You did it again! Very well done. And, again you don't give up! I think many of those viewing learns a lot from you. I hope many are encouraged to start building their own planes! It is VERY rewarding!
Brilliant informative video. You depict real life problems and arrive at solutions through experiment experience and logic. I complement you on your perseverance and patience.
Greetings Julius, your planes are always amazing. Even with the problem on the flight, you still outdid yourself and taught us many tricks. Congratulations and thank you for sharing your knowledge with us.
Hi Julius!, great troubleshooting video about this plane setup!, I hope i can make some videos in my channel like this one. I can´t hide my rage when people is crossing to the runaway... i broke a nice cessna once. Congrats for this great build!
Im really excited you got it flying well. I knew you'd get it dialed in. I look forward to the water take off and landing. That's what the PBY was designed for.
Buenísimo!!!! felicitacionesss.... los hidroaviones son algo especiales, muy buenas las comparaciones de modelos que haces y la edición de video. saludoss
Awesome video of beautiful plane , I was most interested in the analysis part. I have two planes based on your plans. Still waiting for the A10 flying video...
Good Job Julius! If you are going to prepare the Catalina for water operations consider using a trimming on the hull to force the water down otherwise the props will be drowned in water on takeoff.
Any chance of building a Douglas Skyraider A-1H? I built the Oscar Duce and want to add to my Vietnam collection. Next up is the F-4 and the Duce will call in air strikes. Thanks for all your work! Love watching your videos!
Lovely cat, glad you got it flying well! I think the droopy wings contribute to violent stall. I tad of dihedral would help. Ii think the real cat would stall bad too, so maybe realistic! Look forward to water test.
Are your future builds going to start with 25% of the wing chord for CG? After watching, I think that's where I'll start out from now on! Thank you for another informative video Julius!
The only time you can move the CG further back than 25% is when the tail surfaces are larger than normal or the tail moment is longer. Google "Tail Volume Coefficient"..
Good to see you working through the problems and we’ll done on getting it right, I think your issue all along was CG only, if you look at other Cat models there is no significant upthrust, what you are seeing on the blueprint is a higher angle of attack of the whole wing, the thrust line is in line with the wing AoA, and the Stab angle corresponds, this was to give a positive angle to the hull when in water so she would unstick, its not positive thrust it’s positive incidence.
yes you are correct, I ignored the angle of the motor thrust and make it straight on the 3D model, that's where the problem start. If I copy exactly like the blueprint it will be fine. it's like correcting the thrust line to straight when the DC-3 is parking on its tail dragger. I will revise the 3D model and the plans, so whoever wants to build from my plans, don't have to add up thrust anymore.
I've built a pby at zbout the same scale but only tried water take off. Mine has never taken off. The up thrust does seen counterintuitive but I will now try it. Watching yours it just looks to be ballooning all the time like the cofg is to far back. I will certainly try up thrust but 25% of wing cord is no good for water. I've got mine nearer 50%.

Very nice landing you made there ,thanks for sharing the video
After all that setbacks what a remarkable flight! Congrats!

Sir, your incredible tenacity has paid off again. Great job!! 👍
A very good lesson about dynamic stability !! Congrats
I look forward to your building video
Well done Julius, good recovery and good explanation and solution to the problem.
Julius.... you're not an RC aircraft designer. You're a Magician! Well done!

Hello aero ergo ,nice to see you again
@@RC-planes. me too! we all follow Julius, he´s a great master!
So exciting watching your videos!!!!
Thank you!!! Can't wait to see it flying on water ♥️
Congratulations. Finally you did it..Grumman Goose pleaseeeeee...
Amazing work Julius! Im sorry to see you had a crash due to runway hazards, but this model looks amazing in the air!
Congratulations. So nice when you get the right mix of settings 👌
Anda sangat hebat aku kagum dengan kecerdasan anda , menyelesaikan masalah berkali kali tanpa menyerah , angkat aku jadi muridmu🙏
Great video on your trouble shooting. Looking forward to seeing the water action!
Congratulations! So pleased that you have it flying well. Disappointing about the damage resulting from "external hazards". 👍
Beautiful plane, thanks for the explanation on how thrust angles and the solution to your issues.

Nice, hard work pays off!
Finally made it flyable, congrats!
This is Aviation folks...Test flight after test flight until You find THE SWEET SPOT...Well Done Juli Bruh another Success 👍 ... n She s HUGE ...
Thanks for sharing the lessons along the way. :)
Well you fixed it, some nice saves, I might have given up after the crash. Looking forward to the sub hunt .take care.
Muy interesante Julius !!!, espero publiques video de construcción.
Amazing. Love you comment
Good that you can diagnose the plane. The last flight looked good though.
Great job man....🖒🖒🖒

Still waiting for the A10 flying video...
Hadir. Keren bgt om
Very nice plane!!!
Looking good! 25% is where I tend to design my planes...

thank you, I almost forgot it has one in the nose, I will install it
felicitation !!!!!!!!! the work pay
very cool!
Trial and error, trial and error, fantastic my friend!!!!
Nice plane!
Awesome work trouble shooting my friend
i'd like to see how you built this plane and the entire construction of all the things and tools you used to make it in your next videos
soon, maybe next week
Hello Julius! Can you please build a JAS 39 Gripen?I think it would look cool in your collection
Great to see it flying bud knew you'd do it
I was looking at your videos and saw the su 30 you built. Any chance you could post the plans 👍
Excellent!🎉🎉🎉
Great plane and build. But when are you going to built a U2 Spy Plane? Please.....
Hi, Julius! The GREAT Work!!! Your videos are very interesting. PLEASE , tell what kind of soft you are using on 0-54 second of this video.
It's Blender
@@JuliusPerdana Thank you! I dont know this soft yet.... I'll be find it and learn))

for Vietnam era I plan to do Bird Dog
Fantastic

that's pilot error lol
Unik juga ya om sudut mesinnya 😅
Congrats!!
agora ficou bom bom voouu

Julius Hi.
Did you build saab viggen or you have in plan to do?! It flyes very stable and I want to build your version. Thanks

Show de bola muito bonito o aero
Are there plans?I love this plane. I just got permission to fly at my local pond
soon I will release the plans and build video
Om project selanjutnya peswat perang Dunia 2 , Mitsubishi A6m2 Zero jepang
It happens to me too that once the rcplane crashes it flies fine😅
Can you do an F22?
Basic laws of aerodynamics are just a little math and a good measure :)
Can you make a RC mig 29 please?
tight tight tight
ANOTHER CARTOON PLANE!!!! PLEASE!
Build a SU 57 Felon fighter on radio control with EDF
Om..crash pertama.itu kesalahannya ada dimana?
ada yang joging di lapangan
what is your cat name?
The missing one is Tom
Julius, would you be able to create a NEW plane using AI?
I already tried that, but just a random trainer plane, I thought it's not interesting enough to be made into video, but I don't know
😢😢😢
Julius crashed on hard runway, fix and back in air. Ramy crashes on grass strip....total loss.
There's a slight difference in weight, speed, and materials..
GOOD AND SAVE!! YOU DID IT MY FRIEND!! NICE FLY JULIUS!! KERP GOING!! WE ARE WITH YOU!! FIX A CONCORDE!!!!!!
