Eyyyy, you look nice today.
Good lookin' out playa ! Congrats on one hundred episodes ! Honestly Mike you have put me on to so many awesome animes, thank you brotha. #💯 #BonsaiPop
It took me 7 years to read and watch everything from MONKEY PUNCH...
Lupin the Third: The Woman Called Fujiko Mine - was very good...
You forget to mention that Fujiko is the most iconic female character in Japanese animation many illustrator inspire For decades SHE IS « THE » Iconic femme fatale ❤ LUPIN the 3rd IS THE LEGEND 🫡
No you
Eyyyy… u do too… u sweet-mouthed charmer you… grats on yet another milestone. gonna stay subbed throughout ETERNITY
Lupin just never misses. Only recently found out about the newer episodes and was kinda surprised how they honestly just keep getting better and better.
I think it peaked at part 1, part 2, Mystery Of Mamo, Koike trilogy and The first. Would love to go back to cartoon mad man Lupin and gang.
A series so old yet so gold, even my mom loves Lupin the 3rd.
It’s considered a timeless anime however I wouldn’t say it’s mainstream
Part 6 just ended. It is not old. The Goemon OVA was one of the best things anime I have seen
@@Scorpiofrfr yeah I know
And so very cold mold
May favorite occult moment in Lupin III has to be episode 9 of Part 4 where it leads to both a tragic and heartwarming story that shows Lupin's noble side where he's finally able to give the ghost of a young girl peace (while still pulling off the heist). It's always interesting to see this side of Lupin that isn't such a bad guy, despite being a master thief, and it was interesting to see a ghost story used to explore that.
Lupin the third is one of my favorite franchises ever. It's taken me 5 years to watch everything Lupin and you guys did it in a shorter amount of time! NOTHING SHORT OF AMAZING. Mad respect 😉 It's my favorite because the series knows how to have fun. When ever I need to to cheer up Lupin has always been my go too.
Lupin is one of the most fascinating things to come out of anime for me. It’s such a simple formula and yet it’s carried on for decades and decades with very little changing. It’s just instantly iconic
The first Loch Ness monster sighting happened a few years after AliesterCrowely spent years living in a castle on Loch Ness (later bought by Robert Plant from Led Zep), where Crowely tried to summon creatures from the demonic world... co-incidence???
I think NOT🤔
Fun fact he never finished his ritual to bind the demons so their still in the house.Jimmy Page bought the house not Robert Plant. He sold it to was to creepy for jimmy page whitch says alot.
Crowley was known as "the OTHER Loch Ness monster," so... 🤔
This video reminds me of those times in HS when I had to really stretch the prompt to fit it around some topic I was into.
Still, well written as always, and you won't find me complaining about a Lupin video.
I was waiting for this one. Lupin The Third Mystery of Mamo was the first Lupin title that I watched. It still continues to amaze me that a series that pre dates my own birth is able to captivate me to this day.
I think that having the show be split into parts would actually really help you guys break down different eras of the character. Then there's spin offs like A Woman Named Fujiko Mine that could be a whole episode on its own. Nice little compare/contrast with the rest of Lupin.
You should do a Japanese Spider-Man breakdown one of this days just for the fun of it, he is just awesome a man that calls himself the emissary from hell is more rock than spider punk.
Congratulations Bonsai Pop, 100 episodes is huge! I been with you guys since 2019 and it's been a blast my guys. ✌🏾🤙🏾 To many, many more years. 😁✊🏿
I was so happy when I discovered this as well - so good
Technically it’s like, 120 something including videos we’ve taken down or made unlisted, but it’s the 100th official video 🎉
@@BonsaiPop isn’t it freaking weird how not adult friendly RUclips has become if you make adult entertainment that doesn’t include sexual stuff they try to screw you over but they still end up winning because of the views of the videos you get before they take it down the only one losing is the person the made the video that won’t gain anything out of their hard work.
@@mrdisaster5880 unfortunately kids are the ones making RUclips money. adults are more likely to find someone they like and support them on patreon, rather than sit on RUclips and just watch whoever comes up for hours and hours.
