prominent band with Tanzanian and Kenyan members based in Nairobi, Kenya. It was formed in 1978 when drummer Rashid Juma, guitarist Omar Shabani, bassist Tommy Malanga, saxophonist Sijali Salum Zuwa and Phoney Mkwanyule left the Simba Wanyika Band.

I grew up listening to this great hit in Zimbabwe in the early 2000s and it carries bittersweet childhood memories of long lost friends and relatives, and classmates. Today, 30 June 2023 21:12 , I am still enjoying this hit. I am lucky to play soccer with a gentleman and a lady from kenya here at Miami University, USA, and they would always translate this for me. I miss the good old past. 😢
This is a powerful hit homeboy

I am here listening in style at the age of 65yrs old. But at the early age in late seventies and early eighties had an album if it yo play when I was a student. I had a record player in 1980 to play for Xmass celebrations with my cohorts. I cry for all of them because they are all gone in their graves. But ai am still alive. Just to honour all of them.
Anyone who will be here in 2050 must know that i was also here in 2019 enjoying this nice music

Today 27th March 2021 makes me the latest to watch this song and once I'm no more, people will remember that I existed in 2021 🤣
This was the time when artists were humble and calm, money was not their problems unlike today's artists. At that time artists were looking problems that really were facing the society and there came songs. Today it's all about fame and money and chains on their necks.
If someone perhaps will be here watching and listening to this in the next 29years to come.. this text will remind them that i was listening to this nice song during covid-19 in 2021 while very far from my home country. I wish to listen to this in 2050. God bless us all.
Exactly
It was because we had a low population and our parent's generation was richer than us.
