    Illegal and dangerous crossing of borders should be discouraged. In that sense, it was right that he was deported. At the same time, the EU immigration system should be reworked. Right now, it is clear that there is a demand for people in various important professions which cannot be fulfilled by local or sometimes even European people. These professions should be made available also to people from impoverished countries, who, under a well functioning system, could come over legally, work on a temporary basis and then return. It would be a win-win both for the EU which would get access to much needed labor and for these people who would make many times what they make back home, allowing them to raise the living standards in their own countries.

    There is always a chance to restart. Understand that God gave you Gambia as your own country, its your responsibility to struggle fight and rebuild it. That's how the next generation will have good future, running to other countries and living as a strangers is more worse then being in your own country, atleast you have your family near with you, there will be someone to listen to you, I lived and worked in another country for 27 years when I returned back, I'm a stranger in my own country, I use to send all my hard earned money without fail every month to my loved ones, they all became doctors Engineers, now they gone out to other countries and live their, And I'm here alone and puzzled, about my own life, so no use to uproot yourself, Be like a tree , where God plants you , You grows there.

    1 billion of people having decent (or bearable) lives VS 6 billion suffering.
    If you stand for equality and against discrimination (and happen to live in a Western country) YOU have got to be prepared to share YOUR welfare with 6 other people.
    No matter how you cook it it's about sharing the place under the sun with limited resources.
    If you believe in the "limitless abundance" and love, ignore this comment and continue living in your bubble.

    • @richardwitherow5289
      @richardwitherow5289 5 лет назад +8

      No. We made our countries great on our own. We have no moral obligation to share it with anyone else.

    • @nunyabiz5128
      @nunyabiz5128 4 года назад +1

      Someone can stand for equality & against discrimination without the obligation to share the fruits of their labor. A personal stance on equality or discrimination is a mode of thought. Resources being physically limited is tangible & can be quantified. Equating all 3 is illogical unless you are referring to the intentionally blind who believe some magical being will suddenly fix everything.
      If equality means one has to share what they earned with 6 other people does that mean those 6 people are now obligated to share back to that person? A true believer in equality would see that what's fair for one is fair for all & discrimination includes forcing people w different life choices to compensate for each other.

Their first obligation is to take care of their citizens first. Then help true refugees that are in immediate danger. I do feel sorry for him. But the money that he used to pay smugglers to help him get into another country... could be used to help him start a small business.