RUclips has also been usurped by tiktok in watchtime which has them desperately scrambling to grab a piece of the “micro content” market, which RUclips was never built for.
Essentially they want you making short low quality videos every day rather than long high quality videos every week or so.
If we, or even every single-long form creator were to give up and go away, they wouldn’t care at all.
@@BonsaiPop Well you have a life long fan here. That Lupin 3rd video was crazy with more to come. Oh btw someone on your Patreon uses my real name (Icarus) as their handle. 😁😂😂 Pretty dope.
Ep. 100, and it's a Lupin video!? Hell yeah, I LOVE Lupin the 3rd! Hope you do more similar Lupin vids like this, like talking about how Fujiko was hired by a proxy that works for GOD to get some special bones lol
Congratulations on 100 episodes. To many more!!
Lupin the 3rd is a fantastic series. Love the characters, and wild adventures. So many layers to explore
I never watched loopin but I remember watching a brutal badass fight scene from one of their movies, it was a fight between a samurai and a lumberjack.
That's something lots of non-Lupin fans find. One of Goemon's best moments.
It's a scene in Goemon's Bloodspray! It's a really good (and kinda confusing lmao) movie
Loved lupin since I started watching anime it’s awesome to know it such a a classic and not just some oddball that people have held onto. Even the live actions aren’t horrible since it follows a similar flow.
Definitely blessed by the bonsai on this one.
If you haven’t watched the show get stuck in you won’t regret it.
Aww men i freaking love lupin has a special place in my heart growing up was such a great show, then yall mentioned the nessy episode like wow that was one my favorite episodes of all time, made me love the show more, glad yall made a video of it, definitely a anime to deep drive into, especially the werid episodes
I've always loved Lupin the III, can't wait for my favorite anime channel to cover the series more!
I've actually gotten myself into this series thanks to part 2 airing on Adult Swim back in 2003.
Same!
lupin has been my favorite thing ever for about 2 years now im glad to see you guys finally made a video abt it. a halloween themed vid is not what i expected but its an interesting topic thats not talked about very much among fans. i would love to see a video about the canceled mamoru oshii lupin movie (theres some info about it in the pt iii blu ray extras) that inspired him to make angels egg and got partially adapted last year in part vi. the archangel michael hires fujiko to steal the fossil of lucifer. i also think green vs red would be an interesting topic it has a lot to say about the meta of lupin and its place in pop culture as well as how its audience perceives it.
Congratulations for reaching 100 episodes!
Watch 100%, LOVED 100%, liked, and commented! I found y’all in 2020 over the early lock down phase of the pandemic i needed a show (channel) that grew up in a similar era of anime and manga like I did, and yet still you show me more than I ever could have asked for. Keep on dudes! Y’all rock!
Love Lupin the III. Though I would only catch bits of episodes and movies and never ran through the entirety of it like you did. I will add it to my list.
This is an interesting video seriously this is your 100 video ?If so that’s pretty cool bonsai
Congratulations for reaching 100 episodes! Would love to see more Lupin the 3rd content.
Lupin is great. I’m glad you’re bringing the show to the forefront and opening with a good, simple topic to start discussion is always great.
I love that nothing in lupin is guaranteed. The only thing guaranteed to happen is for you to be entertained by the end of each story. Mixing in “modern” effects to keep the audience on their toes while just never really acknowledging the true occult moments is something I’ve enjoyed about the show since stumbling on it at a Hollywood video back in the day.
I've always wanted to watch Lupin but this has definitely renewed my interest!
Don’t worry, you can pretty much start anywhere without any prior knowledge
This was so good. As always! You make me want to rewatch everything with your perspectives and essays. I love it!
Your videos are always so well done they are a treat in themselves. Pleased to see this topic, I would always enjoy seeing Lupin III when it showed up on tv but never knew enough to look into it further - now I have a place to start!
