I love this song back to those days my brother used play this song almost every day
Je sais pas combien de fois je peut exprimer mes sentiments envers lumba ! Surtout cette dame est vraiement super!! Je suis Rwandaise
Je penses à ma mère 😊 qui aimait tellement cette chanson
Am a late 90's baby, so I can't really say I've growing up listening to this woman, and i didnt know how phenomenal she was in her prime, but recently I develop a hobby for listening to some old school African songs, and I've discover a lot of classics from our own African legendary divas such mbilia bel herself, tshala muana, Monique seka, yvone chakachaka, Brenda fassie, Angelique kidjo, and mariam makeba. I can't help but feeling proud as an African, because for the longest I never really was interested in African old school, but was busy appreciating the american music and modern african music. Its too sad that we, as African don't really know how to appreciate our own culture and pride, we don't cerebrate our own legends or music, like Americans do, take someone like mbilia bel if she was american artist she coulda been in levels like Madonna, or even bigger!! But am just saying, tho
Apparently these songs will never be old. These are songs with enduring value
Brenda Fassie be like Whitney Houston
When I call back my childhood and during my teenage my eyes shade full of tears
So am I and it's like it has been part of me
You've taken me back to a journey of listening to all of the legends you've listed. I'm a late 90's baby as well, now back to the roots.
Thanks! All the best in your life, x 🤗🌻❤
Je l'écoute tous les jours comme toi! Je l'aime trop❤

Really, I'm from the '80s. When I was very young in Dar es Salaam with my parents. Those songs I already heard on RTD, great memory. I miss the old days, today I'm in Mozambique with my family still remembering the old days. Great music, great Mbilia bel

Cette chanson a bercé mon enfance, tellement ma mère l'aimait
First song I heard her sing was Eswi you Wapi back in 1982 when I arrived in the DRC. She was then with Tabu Ley Rochereau and his orchestra. A beautiful voice that produced a string of hits during the 9 years I lived and worked in that country. Thanks to the internet and RUclips, I continue to enjoy so many great songs from her and so many other African musicians from Congo and elsewhere. Love this song and the message. We are stewards of this earth and must learn to live in harmony with nature and with each other. Aksanti.
It's this old
I am a Nigerian, of the Igbo extraction, born in the mid eighties. Growing up in the nineties, this song was part of my childhood. Used to listen to it playing on the radio. Couldn't understand the language, but loved this song so much. Been searching for it for years now. Funny, after all these years, am still madly in love with this song. Nostalgia critical. Thanks for posting this video, you have no idea what you have done for me.

Mbilia Bel, my African queen! We Africans are blessed with talent. Starting from Chinua Achebe to Nelson Madela to you and me. My people, we are beautiful, let no one tell you otherwise. I'm proud of being an African. Hakuna kitu ulimwenguni Kama Afrika...Mamaland! My African people, I'm going to speak like Dr. Alban...African, my people, you are beautiful and full of good people. Unite and make our continent a converted one and make Africa fit for all humanity. Respect is the number one and African gotta have. Respect yourself and you shall respect the whole world. Be kind to others and God shall be kind to you. So, why are my people killing one another in South Sudan? Because they have not learned how to be kind and respectful to one another. Okay, I gotta go now. Bye.
Don't forget Raila baba
So good song thanks

Hi African brothers and Sisters. A number of Africans were translocated to America, their is music similarities in some parts of America, And most of African people originally migrated from Congo region. That is why Congo music is enjoyed by many people in most of the regions of this World. FROM ZAMBIA.

Bana Congo. She is from Congo she performed very much in East and Central Africa. Her music went viral. 1980s were years of peace happiness and and entertainments no place of hate was in peoples minds. Economy was good to all classes of people. Only miss understandings of leadership was confusing the Africans. Viva to women and men who leaved in 1980s.
