Crazy how long ago this was, I was only 16 when I wrote this song.. but yes a dedication song to those who are gone by never lost. Never gets old for sure. And all the footage is 100% real.. my uncle captured this on camera. Because he was tired of death happening every single weekend on our Reserves. He wanted to show the community and furthur communities how much pain our people are in and how lost we all are. And thought maybe it could do some good. But we never thought we would make a music video out of the footage captured. But it happened. I guess it was all meant to be.. and brought healing to the world. Sincerely; Walking Bear
Ooooh man my bestfriend was so excited to meet them when they came to red lake, MN.. I can just picture her all super cheesy 😁 ..... What I would give to see her again. Rip SLH 🥺
Thank you . Old one but still a good one.. I'm so happy it still helps people when they lose someone.. by the way the interview is real.. it's not acting. People always ask me if it's real.. yes its very real.. happened in my life when I was a young teen.
I Love all their songs! n i can think of alot of ppl to dedicate this song to! I grew up in a bad place Poetic Warriorz inspire me to make my own music.. Im native to so their music means alot to me along with alot of you on here but thats all Pce
I don't mind you keeping the video up- it was produced to help people with similar struggles. I only took it down because of some personal issues, but it's fine now. I know the video has helped many people- I made the comment because the info was inaccurate and I was surprised to see it here- the full version is 45mins.
I feel you little brothers and sisters... Be Strong young people! Talk to your ancestors your gramas and granpas... even if they in the Spirit World... they hear you and they love you! Talk to your Creator... I know how it is to hurt for loved ones we lost... Best to honor their lives by living your life to the fullest! This is a beautiful way to honor your friends... Creator Bless you all...
This video still hit hard...props to Jode for this...speak alot of truth...send a message about whats going on in our communities today. and to have this video based in a communitie that is tied to mine because all three nations go through this...soo mad props !
We lost a dear native brother, a close brother, Michael Price. Your song touch's our hearts, to share with your native brothers and sisters, we truly take your words to heart. Kleco' kleco for your strength in creating this full verson, dedicated to those native loved ones we lost.
This was a video that I produced with my Nephew as the key interview- The group is called the Poetic Warriorz and the video and the group is out of Chippewa Territory (Great Lakes Region) Not B.C.
Life is never easy you know. Everybody losses the one you truly love the most. I've lost so many elders, brothers, sisters. It does suck when you lose them. Im Martin R Sampson Jr from Swinomish tribe in La Conner Wa.
Thanks for the correction. I got the video because I do education in many First Nations communities here in B.C. and I was looking for some powerful examples of use of technology by First Nations groups. This obviously qualifies. I uploaded it as an experiment but it's gotten quite a few views. Tell me if you're not okay with it being online and I'll take it down. Peace
RIP Lady AK. My heart goes out to your community.
