The MIT guys did not "rob the casino". They literally used their brains to beat a beatable game. Nothing illegal was done. Casinos can stop you from playing for card counting, but you haven't done anything illegal doing it.
Like masturbating on a plane
They didn’t “rob” the casino in the broad terms of the word but, they robbed them by cheating them out of hundreds of thousands of dollars. Knowing that a stock is going to rise or fall isn’t illegal, it’s still cheating though. It only becomes illegal when you start trading that information amongst friends or employees of said stock. You can rob something without robbing them in the broader sense.
@seaberry11 No, they just didn't rob them at all In any sense of the word or term.
They played by the rules of The Game. If there's an exploit in the game, the casino should fix that, if they can't, and it could be exploited.
It's not Robbery, if someone does the exploding, it's literally not even cheating. It's just taking a part of the game that Most people don't have the brain power to do, or I guess the math smarts rather.
And using it to your advantage. Why wouldn't you? I would, I'm sure you would, and as he said no laws were broken.
No rules were even broken.
The Casino can ask you to stop playing, in fact they can outright ban you.
It's very well-known that Dana White, The President of the UFC is banned from a ton of casinos in Vegas because he just cleans house playing blackjack.
I don't know if he's card counting or if He's just extremely lucky/good When it comes to that game But whatever it is they don't like him.
But my point is They didn't rob them in any sense at all.
They just did what we all wish We could do, and outsmarted the house who Typically always wins.
Edit: Also the stock trading thing isn't a fair comparison. Because people do go to jail for insider trading, No one ever goes to jail for card counting Because it's not a crime, insider trading is.
@@tonyjrdeets You are very much wrong. Not about counting cards, thats true, there's no rule against it and basically EVERYONE does it on SOME level, though if youre REALLY good or REALLY bad Casinos will take notice and prolly ban you. However what they were doing could very well been viewed very illegal, as they were in fact in a conspiracy to defraud an establishment to the tune of hundreds of thousands of dollars if not millions. They worked as a team, employed codes and disguises to relay clandestine information to each other without alerting dealers and pit bosses to their actions and allowed them to lose little and win big. That is in no way the rules of the game.
The beauty of “John Doe’s” last two sins is that they weren’t planned. He only put that together once he started feeling envious of Brad Pitt’s character for having a loving wife and child on the way.
Mysterio in the mcu was pretty smart
I thought Zemo was pretty smart as well
If Mysterio isn't still alive the writers are total idiots. He is the master of illusion. Faking his death as a hero and exposing spiderman was his victory.
😅It's not a coincidence that Kevin Spacey is on this multiple times, I guess, considering that he is a real-life villain 😂
The irony: he plays a genuinely nice guy just as effectively. 😱
Turns out there was a reason why Kevin Spacey played such great villains....because he actually is one 😂....allegedly.
I suppose John Doe got a head to get ahead.🥁
In A New Hope, Palpatine is so on the ball, he doesn't even show up
Man, if only Kevin Spacey didn't turn out to be a real world villain.
One of my friends pointed this out to me. In the movie The usual suspects can see Kevin spacey's eyes darting back and forth looking around the office and picking up bits of information that he uses in his story. When the cop is drinking the coffee he's looking intently at the coffee cup that's where he obviously got the name Kobayashi. Great detail to story telling
Watchmen better be on this list
And Se7en
This is a sequel list; Watchmen was on the first one.
It really doesn't make sense that people would still believe mysterio considering his illusions were negated for huge stretchs of time. People could see the drones live and on video. Not to mention all the drones that were destroyed for evidence.
I know that would be for another video since it's an animated TV series, but I wonder, compared to Zemo in Captain America: Civil War, how smart the terrorists in the South Park Imaginationland Trilogy were to cause a war between Imaginationland's two opposing factions, the Good characters (with a messaniac Butters taking command) and the Evil characters (with the Woodland Critters taking command), each representing good thoughts and bad thoughts, respectively. Then the terrorists got themselves killed by the united Evil characters to make the war continue without either side knowing they were set up. And the Evil half of Imaginationland's war crimes destroyed any excuse of them being set up as much as the Good half However, the Good half ended up winning and the Evil half were punished by imprisonment with Butters (wisely) refusing to "re-imagine" any dead Evil characters, including any Evil character killed by the terrorists and pinned on the Good characters like the terrorists did with many Good characters (including the Mayor of the Good half of Imaginationland, who I can't call the Mayor of Imaginationland as a whole because he wasn't in charge of the Evil half, they had their own person in charge who might have also been killed by the terrorists) and framing the Evil ones for that. Anyone think the terrorists had a smart plan? I'm not sure they did.
I’ve been Ellie with What Culture, I hope you have a magical day and I’ll see you real soon! 😊
Don't perv on a little child
Going to get canceled showing Kevin Spacey so much 😂
I still dont understand why he didn't saw through the chain instead of cutting his foot off in Saw
The other homie tried and broke the saw in the beginning.
It was a dulled blade. It could cut through flesh, but not metal.
John Doe changed his plans when the cops showed up at his door and he had to break Brad Pitt's face. He turned his attention towards Pitt's character and only after that becoming envious of his life and wife. Them after that yes he manipulated Pitt's character into wrath.
The most genius villain was John Doe, in the motion picture, 7even. John Doe actually wins! Everyone was powerless against him.
Don't think 7 was a "complete plan". You even say the first 5 victims weren't related "except their sins." Must've forgotten how Pitt and him got in a fight in the rain. That's when he realized his final 2 victims.
I'd argue that the killers in Murder on the Orient Express were not villains. They were anti heroes/vigilantes at the worst.
Mysterio died a lying punk in spiderman not a hero
If you give credit to the villain in The Departed, then it’d be more appropriate to laud the villain from Infernal Affairs…because The Departed was a complete copy of that movie, including the whole thing about the police plant. I wish Scorsese would’ve offered the credit to that movie for his Oscar.