Congrats on 100 videos guys!! It really threw me for a loop at how unexpected the ending to those episodes were. Loved this particular series of Lupin and absolutely want to check out some of the others.
FINALLY an episode about lupin the 3rd, I'm really excited to see you guys covering it. I haven't watched much of the classic lupin the 3rd media aside from a few of the movies, I'm really interested to learn more about it. Great introduction to Lupin the 3rd, I'm excited to hear your thoughts on the somewhat recent lupin series, especially the spin off fujiko mine series if you cover it.
My first time seeing lupin was actually hayoa miyzaki film but I have yet to see the original show I know I’m gonna have a great time
Apparently part 2 is the best one to start with. The first part is pretty weird.
@@thomasffrench3639 I saw part 1 and it’s fine
I find it funny i get notified a video about lupin the 3rd after pre ordering a 50th anniversary book 🤣
Congrats bonsai pop!!! You guys are the best anime channel on the platform and i'm excited to see 100 more of your videos!
Congratulations Bonsai Pop. I don not regret the day YT commended your channel for me last year when I was dealing with an awful load of depression.
Thank you Mike for making me feel better through a perception to anime I've not seen before.
Always nice seeing you posted
This was absolutely phenomenal. Possibly my favorite video essay of all time.
Banger vid for your 100th guys, Lupin 3rd is now definitely on my list. Thanks for such an awesome intro to the show❤
Loved the video! I'm also glad to see that my meme about you reading a certain book is around.

Nice work.
Yooo great video guys!
🎉❤️Congratulation on getting 💯Episodes and many to come. U guys are the GOATS❤️🎉
Thanks for giving me so much insight on lupin lore as I was planning to watch it but old animation wasn't my thing so I wanted to pick up from where Animation gets good and now thanks to your video I will be able to watch lupin from anywhere I want without getting lost.
i've wanted you guys to cover lupin for so long, i nearly freaked out when i saw the notification
Oo that was a nice/interesting history lesson on lupin today 😁 also congrats on 100 episodes!!
Fantastic video as always!
Those statues are so awesome, but seriously...I could be a Patron for EVERY channel I watch regularly, for a year, for the cost of one.
Congrats on a 100 episodes!🙌 What a body of work! Be proud! This channel is a huge inspiration and I hope I'll be making content even close as good as your stuff! Thank you guys!🙏
Ayo a Bonsai Pop vid during the week that's pretty cool and Lupin figure looks dope as hell plus I've seen it about 4 or 5 times already from other tubers I vibe with lol
Super think pièce video my dudes ! Loved it !

And I'm going to binge lupin the 3rd now. Thank you so much 👍
Just keep doing you. I love your videos and just hearing You guys prospective and thought on different anime series.
Hearing Sophisticated Fight around the 16:00 mark legit gave me whatever the musical equivalent of a good jump scare is, amazing video as always.
Fantastic video per usual
Thanks for the vid
Comment of helpful channel interaction! (I have to watch it later. Looking forward to another bonsai pop vid)
Glad to see a lupin video. Best show ever.
Yoooo so glad someones talking about one of my favorite lowkey anime
Lupin the 3rd is the fucking best and no one talks about it. This is litterally cowboy bepop decades earlier
Congrats on the 100 bro
The greatest heist Lupin the 3rd ever pulled was stealing all our hearts 🕵️
I grew up on this show, I can still remember staying up late on a school night when I was 10 watching loopin try to open the egg shaped safe to get the cure for his poison, or when he fought the vampire. This was a great vid thanks for sharing ^-^
Guys! This video did not even appear on my subscriprion tab. I am a subscriber.
Maybe my fave of all time, thanks Bonsai crew 🙏
Eyyyy bonsai boys!! 100 episodes congrats!!! Lupin is so much fun!
That Guissepe guy's face just SCREAMS "ain't I a stinker?" In that Bugs Bunny voice.
