      This young guy that seems to really know his stuff did a video about the different types of wild lettuce yesterday or the day before. His channel is Feral Foraging. I think there are 3 or 4 different kinds of it growing wild everywhere.

    My adult son had a very bad cut that probably should have been stitched. He made a paste of cayenne pepper and colloidal silver. It stopped the bleeding and helped healing with no infection and very little scarring.

    Hi. Here in Maine .One of my favorites is calendula with plantain and yarrow from the yard. I make salve great for bug bites. As well as sunburn, and much more. I’m going to try the rosemary.

      @debbienielsen368 25 дней назад +1

      I would love it if you shared your procedure for making the salve. I’ve been buying calendula salve so it would be a money saver if I could make my own. Thank you.

    • @jwhite9711
      @jwhite9711 22 дня назад

      @@debbienielsen368 You can get dried calendula at a health food store. Then pick yarrow and plantain found in most yards. Making sure no pesticides have been sprayed. My tip for drying is in my car on a paper towel in this hot weather. Then infuse 1/3 of each in your oil of choice. I usually use a good olive oil or almond oil. Cover over the top of dried plants in a glass covered jar and set in a dark space for 3-4 weeks. I shake them periodically. Next pour through cheesecloth. I’ll link the next step where I add the oil to beeswax for the measurements.

      @@59kuphoff I have experienced more issues with brain fog since COVID, either from having it or losing my hubby to COVID (Dr said grief can cause issues as well) Either way, I'm 58 and don't want to end up in a nursing home before my time because of memory issues etc. Don't know that much about the benefits of different mushrooms but I'm going to see if I can either make a tincture or find it in capsule form. My go to for pain is tea made from 2 rounded teaspoons ground up wild lettuce leaves, 1 of catnip or chamomile and 1 of skullcap. I can't take an NSAID of any kind. I also can't do capsaicin, but do keep a cayenne tincture for other people emergencies.

    I make white willow tincture and boy ~ it works better than aspirin & Aleve, etc. For years i was dependent on the latter for pain relief, but my White Willow tinctures work just as fast, pan relief lasts just as long without the bad side effects !

      @@user-hx4hc4wf9j I buy white willow bark at our local health food store . I put 4 ounces of it in a quart jar, then pour 80 proof vodka over it, completely covering the bark , stirring it until it is all saturated. (Sometimes this requires more vodka after stirring.) Then I cover the jar , label the date & contents on it, and place the jar in a cool dark cabinet. Really easy-peasy ! I usually let the tincture sit about 2 months or more before straining. ~ My husband & I take 3 tsps. every eight hours when we are experiencing a lot of pain, and it works well !

      Someone mentioned a video on how to forage it and collect seeds etc. The video is on the Feral Foraging channel. Maybe you could pick up some tips from that. I'm going to watch it next. I have several kinds growing in and around my yard but my husband used to spray roundup on the edges of our flower gardens so I'm not too sure about using them. I will have to forage some from someplace else.
