    Sir please make some features by which we are able to increase the battery capacity or increase the battery power by adding some cells in that. In upcoming years EV cars with more range are there in market but who purchased EV earlier they must have option to increase the battery capacity by paying.

    • @jeettrivedii
      @jeettrivedii 6 месяцев назад +1

      There's only one reason why more range is not given is because of high price of Lithium. Once the prices come down OEMs will put more cells in the battery. It's a cost problem not a technology problem. As for people who have already purchased an EV, they will need to sell their cars or replace the battery if the OEMs proivde the service under warrenty.

    3:26 I believe that achieving 100% electrification is still a long way to go. Meanwhile Plugin hybrid is a great way to reduce carbon emissions considering that it will require less lithium, cobalt and nickel. Also it will consume way less oil than a pure IC engine vehicle. Still we are meeting most of our energy needs by coal and natual gas. In that case it would be unnecessary to load the already stressed grid to charge EVs while we can use conventional petrol engine to power the battery for extended range. Also, let me remind you that we don't have robust charging infrastructure yet to support EV revolution.

    EVs need equal consideration as ICE. Even with a higher price, it's least customisable even at the tata dealership, similar insurance, and faster charging like 4c.

    • @shas312
      @shas312 6 месяцев назад

      Yes. Altroz is a hatchback with a lighter and more aerodynamic chassis. Hence it would be much more efficient. With its killer looks, it can easily become a sporty electric hatch. I waited for Tata to launch the Altroz EV. But with no launch in sight, I went ahead with the Nexon EV Max. I think they are facing an issue with placing the battery in the floor owing to the already less ground clearance of Altroz. Hence they are probably working on redesigning the Altroz based on the acti.ev platform.

    EV cars, bikes and scooters are really great to own as a consumer as it is a better alternative to fossil fuels but the biggest downside is the range fear and the cost of the vehicle by itself.
    For instance here a Tata Nexon might be marketed claiming a range of 450 plus kms on a full battery, but these numbers reflect only by half in real-world scenarios. Of course, if you are just a city dweller you may live with this but most people buy a car to enjoy the open highways and long drives and EVs are hardly able to do that. But if you buy an ICE-based vehicle of the same model you are getting it for a much cheaper price even though the running cost will eventually pile up which is never a problem for the people of this country as most people buy cars in EMI and live with it easily.
    Even though this is not exactly a problem with EVs instead it is the charging infrastructure that needs some serious development. Public charging is not dependable enough most of the time due to the scarcity so home charging is the way to go for most people. Home charging also can't be set up in every type of apartment or community living space due to the requirement of triple face connection mandatory for charging EV vehicles.
    Long story short to stabilize EVs in our country it is going to take a very long time than what we imagine.

  • @TheDeejayrox

    Tata, if you are reading this, reduce your EV prices!!! Lithium prices are falling, you need to reduce prices more and try to capitalize on your leadership position NOW. If you wait, only interested in profits, late entrants like Maruti will undercut and take away your position. Also give proper orientation to your dealers on the future prospects of EV and entice more of them to join you for EV only service stations.

      Really very much disappointed.
      Service team also don't know what to do.

      I'm tried now...
      There is no proper way to report to TATA motors regarding this issue.
      Do you have any idea to whom to report. Also scared to give the vehicle to every Service center for them to learn and do research and development using our vehicle.

      I purchased a Swift ZDI in May 2013. Day 1 heard Suspension sound from rear side. Shocker and chimta was replaced. Day 30 Saw all the treads gone on front tyres, had to escalate the issue a lot to get it replaced. 60 k km- AC Compressor replaced, 110000 KM Gear became free on road. Replaced clutch assembly. My point is these things happen in ICE Cars too. EV is new even for Legacy auto makers even VW Faces such issues

    • @jeettrivedii
      @jeettrivedii 6 месяцев назад

      It is high becase of high price of Lithum and other minerals used in the battery. Lithium prices will come down in the next 5 years so battery replacement cost will also come down. Companies will also provide free battery replacement because it will be cheaper to them too. You still get upto 8 years of warrenty on your battery, it's upto the OEM now. If it's a bad company, then they will not replace your battery for free even if it's under warrenty so be careful in chosing a brand.

    • @krishnachandramenon8
      @krishnachandramenon8 6 месяцев назад

      Hybrids are more polluting by some other research,hybrids still have engines and it's least efficiency, sometimes use engines to charge battery that again increases emissions. IIT studies are biased as it's funded by the Japanese automobile team.

      You do know that hybrid cars are more costly to maintain because there are two things to maintain and what about the battery replacement cost of hybrid cars after its already low mileage will be down more.
      And we have proper data for Nexon ev (launched in 2020) but that cannot be said for hybrid cars.

    • @divyanshbhutra5071
      @divyanshbhutra5071 6 месяцев назад

      5e According to data from over a million drivers of hybrid cars, they're the least expensive to maintain, and have the least breakdowns. Also, you're pretty bad at pretending that hybrid car's battery is the only thing needing replacement. Same goes for full electric vehicle, just 50 times more.
