    I broke my left humerus at the top, and my left shoulder, in a fall on Memorial Day weekend. I saw an orthopedic surgeon two days later. He put my arm in a brace and assured me that the bones were lined up well. I began liberally applying comfrey salve that I had made in October of last year, twice a day, to my shoulder and over the entire upper arm. When I returned for my follow up visit at the two week point, he told me the interior part of the bone was well healed, and told me to remove the brace twice a day, giving me some simple exercises to do with my arm hanging down straight by my side. I am now completely out of my brace and have regained about 70% of the function of my left arm, at only 5 1/2 weeks post injury. I am 67 years old, and was told to expect a minimum of eight weeks before even beginning physical therapy. Praise God for His gift of this healing herb!! ❤

      I just wrote you a reply because the same thing happened to me and I’m 68. Mine didn’t heal because the brace didn’t immobilize the arm, and I went back and it was horribly damaged! He gave me another brace and physical therapy, and now 10 months later, it’s still not healed because of lack of blood flow, and I have Lyme, which restricts blood flow. I’m low in iron and now I need another MRI and a CT scan! I won’t get that until August: 11 months after I broke it! Then, I have to get back to see gay he says. I wish I had a decent doctor who treated this properly, and I knew about comfrey! They told me nothing about healing this.
      Next time, I’m taking your advice! But I hope I don’t do this again!
      I’m alone running a house and I’m only 4’ 9”, so I’m always up on ladders and falling!
      Best of luck to you!!

    Im a big fan of comfrey. I had a knee replacement, which of course involves cutting away bone and attaching the implant. I used comfrey compresses as soon as stitches were out, and at my 6 week checkup the surgeon was amazed that already the bone was about 80% regrown. There are also comfrey tablets, or you can make a comfrey tincture...

    A few years ago my daughter's 5-6 lb. chihuahua fell off the bed and broke her leg just above the knee. She was taken to the vet for surgery to pin the bone, but the bone was too tiny so the vet wanted to amputate. My daughter called me for help as I am an herbalist. I knew the little dog wouldn't keep a poultice on, so we gave her homeopathic comfrey (Symphytum officinale) for a month or so. The little dog limps a bit (barely noticeable) and can even run. The vet surgeon didn't even try to realign the bones, but the comfrey was amazing.

      What is homeopathic comfrey? Also, is it possible to use dried comfrey leaves to heal a broken bone? My sister broke her leg and wants to use comfrey but I think she ordered the dried leaves. Can you tell me if it’s possible to use that and how to apply it? Thank you so much 🙏🏽

    • @1charlastar886
      @1charlastar886 Месяц назад +1

      @@Megan41ish Yes, you can use dried or fresh comfrey. Fresh is best but I knew the doggie wouldn’t leave a poultice on, so I chose a homeopathic form that is a special form of the herb produced to focus on the energy of the herb rather than the medicine. It is applied to sugar pellets or tablets, then dissolved in water or the mouth. If dissolved in water, it can be dipped or rubbed on the damaged area.
      I would constantly see soaking the leaves in a little water to soften then applying the leaves and liquid daily as a poultice. But please constantly set also using homeopathic comfrey called Symphytum 30X or 200X potency 3-4 times daily for weeks.
      Many years ago I saw photos x-rays of a crushed leg bone that reformed and came back together using fresh comfrey poultices over several months.
      You can also soak the dried comfrey root, grind it and use it n a poultice.

      Once comfrey spreads, it is nigh impossible to stop. Maybe you planted a hybrid, that does not make seeds? If so, bravo. If you have a version like the russian one, it makes seeds. You can prevent this by clipping it short when you see the flowers.
      One inch of root can make a whole new plant. The roots go down about eight feet deep.

I found it interesting what was said about ingesting comfrey, as i believe that she made a hot tea and also drank it after juicing it. This was filmed the last week of school. I don't have the capacity to film and edit the day of posting

    I can't take Tylenol, I get a stomach ache from it that I could end up in the ER. You do all these great homesteading things but send your child to a school, why not homeschool?

      You should really listen to the video I did on homeschooling here if you're interested on why/how we make decisions for our children

      @@tienkami Okie dokie, then. Thankfully, we're all entitled to our opinions, and as adults, we can agree to disagree. If I had comfrey growing last June when I broke both sides of my ankle and my shin, I'd definitely have done exactly as was done in this video. Have a blessed evening.
