    So, this is poor coverage of an issue. What kind of threats did they receive? What "microaggressions?" What statistics back this up? You have to do a better job with details and facts.

      Let me guess, you're white. If I'm wrong, I'm wrong, but your statement REEKS of whiteness.
      Unless someone overtly comes out and says, I'm doing xyz because you're Chinese, or Japanese or Black or whatever, there can always be plausible deniability and that event won't make the stats that you so desperately want. But if you're the one on the receiving end, you don't need stats to back up what you're experiencing. Events like this are tallied, but only a tiny fraction are tallied because again, unless someone is dumb enough to overtly say why they're doing what they are, it doesn't get counted.

      I see it get thrown around a lot. I personally know 1 or 2 store owners who were hassled for maintaining restrictions and probably got a slur here or there. But so did most businesses? I imagine this is a far more of a local issue in the big cities than it is literally everywhere else.