When the "Goemon's Great Adventure" music kicked in, I leapt for joy. :D
Lupin is one of my alltime favorites and I am beyond excited for this figurama statue. I grew up on JRPGs and love Final Fantasy and was excited for the Amano Vampire Hunter D statue but sadly that was a lot too rich for my blood. I hope this Lupin the 3rd Statue isnt as expensive. Its such a beautiful piece of art and even without Goemon on the top of the car with Zantetsuken, it would be an incredible addition to my work desk ;_;. You have so much great stuff to watch with Lupin and even with the wacky dub from part to part its an excellent background show to watch while messing with a game splitscreen or browsing the web. Part 4 and 5 have such fun wacky adventures and the ending to both have such good easter eggs and depth for those who have been with the franchise for years. Don't rush it and just enjoy the ride @BonsaiPop as always appreciate the great video!
The Fujiko spin-off series is a must watch
I love your videos man
love your videos ✌️
There is an episode in the last iteration of Lupin III [ LUPIN THE THIRD PART 6 - 10 (THE MORNING STAR RETURNS #LUPIN6) ] where the archaeopteryx was actually Lucifer.
This plot line also showed up in 009 Re:Cyborg. I wonder if it is a urban legend or something ...
It's a super effective and creepy episode because Part 6 is quite grounded otherwise. Like a horror movie, even the characters don't want to believe that something supernatural is happening until it's nearly too late.
Finally a Lupin vid
Lupin The 3rd did first what JoJo does now. Wouldn’t be surprised if JoJo’s author was inspired by Lupin The 3rd in the stories of all the JoJos.
Hey this was a good episode. You came at it with a good angle and had some interesting stuff to say as always. Humanity's relationship with the supernatural has always been big in my mind, growing up religious and fascinated with the occult. I've concluded it all stems from our love of stories. We can't stop making them, sharing them, analyzing them, and desiring to live them. In a way, each of our favorite products are different gods we've chosen to worship. We pray tribute to them by consumption and collection.
The chapter where lupin becomes a vampire and has to smell dracula's farts to turn normal again was crazy
rip Monkey Punch. I hope one day we get a full English release of the original manga
Grats on 100 eps, fellas 🎉🎉🎉
I have to say that if it weren't for a friend I never would have found out about Lupin III... it's a funny story. When this friend and I got to hang out together he was introducing me to some of his favorite anime on VHS (we met because of a mutual interest in of Ranma 1/2 and his girlfriend, who was one of my friends), so he popped in "The Castle of Cagliostro" and told me how cool Lupin was. We watched literally only a few minutes of this OAV when I pointed at the TV and said.
"I've Played This Game Before" he was confused ... this is a Japanese Animation, how could you have played this before. Well when I was a child my mother was on a bowling league and instead of paying for a babysitter my mother would bring my brother and I to the bowling alley with her. They had a small game room with 3 arcade cabinets and 2 pinball machines. One of those Arcade Cabinets was "Cliff-Hanger" which is Lupin III Castle of Cagliostro" turned into a video game ... similar to Dragon's Lair and Space Ace. So we researched it and I was able to show him that although I was being introduced to this awesome anime ... I was correct, I played it before I watched it.
Bonsai Pop - I am sure you already know about this game, but I wanted to share just in case there was a slim chance you didn't.
Awesome Video Man - Your Ranma video was also great. Keep upi the great work.
That 3rd strike 🎶🎵music at the end is the 🤌BEST!!!🤌
The 2019 movie is honestly a very good time too! I was a big fan of the way they did the animation and the music. After this video I know that I definitely need to dig into the OG series as well hehe
New bonsai video let's GOOOO
Oooo early for this one 🎉
You mentioned scooby do a lot but I remember as a kid, the early 2000 scooby movies had real zombies and witches that threw me for the same loop as lupin did.
Always loved Lupin from watching it on CN, to watching the movies on Netflix. One series that's really good is "Woman called Fujiko Mine". It's a more recent series and shows Fujikos backstory and how she met the guys. It's darker, more serious and less funny(though it still has its moments) than most of Lupin anime but I think that's what makes it so good. The art style is really nice too.
