Thank you, man, for trying to show my country beautifully, while the whole world seeks to distort its image. Syria is beautiful and will one day return to what it was. This is absolute belief. You can visit the Syrian coast, it is amazing and warm, I hope you have a good time.
One of the person I've loved most in my life is a Syrian girl her name is Asma Ibrahim. The love I felt for her was unique and I'll never forget that beautiful relationship. The Syrian people are one of the sweetest earth and I hope the conflict ends sooner than later 🙏🏼
I have a idea as syria whole country her within food is sufficient better and delicious, but I know there is currency sufficient much weak and thier are inflation is very highest 👌
Marshmallows candy,Bearpaw Danish, fruit drink, pizza ,small water...free 🍵hot tea. In America. That's $20⁰⁰ ,,,with tea $6⁰⁰. Based on nyc prices at cheap of standard shops 😢
U choose cheap things but try to eat one meal in gd rest its gonna cost u minimum for 1 person 20 or 30 $ so the same like Europe or maybe more expensive than turkey as an example....😮😮
For reference back in early - mid 2019 one USD would get you 515 Syrian liras. Inflation skyrocketed after the pandemic and the Lebanese economy crisis.
The "Indian Date" juice isn't exactly what it sounds like. Idk how you got your translation, but the two words meaning "Indian date" (tamr hindi, تمر هندي) in Levantine Arabic actually refers to another plant: which would be tamarind! It's extremely hard to extract juice from dates, so correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm inclined to believe that you had tamarind juice :D
I have been there in summer 2023 and WOW i just cant believe it I had so much fun being with my faimily and i can tell the economy is just lowering in value everything is getting more expensive I think i dont know but i think u got overcharged on the date juice
In Greece 1$ is almost equal to 1euro we use. We can buy 1.5 litre (0,39 gallons) bottle of water or for example 0.5 kg (1,10 pounds) of apples. The cheapest food you can possibly buy is a 2.80$ frozen low quality sandwich from small kiosk markets.
This is what Western sanctions have done to Syria's economy. Even after they waged their regime change war. They also continue to occupy the Northern oil fields, further strangling the Syrian economy.
@@sajidkamil1049 Depending of what area of the city you visit, not only are some high in criminality but also areas still where the government is not thought of kindly and police stay away from there. Plus unexploded ordinance is still in the ruins, this is why I was sent there, to clear mines and all UXB. The Russians did most of the work but now trained Syrians are capable. My last tour was 2020
Now you will find some who compare the prices of some products with others and say that you are being deceived and they will not forget, but this is actually the meaning of things depending on their cost and the place of purchase, but what bothers me is how you can buy things for hundreds of dollars in your countries, and when you come and buy something for a quarter of a cent, you say that we were deceived.
When I was there 14 years ago, you could buy the same amount and more for 25 of their currency… the war really took its toll. Someone made money tho, after all, supplying war is the most profitable of ventures.
$1 is equivalent to 14,750 Syrian money?? Damn! That's weak! How did the value of their money get so weak? Even Nigerian currency is higher than their money!
Because Nato decided to destroy them. Even right now US backed rebel groups with US military bases are controlling the regions of Syria that has Oil in them...
Well paid propaganda! Okay but do you know that average salaries in Syria is 10 dollars/month? Doctors earn maxxx,50.... So when you come from the US of course with your income you will find everything cheaper in a destroyed economy... People are under poverty in Syria...

It is their way to tell the whole world that Syria is a cool and safe place, and they probably found you not that experience a mini influencer with 200k followers on RUclips, if you were honest, you would tried to visit Ghoota just one or two kilometers away from Damascus, or maybe they won't let you in. Btw, I am Syrian who just visited Damascus last week, and I inow what I am talking about
Syrians are so kind. I met my first Syrian out here in LA, I thought he was too kind till I found out that Syrians are always like that.

This maybe a stupid question but is it safe to travel to Damascus now? I am familiar with the civil war but only in Aleppo but never Damascus.
No, it's bloody dangerous
yes Damascus is safe, Aleppo is safe also, but NEVER go to Idlib because thats controlled by HTS terrorists
"Indian date" is the literal translation of tamarind lol, in Arabic tamer hind (indian date).
Thnx for the explanation
Are you looking at yourself in the camera instead of the lens? For some reason it looks off when you film yourself
