I have a Beelink with a very similar CPU/APU as the AM06, it has the Ryzen 5 5560U, great little computer, will play most Indie games and older AAA games all day long, defiantly good enough for a daily driver as long as your not doing anything that is super CPU intensive.
@TechDweeb You've developed a really slick brand with lots of details and texture and style that's fun to watch even for products I'm not interested in buying. Bu... but, if your sponsors are reading, I AM interested in buying their products. All of them! Especially the ones they send you for free
These Mini PC can be a good replacement for Raspberry Pi arcade builds, Thank you Mr Dweeb, your content is always enjoyable and informational. Keep up the Great work
Love those little PCs. I have one in my bedroom and it jams just as much as I need it to. I may upgrade in the near future, but i just can't justify at the moment, but when I do I'll be sure to use your amazon link like a good dweeb.
I got the same specs on my laptop. It's alright for a midrange laptop it beats my 7 year laptop. Although the gpu is on the lower end. So it's a midrange lower end budget system. Eta prime got to run botw but he push the performance to the max. Me I'm not too fond of pushing it. So I usually use my old 7 year laptop for running batocera.
It's got the same chip as my work laptop, so I had the chance to see the performance my laptop won't be achieving, because it's a work laptop for work. Unless I get a bigger ssd for it, in which case it'll definitely game because it can!
I always wonder with these little boxes if an eGPU would make it a true gaming beast... I think that separated gaming PC components would be an interesting aesthetic, if somewhat limited by communication bandwidth or whatnot... I came from the Apple ecosystem in days gone - and I still restore old ones - and some really nice monitors got ignored because the PC inside had an easily dated GPU component you couldn't change. I mean, a 5k monitor with a 395x? Yeah, it was a good card - but gaming with it at 5k in 2015 would still have been, um, rough... I digress, fellow dweebs. Personally, I'd love to see more cRPGs on these little boxes in benchmarks (but I realize it isn't what most folks care about in fps scores). The CPU is often as important as the GPU with all the math stuffs, and I've seen quite a bit of bottleneck on (admittedly older) CPU/Graphic Card combinations - Owlcat's Pathfinder is actually kinda mean, PoE can be surprising. Anywho, thanks for another video!
Really impressed it is not full of bloatware!! That and the fact that it is not noisy are two very important factors for me. Very silly question: in terms of gaming how different do you think this APU is compared to the 5600H? The 5600H draws more power so it may be better for gaming/emulation. Your humor btw is just AWESOME 😎😎😎
Not sure tbh. I haven't had a chance to try the 5600H yet. Probably not as powerful as that, like you said because of the power draw, so if raw performance is what you want then it's not going to do as well, but I think the 5650u will be more efficient, and I doubt they're THAT far apart for performance anyways.
I'll upgrade to a mini pc eventually, but I think that I'll wait a bit and go for DDDR5 as the benefits of fast RAM for the graphics are significant. Triple decker PBJ form factor is burned into my psyche. Now you made me hungry! 🤤
The mini PC this guy is reviewing is junk. It truly is cheap in every way. @@hi_its_jerry Well, first off, I am just a consumer like you, so not paid. This is my personal PC and it excites me to see the power this little thing has, especially coming from an 8 year old HP laptop with quad core i7, 16gb ram, and Samsung 840 EVO SATA SSD. Yup, you can do video editing. Heavy stuff will get laggy (effects, filters, etc), but normalish video editing should work fine, and rendering is fine too.
