@@coreym594 the law will be uninforceable anyway. Probably nothing much to worry about in any real sense. Obviously if someone really really hates someone and acts hostile to them that's not acceptable, never was anyway. This new law lowers the bar and makes it putty and worse.

I'm trans, and I do disagree with some (not all) of the stuff she says- but I wish people just sort of debated her rather than sending her threats and intimidating her.
It's all about religion. The other groups are a deflection. These are blasphemy laws to prohibit people speaking out about possible dangers from a particular religion.
That's what I am afraid of. No freedom of speech (which means we don't have democracy).

Regarding the NHS, the computer systems have been put in place by private companies, they've (mostly) over promised and under delivered. Which is what you might expect when contracts are awarded by size of donation to the Tory party rather than competence or expertise.
It all depends on how the law is applied. There is a difference between an opinion and spreading hate. Social media can take an opinion and fuel hatred depending how users engage with it. This is where the lines become blurred. You either avoid contentious topics or go along with the most profitable narrative. I admire people who refuse to play along, even if I disagree with their opinion.
